while beeing aimed, aiming line should be showen and also firerate should be lower than smokys firerate. Not by couple of 0.01 percent, but atleast by 5% to 10% slower firerate. Gun with bigger damage shouldnt shoot almost fast as gun with lower damage.

I like how both teams can utilise this spot to camp against the opposing team. Camping there with Gauss on the red team sure has its perks.

And thank you strangers for dropping many golds to rocket me from last to first place.

The OP nature of not knowing what's going on before it happens strikes again.

imo that spot is more suited for shaft, you can make much more precise kills from there.

I always pay focus on that area and if I see some enemy there, I silently snipe them out with my Gauss

Shaft is easier to spot because of it's laser. Smoky is perfect for that spot since you never know where he exactly is until the victim receive 2 or 3 shots.

I often dont know where it is untill I have 0hp.

And some of us are usually preoccupied to even see a shaft shot coming, let alone a Gauss shot or a railgun shot.

I dont find Guass to be that annoying to play against, if you keep moving constantly it wont have time to lock on. And if you're going into an open area have a quick look around for a camping Guass before coming out of cover, not too hard to avoid if you actively think about it.

That said I am biased since its my favourite turret ATM.

Here's an in depth review of Gauss:

It's unoriginal and broken.

I need to face the fact that Hammer and Vulcan are the last good turrets that this game is going to get.

"broken" in what way?

Gauss is a mix of shaft and thunder. Second mode is powerful and outclass thunder. With no laser you can not locate it before your are dead.

Its splash damage in second mode is crazy and the reload is far too fast.

The prodigy son that is.

Fixed that for you. It's nothing like Shaft - you can move, it's not generally a one-shot... the only similarity to Shaft is the instant shot (it even has different lock-on mechanics).

*Edit: oh no, here comes a claim I'm stalking you... I didn't even notice it was you.

Shaft was the first turret with as a secondary shooting mode. Shaft secondary mode is more powerful than the arcade mode. Striker was also inspired by shaft, consequently it also leads to Shaft. From striker turret Gauss uniquely got the locking mechanism.

So you could say, a mix of shaft, striker and thunder.

Enemy team, both players on top were Gausses:

Our team had 3 Gausses (including me) here. The guy in second place was a Gauss. Can't remember who the third one was.

Edit: Nevermind, found him.
