First of all, missing with Rail is really rare, and it isn't easy moving and keeping an eye on the target. Not really sure what Gausses' role is. Second of all, I was saying the normal shots do the same, if the supershots did critical damage, the turret would be op.

Its role is fairly straightforward. You can use it as a heavy support sniper like shaft or you can use its arcade rof to play it as a medium ranged low power thunder. Just don't try to brawl with it since there are numerous other turrets that can overtake it in that situation.  Keep in mind your reload is noticeably long after you fire a sniper shot unless you are using either of the legendary tier augments but yields massive damage on impact.

So this is why you keep saying that gauss is weak. Its clear to everyone that its role is to be a long range sniper. Rail gun is more suited to be a short to mid range assassin.

I never said it was weak. Just that it isn't OP.

Just finished a TJR barda battle on a WO4 account using gauss and dictator on mobile, got 42 kills and only 5 deaths and scored almost 900 points, I mainly used the sniper function.

Even the enemy jugs didn't stand a chance against me.

Thats pretty good... maybe its just a different playstyle. I use a mobile sniper playstyle.

Trust me, gauss isn't a mobile sniper turret. Its a 'sit at home' sniper.

@Slayer244 Important question: Do you have an account that is close to the Legend rank? Or is the account you're posting on your highest rank?

No :). I quited for 2 years when I was in lower tiers, and what is considered Legend rank?

Legend is a rank.

The gameplay where you are is slow, and many mechanics aren't unlocked. Your opinion will change when you get to endgame.

Ah... played a couple rounds with a camping Gauss technique, got this 13:1, even though I joined in the last 2 minutes, mode was TDM, map was Serpuhov. Gauss needs a splash radius nerf, because in some maps where people just cluster up it makes it really easy to get multi kills.

And this is where armies of Owls came from if ya face high ranks....

Now you see what I mean.

That'd be nice but I'd wager for an indicator for whenever its locking on to you.

If you have seen gauss before the major splash nerf you would truly understand that the current version of gauss does not need a splash nerf.  To be honest, gauss is quite powerful in lower to mid ranks since the owl module isn't used as much but when you reach higher ranks like marshal, you will begin to see that a lot more people are using this module (hence why @FrozenRailgunsaid an army of owls). Therefore a nerf to gauss would not be necessary. As for the clustering, I would assume you are talking about the assault game mode where defending players would be "clustered up against each other". Though it may be true in a few maps like barda and red alert, many other maps allow defending players a more dynamic gameplay which doesn't force them to stay near the defending point at all times (like berlin). Basically my point is that not all maps or gamemodes force players in grouping together in clusters.

There was no nerf to Gauss' splash damage. What are you talking about?

I dont think gauss was touched since release, maybe you mean gauss emp alteration?

The only nerfs it received were for the arcade shot, leaving the OP sniping shot untouched until earlier this year, where they reduced the grace period for locking on.

Yes, but having a bunch of owls doesn't mean its weak(or not OP), though it decreases it's success.

An indicator would be nice, but shouldn't be too visible. Maybe a faint tracer on your tank?

If its something on your tank, then that's good enough.
