Personally, I hated MM when it came out, but after a few months, I realized that devs are not gonna remove this so I just stuck with it. These days I think Tanki would be boring without MM, its just exciting to know which and what type of battle you are gonna end up in, before it used to take like 5 minutes to find a battle that you actually liked, but most battles used to be full.

 

MM only takes a few seconds if not maybe a minute to find a battle and puts you with normal, fair ranks. (Sometimes not but its better to leave those battles.) I mean think about it, you only wanna be playing with ranks lower than yours? That's boring and selfish, play with higher ranks, because one day you will be a high ranked player and if previously you had no experience playing with high ranks, you're never gonna know whats in store for you.

 

Just a few things that need to be reworked:

  • Rank limits - it should definitely be lowered. A few days ago I was with Generalissmos.
  • You should really fix the timer glitch - Where the "Battle finding" timer can go on forever and not put you in any battle.
  • Isidas - How come there are 3-4 isidas in one team and the other have none? Wherever I see Isida, its always either 3 in one team and none in the other.

It's not that I spend my time observing these mults, save your those type of comments for someone else.

 

One can easily see who is fighting and who is not, who is trying and who is not, and I didn't meant that type of "inactivity", so if you don't understand what I mean go bother someone else.

Don't waste your breath.  That mod ignores whatever you post and changes the narrative to fit his/her outlook.

MM can take many minutes to put you in a battle.  Many attempts.

One issue is - if you need a specific battle-mode for missions - you have no idea what is out there.  You have to wait for MM to eventually put you in a battle - possibly only with 3 minutes left.  Good luck completing that mission.

At least with battle list you could filter by mode - don't see anything useful?  Switch mode and try to do a different mission.

 

Rank Limits - I agree they are too wide.  Forcing players to fight 8 ranks above them does is not compensated by forcing 8 vs 8.  Instead of adding that Colonel (low) and Gismo (high) to a battle to make it 8 vs 8 - just leave it 7 vs 7.

Timer glitch - I agree

Isida - MM can not control that at all - since players can change equipment.  Some teams communicate better than others.

OKAY, last page I praised MM a lot, I completely take it back, today I played like 6 battles in MM, and ALL were completely TRASH. One side is fully drugged up M1 KIDS, YES I am saying M1 is killing my M2... my team is always mults and noobs... I couldn't even kill 1 player before some nub fire + wasp comes in and wrecks the crap out of me. I mean have a look at this:

Thats pretty much how ALL six of my battles went... And what pisses me off even more is that at the end, the winning team says "EZ BOYSSS."

This is EASY? Drugged up M1 kids... 

Edit: Well right after I typed this post I played a few games, and these 3 games were actually balanced, except the last one in which my team was just dominating.

I just finished 5 DM in a row (mission).

How can this imbalance (me against Legends & Issimo's) be explained ?

This has to be the biggest rank bracket I've seen recently.

 

A Sergeant-Major in a battle with a Lieutenant Colonel? Really?

I was Major and was placed with First Sergeant...

I was Lieutenant Colonel and was with Generalissmos...

So more missions where my Colonel account needs top-3 on winners team.

Since there's a 50% chance you automatically fail because your team loses I try DM,

 

First battle I get from Match-Maker is already half over. Not much of a chance finishing top-3.

 

Next battle I'm lowest rank fighting Generals, F. Marchalls and Commanders. Finish fourth.

 

3rd battle I'm once again lowest rank - and this time there's Gismos as well.  Finish 5th.

 

[add a fourth battle where again - am lowest rank - finish ... FOURTH]

 

 

The missions are bad - but the rank brackets are beyond stupid with how wide they are

When you get such daily mission, you can swap it. Most other types of missions like collect supplies, get kills, capture points, earn xp, earn crystals or finish battles are easy.

 

The hardest mission are top 3 and capture flags. It is really hard to capture flags with my M2 Titan Smoky and I will not use M2 Hornet in MM because I would be killed instantly due to low health.

That was after the swap was done.

 

My choice was to give up and accept I'll only complete 2 missions that day or... at least try to complete it.

 

I was using Hunter-Freeze.  Combo is better for preventing flag caps.  But you use what you have - amirite?

Hunter is the most versatile hull in Tanki, it is good in everything including capturing flags, camping, short range fighting, defending, spawn-killing...

 

Hunter is probably the 3rd best hull for capturing flags after Hornet and Viking. Wasp is 4th, it is too unstable and it likes to flip. Dictator is too high, it is an easy target.

I remember that time when they went nuts and widened the rank brackets for PRO and Non-PRO battles. I remember vividly, the benchmark I always used was WO4-Major. They made it so that Majors could play with WO2s. 

 

Now, you got Sergeant-Majors playing with Lieutenant Colonels. That's a big step in both directions.

In this account, I was in DM and.... Captain vs Marshal. What?! I don't have M3 Hornet-Shaft?! How am I compete with that dude?! Dang... imagine M4 Legend vs Captain.... RIP 4 me.

Hornet Shaft is a weak combo. Shaft needs to stay exposed for 3 seconds to deal max damage and Hornet has just too low HP for that. You can easily knock its aim by Thunder or Smoky and Shaft has to waste shot, hide and repeat the cycle.

 

Using this weak combo in DM is totally crazy and illogical. You can not camp in DM and you get killed in 1v1 by most other combos. Hornets with anything except Fire, Freeze or sometimes Rail are easy kills for my M2 2/10 Titan Smoky with Incendiary alt.

Bruh. You mean exposing myself for 4 seconds. Shaft takes 4 seconds to fully charge up it shot.

 

Hornet-Shaft is not necessary weak combo. While its not good at surviving, its good for dealing massive damage. Basically it is a glass cannon. For you it is.

 

Of course camping is bad idea in DM. Sometime I get a good K/D. Other time.... K/D get wasted.

 

Wait.... get Guardian kit in the next rank. Stop micro-upgrading your Titan-Smoky!!!

Just...wow. 

 

I had taken this screenshot to show how badly MM balances the ranks in teams especially in Legend battles with a small number of players between Marshal and Generalissimo. Only when I was looking through some of my screenshots for a particular one concerning Isida, I saw this:

This is the first time I've played in a 9 v 8 MM battle. Even if it was 9 v 8, MM couldn't even balance the teams by putting IBossIPetronikla and VirtusF12 on the other team (assuming they were not in a group together). I have other screenshots of mismatching done by the system (ranks, not number of players in a team).

MM still working perfectly, and not creating unbalanced teams.  At all. <_<

They really don't care.

 

They hope that those getting pounded will upgrade with $$ to compensate for the inherent disadvantage.

 

Wonder how surprised they will be when the new players just quit due to frustration...
