Mines idea. Mine alterations, different types of mines, different mines.

Why??? I hate the mine alterations idea! That's P2W. I just asked for a new supply, that worked like a mine. Can you move it to the ideas for supplies section, if it exists, @Hate? Also, delete this post if you do so.

We can move it there but I think either this or the other topic that has different types of mines would be a more suitable topic in my opinion. I think that topic is even better than this one. it is for any different types of mines.

Dunno if this has been posted yet but...

 

When you run over a mine, a sphere like the Titan overdrive appears around you, but encases you in. The encasing slowly kills you unless a teammate destroys it.

Idea about mines.

 

I think double pressing on the mines button should detonat all the existing mines that you have, it good idea if an ennemy is chasing you and you place a mine but he dodges it, so you double press then the mines will deal area damage, not full damage but at least it does some.

Alterations for Mines, altrerations for weather, alterations for tracks, alterations for internet speed... Its gettin awkward.

Idea about mines.

 

I think double pressing on the mines button should detonat all the existing mines that you have, it good idea if an ennemy is chasing you and you place a mine but he dodges it, so you double press then the mines will deal area damage, not full damage but at least it does some.

What if the cooldown is completed? Would you drop a new mine and detonate the old one at the same time?

1) big "OOMPH" mines.

Pros: impact force is increased by 450%.
Cons: damage is reduced by 90%.

2) highly piercing mines.

Pros: damage is increased by 60%.
Cons: cool down time is doubled.

3) remote explosive mines.

Pros: adds splash damage of 8 metres. Can detonate by pressing and holding down the same key that you used to lay the mine.
Cons: also adds self damage of 8 metres.

4) limpet mines.

Pros: can shoot mines at far ranges just by pointing and pressing the mine key.
Cons: can not be laid.

5) turret mines.

Pros: can choose which turret you want to spawn just by equipping it in the alteration section, and can shoot at enemies farther than normal mines.

Cons: turrets here has 3 times less damage than the turrets on the tanks and 60% less damage, also has an ammo bar, in which if it runs out, then the mine vanishes.


So what do you think about this list of mine alterations? :)

I think that supplies already play an incredibly big role, so making just another supply better does not really sound like a good idea to me personally.

 

 

 

Unless mines replace the usage of other supplies by cooldown obviously...

Well, I know that, but alterations for mines are optional, which means that players can choose to buy them or not. New players will get used to mines and alterations when they progress through their ranks.

Mines should have their augment. For example if someone steps on my mine and I have heat augment for mine then the tank not only gets damage from my mine but also the burn effect (unless that tanker has heat immunity) and yes the damage will be reduced when this augment is on. The same for freeze augment, except now the tanker will be freezed ( unless that tanker has freeze immunity)

My point being all kinds of augments can be associated with the mines. Stun, Jammer, EMP, Heat and Freeze (Sorry if I am missing out any), They will be available in Ultra container, for crystals and as a reward in challenges.

Oh sure, while we're at it....

Jack-in-the-Box mine: the enemy (and those near him) are hit with a RANDOM status effect with damage to those who are not immune to that specific effect triggered OR a random free supply activates (Damage, Nitro, Armor, Healing) OR an impact bubble just like the Juggernaut overdrive (no damage).

there is already a drone for this, Minner, why would you add that aug. when you already have the drone for that, you would have to change the function of minner then, just like what happened to trikster. Honestlly when you think of a mine you dont think of a bunch of crazy things like you explained. You just think of an explosive device that waits for an enemy to come to it. The only ones i like that you suggested are

and thats about it. I like the concept of the mine being able to follow the tank, but then it wouldnt really be a mine at all. I wouldnt mind that being a thing, but it shouldnt be considered a mine. it should be something new, such as a new supply that would cost more then a reggular mine.
