What positive things do you want to see in Tanki Online?

What [positive] things do you want to see in 2019 - 2020 in Tanki Online?

Question: The question is simple. What do you want to see relating to Tanki Online in the years of 2019 - 2020? Please note that this is not a duplicate topic of another as I already searched. What do you want to see? Tell me below, I would love to see players opinions! :)

My Answer: Well, me personally, I want to see some changes in the player base. For the 8 years that I have been in Tanki Online on all of my accounts (which most are decommissioned), I have seen the game at it's best and worst moments. It's kind of like a sine. Anyway, I want to see Tanki get big, and I am sure the developers want to see that as well as well as your players. I want to see great improvements in the game relating to gameplay mechanics, events, improvements in moderation techniques/violators of the game, improvements of the Tech Support, the forum getting a makeover (a new & modern look), the game interface changing, Overdrives in 2019, Tanki switching completely to stable HTML5, the help site getting bigger as it is very useful, a change in in-game profile layouts, more E-sports activities, one of the big ones is in-game clan ideas coming into effect in Tanki Online. The in-game clans need a lot of work, and I am sure players of all likes look forward to that. Clans are very numerous anyways.

Notes: If you have to say something negative, please don't over-do it and be excessive and make sure it doesn't violate the rules. Thanks! This is just to see what players think about the game in its current state. This is a "main" topic. I recommend you leave your general comments here instead of posting a new topic as it will be taken down for sure. Please do not post Ideas and Suggestions here, use the proper I&S topic.

Enjoy! :D

Look really hard in this text, there is something in there that people will most likely not notice.

- Lobby before MM battle starts so we can adjust equipment for the map and all players start at same time

- Tighter rank brackets for MM battles

- Death Track and Skylark added to MM battle-map rotation

- More reasonable weekly "floater" missions

- Early battle termination when teams are unbalanced

Removal of Drones and MM, they both suck

We all know that's obviously not going to happen. Although the drones as a feature, besides being questionable in terms of balance, are at the moment very frustrating to use. I would love to see my idea regarding battery usage get implemented, as well as drones getting an activation key, because it's extremely hard to make sure your drone gets activated at the right time (maybe the difficulty is part of the balance, I'm not sure).

I'm also excited for any brand new features they have in mind, especially new game mechanics, besides overdrives.

And of course I want to see the size of the player base start going up again, but that's pretty obvious.

Drones are a really nice update in my opinion but they are so unbalanced. In my opinion, Tanki should decrease the price of the batteries or plan your idea, I really liked your idea tbh.

Clan liscence for crystals as well Rename pass because these two cards don't give any adventage in the game exepte getting a TAG and give a chance to non-buyers to make their own clan.. :D

I don't see any point in this, clan licences and rename passes do not affect the gameplay and provide extra revenue to the company which is really good for the balance.

They earn a lot of money from this, if they do what you say, probably they would release new P2W updates.

I know it won't happen but I can dream right? Oh well I'd at least like to see MM get fixed (I am constantly getting matched with Marshalls and crap which is ridiculous) and at least make Missions completable in Pro Battles, also would absolutely love to see Monte Carlo put in MM, no changes made to it just Monte added

I would love to see a shift in the behaviour of the average modern Tanki player. I loved looking at the chat back in 2014-15 and seeing players helping out other players with problems. Seeing players engaging in productive discussions without many arguments and without swearing.

These days, all I'm seeing is swearing being tossed back and forth. In most scenarios, the aggressor had no reason to do it other than to gain attention or satisfy what insecurity they may have had. I would like to see quieter and more constructive (not aggressive in any way) discussions about topics and no spamming in the channels.

I would like to see a sharp decline in the use of the word "noob" in the game. It has become really colloquialised and it is often used to express frustration against other players. Often times, for no reason.

I kill someone, I'm a noob.

I cap a flag, I'm a noob.

I score a goal, I'm a noob.

I'm shooting at the defenders of the Blue team in Assualt because I'm on the red team, I'm a noob.

I die by being one-shotted by an enemy Shaft, I'm a noob.

I take a gold box that was in a part of the map that no one checked, I'm a noob.

I didn't get to heal you in time because you kept driving away from me straight into the enemy base and died, I'm a noob.

I don't share my Overdrive with you because I know we would get killed in the next few seconds, I'm a noob.

I block an enemy from escaping with my team's flag with my Titan, I'm a noob.

I say my opinion about current issues in the General Chat, I'm a noob.

I disagree on something a famous tanker says, I'm a noob.

I die while healing a teammate because the teammate fails at protecting me by clocking the shots, I'm a noob.

I exist, I'm a noob.

That has to stop. It makes me feel a certain way. It's getting to the point where it's so pathetic, I often have to inflict self-damage on my body to get over it. (Don't worry about that)

You can't call people a "noob" for doing what you're supposed to in a game.

I like MM and I found that it was necessary. I would like to see tighter rank brackets like said because it makes no sense putting a Warrant Officer 5 in the same battle as a Major General or a Colonel in the same battle as a Legend.

I would like to see the devs be more transparent with their data. Along with this, I would like to see them be honest in their actions. If they nerf or buff something, make it public and not keep it a secret. If something is being complained about, look into it.

I would like to see the Wiki being updated to show up-to-date information about in-game mechanics and guides for low and mid-rankers.

I would like to see alterations that are balanced and in no way, on average, get more EXP than their stock counterpart.

I would like to see fewer cheaters and hackers in the game.

I would like to see Product Kit rank unlocks increased as soon as possible.

I would like to see new and exciting challenges (not the one with the stars, the ones like The GAME) that no demographic would have an advantage in over the other demographics.

I would like to see the devs communicating with the players in the forum more often.

These are some of the things I would like to see. They aren't all but they're enough for now.

Here's why:

In Tanki's "golden years" (2013-15) the playerbase was large and spaced out the toxic XP/BP tryhards. However, when the devs started putting out bad updates, most of the players left. The ones who stayed were the tryhards, who now didn't have anyone to be toxic against but each other.

I have many things that I want in the game, but I'll just say one thing for now and that one thing would be to have m3 equipment be unlocked at LT general.

true. completley agree

As everyone else, I'd like to see tighter rank brackets. However, now that M3s are unlocked 2 or 3 ranks lower, that would no longer solve the problem. We can be faced with M4s way below Legend.

I've learned that when the MM takes more than 1 minute 30 seconds to put a player in a battle, it may be due to the MM trying to find battles in empty servers. If there are empty servers why aren't they being used? It could shorten the wait time.

The Devs need to experience the game first hand much more often than they do. Yes, I know they are busy, but I'm talking more specifically when they do updates...buffs, nerfs, introduce new equipment. What looks good "on paper" isn't necessarily the way it would be played out. For instance, the Vulcan over burn is somehow attached to the Firebird's over burn. In other words, if they reduce the burn of the Vulcan, they also reduce the burn the Firebirds inflict on the enemy. This should have been tested out before Vulcan was implemented. It wasn't until players started complaining about the Vulcan burning up before they could make a kill did the Devs look into the situation.

I'd like to see Tanki advertise to take some of the weight off the players. As far as I know, we are paying the employees, we are paying for the overhead (rent, utilities, etc). The only advertising I've seen is on Miniclip. That isn't enough revenue. Sometimes I wonder if players have quit as a way of boycotting Tanki into taking responsibility for themselves.

Isida needs to be reinstated as the Combat Medic. Yes, it still is, in a way, but so much of Isida's incentive has been taken away. On my Isida alt account, I was able to hit the top 3 occasionally. Now, Isida users have to use alternate turrets to meet some of the missions. Example: Top 3 x 15 is nearly impossible for an Isida. At one time, this was just as reachable as any other turret.

Some of the alterations are nothing but money grabbers. In battle, they are a joke on us.

That's enough for now. My brain is frying from trying to prioritize what's important and what isn't.

So for everybody here, I have looked at everyone's replies and you all want the basic same things, so I ask a question yet again:

Question: Why do you think more requested stuff like this is being delayed? Do players have enough word on updates, or do we need to decide more as we are the players? What do you think?

My Answer: As stated above, the biggest issue is player opinion. I have mentioned this before, players don't have a choice when it comes to developer updates. This is gonna get to a sensitive topic, as I did make a topic like this earlier and got taken down, so if you are going to reply to this question, do it professionally. And no, this is not the Complaint Book.

Notes: Give us your opinion in a professional way. I would love to see the various opinions and replies. What do you think in your opinion as a player of Tanki Online? Also, if you could, what do you think could be done better by Tanki relating to this question?

No kits, no overdrives, no drones, Duplet and afterburn nerf, new hulls, new turrets, new paints, new shot effects, supply cooldown rebalance, hull and turret rebalance.

I stumbled in to this game and I still like it as a casual game despite some frustrating updates, especially the harder missions. Although it's not perfect, I ended up liking MM because it forced to me learn to play on all of the maps and I don't miss looking at the battle list. The change in payouts means that being on the losing team isn't the disaster that it used to be.

But I still think garage supplies are stupid (for game play reasons) and would love a no-garage-supplies MM as a halfway house between the current MM and fully customizable PRO battles. The convenience and variety of MM, but without drugs.

1. Decrease the gap between developers and players.

2. Tanki has to find a way to inspire players who had newly retired or about to retire to get back to the game.
- How?
A- spend time on making good and creative updates as much as they spend time on the shop.
B- Bring back a lot of good things which have been eliminated from the game without even any complaints from the players. Tanki says that this is non-negotiable. I say that's why you lost most of your players.

Question: Why do you think more requested stuff like this is being delayed?

TO isn't really interested in what we think or what we want.

Question: Do players have enough word on updates?

No.  We don't have any say on updates. When did TO ever roll back any updates they were told were BAD?

Question: or do we need to decide more as we are the players?

About the only thing we can decide on is to either play or to give up.  TO doesn't care either way.

Just my 2 cents.

I would like to see the prizes get more realistic in 2019.

And for prices of garage items to become less stupid.

I think @Nicola_M has hit Questions 1, 2, and 3 right on the nail head.

Some player suggestions the Devs have implemented, while other suggestions were modified to the point that a thread of the suggestion is there but implemented differently. There is a Chain of Command....Helpers report to the Mods, Mods report to the CM, CM reports to the Devs. Mods decline some suggestions based on what the CM tells them what the Devs want to hear and what they don't want to be bothered with. The CM makes the ultimate decision as to what is reported to the Devs and what isn't. We can only trust that the CM reports to the Devs accurately without personal bias. EX: Reporting a suggestion in a negative manner because the CM doesn't want a suggestion implemented.

I would love to be a bug on the wall during conferences when suggestions and updates are discussed.
