Because matchmaking is nice to recruits, especially when you can't rank more than once in any game.
Starting with weaker light hulls against effectively alt accounts of players who have known how to upgrade efficiently will not really change the gameplay for them.
We all know the tkfund also helped a lotta new recruit accs during that era to get nice upgrades too, but anyone starting now always has to suffer till the next broken apology.

Please do not forget, that the whole 'slow and boring' becomes 'fast and complicated' as you progress along, imagine going into game and then you realise you have almost no chance without getting some 'usable' augments. Most players quit, not due to the slow and boring gameplay, but the hideous complexity and unfairness new players face, which is a fact, always has been, but is more and more visible as the playerbase continues to fall.

To add, augments unlock at WO1 (or earlier by events such as LoC and tkfunds), with a wider matchmaking gap, you are almost very likely to face a bunch of far higher ranks that have these augments and better upgrades and items.

Just an opinion, but I think matchmaking should be done based on highest gear level.

But the twist is that as soon as you rank up you'll get the weapon already fully upgraded.

1. Revamp gamemodes and add a rotation to them.
- Bring back the deathmatch and juggernaut to the normal MM and remove ASL and reconsider it as an event mode.
- Each gamemode is similar to another gamemode with just a few small differences. (DM=JGR)(TDM=TJR)(CTF=rugby)(CP=seige). And because of this, it's best if they were on rotation on a weekly basis. It'll look like this- DM or JGR, TDM or TJR, CTF or rugby, and CP or seige.

2. Revamp missions and declutter the pool. (goes with number 1)
- Bring back the DM and TJR daily missions and remove the ASL daily missions.
- Combine the similar gamemode missions and make them count on either gamemode. For example, you have a mission to get x amount of points in CTF or rugby, then it should count in either of those two gamemodes. same with the deal damage and earn crystals missions.
- The cap flags and score goals missions should merge to one: cap flags or score goals.
- Remove the winner in top3 mission altogether and add: be in winner team or place in top 3. You in winner team you get 1 point. You place in top 3 you get 1 point. You place in top 3 in winners team, you get 2 points.

3. Add more battle options.
- Map size. (small, medium, large)
- Time limit. ( 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, etc)
- Player limit. (6 players, 8 players, 10 players, 12 players, 14 players, 16 players, etc)
- Rank gap. (1 rank up 1 rank down, 2 up 2 down, 3 up 3 down, etc)

4. Add more maps to the pool. (goes hand in hand with number 3)
- Arena.
- Atra.
- Boombox.
- Camp.
- Canyon.
- Combe.
- Courage.
- Deathtrack.
- Duality.
- Espalande.
- Factory.
- Farm.
- Fort Knox.
- Gravity.
- Gubakha.
- Hill.
- Island.
- Kolhoz.
- Magadan.
- Novel.
- Opposition.
- Pass.
- Rift.
- Short Bridge.
- Station.
- Subway.
- Valley.
- Wave.
- Zone.

I think it is possible to change the maps for matchmaking battles regularly, such as one year or half a year. Many maps cannot be played in matchmaking. If you go to a custom room and can't find enough players.

The problem is that it takes a lot of effort to update a map to make it playable in Matchmaking. Besides, these days devs are putting a lot more focus on creating "Remastered" versions of existing maps, rather than adding new ones from the PRO battle pool. That being said, I totally agree that there are some great maps in PRO battles that deserve to be added to MM.

I think except moving, shooting and killing enemy tanks should reset afk timer, because i got kicked many times for camping with my shaft even though i was active and killings tanks, reason is i didnt move from my place and bcs of that afk timer kicked me and not only once. 
or at least add warning message when 10 seconds is left so i can move my tank.

just click W A S D when aiming 
wont affect ur scope or shots

In my honest opinion it should stay that way. There's enough camping in the game right now and with Shaft specifically, it should set a precedent as petty as it may seem. It's one thing to get kicked for being in sniping mode for two minutes. It's another to be getting kills with the sniping mode and not moving your tank at all after that. ?

I'm gonna be honest here, a lot of tankionline maps suck. My idea is to allow the player to block a couple of maps in the queue. Maybe they can never do good on that map, they don't have fun on it, or some other reason. Exactly like the map blocker in World of Tanks, you can disable 1 map (F2P), 2 (PREM). It will generally allow players to avoid a select map or two that they just really don't want to play.

Agreed, but if this case ever be implemented, it would be so that you can disable a max of 1 or 2 maps in the whole pool, or the waiting queue will drastically increase.

Thats what I said. 1 for non premium players, 2 for premium.

Oh no no, if such mechanism is influnced by monetary system like premium, soon you will see packs for money in shops saying bundle of 10 map blocks per month. We dont want every aspect of game to be monetized.

I'd introduce that you can block as many as you want - but expect that from 20 second waiting time will become 200 seconds

I wonder what will the devs do when they see many of the players blocking one certain map? Will they eventually remove that map or will it just start to be a waste of space in the pool?

Most likely no, first and foremost this change being implemented will take some for the least, secondly, tanki has excluded too many vintage maps from the Matchmaking pool, and now they only exist in the game because of Pro battles, or some special modes, so the game removing any of its current maps is highly unlikely.

great idea but the devs are only willing to put a limited amount of work and effort into this dying game and it has to be profitable.

Also it takes excessive amounts of time after they announce their plans.

When was the last time an HD skin was released? Does anyone realized hornet HD was released back in 2020? They take way too long and their end product wasn't worth the wait

This game is so tarnished. it desperately needs polish, like your idea.
