It is and always will be. Gauss users always expect no resistance modules, so when you don't get oneshotted by the beam, they're soiling their pants.

They need to understand that Gauss is not Shaft. In order to maintain the balance, it will have less damage in order to keep the stealth sniping mode.

And they need to fix the inactivity time kick. I found a good sniping spot and remained invisible as long as I didn't move. My turret kept scanning in sniper mode and I was racking up kills. Then I was kicked for inactivity. Either make the timer turn off on turret rotation, include sniper mode as being active or give us at least a 10-second warning before we get kicked for inactivity.

Ugh, another one of these.

The last turrets added to the game that were good were Hammer and Vulcan.

Now they're just introducing powercreep into the game with these amalgamated horrors of turrets.

They can't come up with anything new, so they take the aspects that make older turrets special and give several of them to a single turret that makes other turrets completely obsolete.

Shaft is not obsolete.  I see more Shafts than I do Gauss.  They have different roles - fill different niches...

What turrets are Magnum like or Striker? Splash damage isn't an exclusive feature. Gauss is just RailThundShaftgun, the only hybrid so far. The two aforementioned have unique mechanics that differentiate them from the others.

What do you have in mind for a new turret, huh?

I really like the Gauss turret. I will buy Gauss on Tankers Day 2019 at 50% off. Also, I will buy the Owl Gauss protection module to keep me protected from Gauss enemies who keeps on zapping me dead.

Gauss, the so called "dogs ears" is coming to hunt you down like a hunting dog!

According to my experience, Gauss is more effective in CP than in CTF. Is there any other modes it's very effective in.?

TDM in large maps. Especially when you have Hornet overdrive and the enemy is congregating to the watering hole (Titan's dome).

That's nice  :D But I thought to use Viking with Gauss as its aiming takes some time & I might be exposed to enemy fire during that period. I use Hornet with Railgun

ASL on the red team. In those maps where the blue team has to stay in their base to fend off attacks, Gauss can obliterate them.
