Description for magnum says that Harpoon acts like any other turret. Does that means, auto aim is enabled for harpoon? Do we need to adjust the pressure as per the distance we want to fire?

Yes, I believe the parameters have to be set by the player even in the case of mobile, or if any mobile player knows better, he/she might be able to rectify if I am wrong or explain a bit more thoroughly.

The description just gave you the gist of the augment, it's not to be taken literally.

It has no auto-aim. What changes is that its angle of elevation is fixed at 3 degrees upwards with a slight decrease in projectile gravitation. This will make it shoot in a straight line in front of you for a relatively short range. Because the range is short and accuracy is high due to the elevation of the turret being low, you are encouraged to fire 100% velocity shots, like throwing a Harpoon at something with maximum strength, hence the name.

Due to nerf of magnum damage, and long reload,

I rarely see any magnum unless there is a camping spot for height advantage.

The 100% velocity works for close range and long range too in the same way?

Because the angle is fixed at 3 degrees, your range is artificially shortened. In order to hit targets that are far away, you will need to rock your hull in a way that pushes your elevation upward. Hunter, Dictator, Hornet and Wasp do this well.

Here is a video of Harpoon so you get a gist of what it feels like to play it compared to the other Magnum augments.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I keep 3 degree with any other alteration will that be same? I tried, it does not work. Does Harpoon also require any skills like other augments to fire?

how about very very close range in dealing with firebird, isida or freeze?

Horizontal Magnums by default have their elevations set at 12 degrees. The only Magnums that can manually change their elevations are vertical Magnums, those being the Reinforced Gun Carriage, Automated Gunpower Loading Mechanism and Mortar augments. If you were to set those 3 augments to 3 degrees and shoot a 100% velocity shot, the distance the proectile travels before hitting the ground will be slightly reduced as Harpoon has a slightly weaker proectile gravitation than Stock.

Not...necessarily, since it is meant to be a close range, high-accuracy augment for Magnum. You'll still need to get accustomed to using it so you'll have the muscle memory needed to use it to its full potential.

Harpoon is the Magnum augment best equipped for close range encounters, yes. This is thanks to its low elevation that does not penalise you for prioritising high velocity shots, and the decrease in overal splash damage which lets you take less self-damage when hitting enemies up close.

I am finding the new magnum much easier to use now due to more splash damage . Can anyone tell which alt is best with current magnum ? Also I liked the 12 degree more than the 8 degree now , what are your thoughts?

12% was better for accuracy and doing trick shots nearby

8% no accuracy, far range, better splash damage

How's it "ruined"?

Probably referring to the no-damage bug for Magnum that others are saying have reappeared... I'm scared to try it out now.

Great, so Magnums now shoot as if they are on the moon.

The recent changes to this turret are too many and the changes have been taken too far.  It should not shoot this way.  I am sure these changes were made for phone users.  There is far less control over the turret.  The only part that needed changing was the reload speed.  None of these other changes were necessary for the performance of the turret.

Very dissapointing.

I have tried andrine magnum, my default augment, still feel long reload

I change to fast reload augment, the default 8 degree fly far away across map like sepora in 2s, very useful.

On mobile, the no horiz rotate is no issue. Just keep shooting to rain magnum shot on enemy base, but kill ratio is not as high as my shaft, but i guess the damage output is bigger for damaga mission

Updates on the disastrous Magnum, defensive problems of raising without being discovered when you are in the shelter of a wall. If these are improvements for those who play on mobile they have ruined the game for others. Game in clear worsening instead of improving it goes to ruin, only the flying and magnetic bull**** that is abortions for those who cannot spend and spread is interested

No need to write the non-english part as well, English only would do just fine ^^

Buff review:

Fire rate buff ✓

Equipment requirement reduced X

Variety increased ✓

Skill requirement increased for playing lame ✓

Reward for playing properly ✓

Bug fixed X

Horizontal and Vertical Magnums brought to equal strength ✓

Overall quite a nice patch. It's nice thay we can finally play augments that were completely dysfunctional for long periods of time. One complaint though - why is RGC now 245k crystals despite AGLM STILL BEING A DIRECT UPGRADE TO IT?

See : He says skill is required and it is like the same old magnum without or with other augments except elevation is at 3 degree and splash damage is required. The velocity changes based on the opponents hull.
