Btw, useless Augment, imagine I'm ignoring the grace Heat Immunity, and buying Augment to ignore the penetration in Railgun... But if the ignore cover even the penetration when the shoot comes through his teammate, maybe it worth.

Did they just make the worst overdrive even weaker?  Unless I'm mistaken, I don't remember the burning effect of vulcan being as effective to those under Titan's dome, as I have recently.

Also, if a Hornet is within dome range, activating Titan OD should disable their OP overdrive.

the potentially new Hull AUgment AP Immunity is a counter against Hornet OD. A titan would beneficiate from it.

They took away the dome's ability to decrease the heating and cooling rate of ignition and freezing back when they nerfed it in December. 

 

But seriously, when did it every reduce the heating and cooling rate? Even when I was in the dome I was getting put to maximum and minimum temperature almost instantly.

This never happened.

Maybe Hunter OD disabled hornet OD - but I have my doubts since it won't disable viking OD.

They have made Titan OD almost useless since there are 6 ODs that either ignore it or disable it.  These days you basically save it to disable another Dome or to neutralize Wasp bomb.  Pretty sad IMO.

I'm saying it should happen, not that it has happened.

But yeah, Titan is the worst OD by far.

idk why but I've only noticed this recently.  If Titan dome isn't getting disable by other ODs, I'm getting murked by Vulcan incendiary band.

Kinda coming back to tanki maybe for a bit...you all are saying titan is the weakest now? How is that a thing. Kinda frustrating. Wasp always had the weakest I thought, but maybe now titan has that role.

I don't remember exactly when you left, but since then the way some overdrives interact changed. Wasp's bomb can now deal full damage in a titan dome(but if a dome is place over a bomb after the bomb was planted, the bomb is disabled). A new hull called Ares has an overdrive that can deal damage ignoring the dome. Recently, the hornet OD rebalance means that if a hornet activates overdrive with you in sight, you get an Armor Pierced status effect for 9 seconds. If you have this status effect, anyone who shoots you will deal full damage ignoring DA, modules and even titan's dome. So now, titan's dome has so many counters within Overdrives alone(wasp, hornet, hunter, other titans, mammoth, ares).

So now if you are putting down a dome, what you are doing is setting up a nice visual signal for your enemies to come to you, use one of the overdrives and get some free kills out of you and all the other team mates who decided to enter your dome.

There are 6 overdrives that either ignore or bypass the Titan Dome.

Hunter OD and Titan OD will disable a Dome already placed.

Ares, Wasp, Hornet and Mammoth all can do full damage to the targets in the Dome.

It's almost not worth deploying the dome - it's been relegated to countering wasp bomb or another titan.

And then there's the AP augments coconuttree mentioned which means any hull can ignore the dome.

Hornet OD lasts for 20 seconds.  Don't see anything documented that says hornet-OD armor breaking lasts less than 20 seconds.  Maybe the 9 seconds is for the augments?

The sonar (enemy position and HP bars) lasts for 20 seconds. The armour-pierce that Hornet applies to the enemies in its FOV lasts for 9 seconds.

And yeah it's not documented because like I said before, the wiki for it isn't updated yet.

So it received a double nerf (only targets in view & went from 20 seconds to 9 seconds).  SWEET!

If it makes you happier-

If a Hornet uses its OD in a DM battle, all tanks in its visible range get the AP status effect, which means their defences have been ignored/bypassed. This can be used by other tanks too! If tank A has activated Hornet OD, and tanks B and C get the AP status effect, then any other tank can deal full damage to tanks B and C. Further, if B and C are fighting among themselves (1v1 situation), they will deal full damage to each other as long as the AP status effect is active on their tank.

Oh I understand how it works.

But it's nice to know the individual hornets get a nerf.  Their scoring will be affected and I do feel a little joy at that news.

Twins, fire and Isida have a huge advantage, especially considering we will see more of the "smaller" maps during this 2 week "test".

No matter what the phrase "visible targets" means, last modification to its overdrive ends a exclusive strategy in the game.
But what is that strategy...well. hornet overdrive was the only one that could activate its overdrive while tank was hidden behind any building or wall, under a bridge, inside a tunnel...waiting the exactly moment to attack or to defend. Hornet activated its overdrive, and then came out to attack o simply for the enemies to appear.
WASP.- It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden..

HOPPER..-It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden.. 

HUNTER.- It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden..

VIKING.-It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden.. 

DICTATOR.- It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden..

ARES.- It Is not useless to activate overdrive while being hidden..

TITAN.- LOST INFLUENCE OF DOME if activate while being hidden and then its mode

MAMMOTH.- Why not to apply the same modifications that hornet overdrive. Make that only "visible tanks" be wiped

Conclusion:

Hornet is not anymore an wise option.
