I just got suckered into splashing the much saved up tanki coins I had saved up on 10 Ultra containers...do NOT get them. I received nothing from 10 other than 250 mines, 250 da, 125 dd, 125 speed, 7000 cry, Egypt paint, and I can't remember the other item.

I have had much better luck just getting containers weekly and 3 times getting an augment. Please do not waste ANY time on them. Huge rip off.

try to save and open 15 containers i tested it few monthes ago in test server

i was getting yellow and purple tire much more often if you have all paints and alt

Gambling your life into oblivion is fun though.

 

Anyway I opened up some containers on a couple of accounts on mobile and I got radioactive jelly animated paint, EMP immunity alt for mammoth, and 125 speed boost on one account while the other account got the wonderbird paint and 7k crystals.

EMP immunity could be really helpful! I never use mammoth however. Titan is my preferred Heavy hull.

Why are there so many completely useless skins (except for people falling prey to the deadly sin of vanity, of course)?

It reduces the chance of getting something more useful from the containers drastically.

I opened 2000 ultra containers on the test server for science. Here are the results.

The approximate chances of receiving an item of each rarity are as follows.

  • Common: 1 in 1.3
  • Uncommon: 1 in 8
  • Rare: 1 in 21
  • Epic: 1 in 23
  • Legendary: 1 in 63
  • Exotic: 1 in 182

You can also do this experiment with normal containers; it would be interesting to see a graph of it with average results - then you'll need to repeat this experiment often so that you get valid outcomes. As less items can be obtained from regular containers, I expect the outcoming percentages to be significantly lower (if the number of obtainable items influences this of course)

Sometimes you get given containers in the special missions tab on the test server

I've used TKs to buy paints in the test server, but I've never been able to use them for anything else

Oh, @Mirza7 probably meant they didn't know how to activate the shop. It's unavailable unless you click on the gold box button in the garage 3 times.

to buy augments and paints, but it was from the garage. Thing is if he managed to do it with item only in the shop, then he managed to access it somehow. Each test is different and will have different setting of what you can do or not do, sometime Tanki needs to test the shop feature too.

Are draws completely random or is there anything in place to stop you getting the same upgrade /paint that you may already have drawn from containers?

You cannot get an item you already have.

For example, if you bought the Australia paint and then opened a container, you wil never get that paint from the container. It will get removed from the list of items obtainable from containers.

Normal container are given for nothing, onky Ultra container are giving an edge. Soon they will implement the Hyper container nad Ultra container will be given for nothing too...

we might have a Super container in between though...

you actually can, i tested this on the test server, the chance is extremely low, but there is a chance of getting an item you already own from the containers.

This only happens if the item was unlocked previously while opening containers.

My guessing is that, if you keep opening containers without leaving, their inventory doesn't update, and the chance of getting a duplicate generates.
