And before the English Wiki gets overwritten with the changes, I calculated Gauss' average sniping damage before the change and after the change.

Gauss still has the same average damage as it did before but since the damage range is wider, you can either be lucky or unlucky. It was more like a Shell Stabilisation Railgun but now it's like a Stock Railgun.

I feel like that should have been an alteration. Keep the tight damage range and then put an alteration that increases the maximum sniping damage and lowers the minimum sniping damage but keeping the average damage the same, just like they did here with the change. Ah well, maybe they can do it the other way around as an alteration.

Gauss is super annoying when it comes to the gold box. There was one on highway. I was about to get the box. But I hear that coilgun noise and the next second I’m literally thrown off the road/bridge. Impact force of the gauss is crazy when some one else gets hit next to you!

So why do you leave your sound on if you don't want the noise to startle you?

That's why I keep sounds off-and never get startled from gauss.

After this update, I'm able to actually kill enemies when they're close to the target that I snipe. Although that damage seems to extend rather far.

I entered a Sandal RGB and saw this from two successive sniper shots:

 Jeez.png

It's definitely more powerful now and that splash damage fix should prompt users to equip Owl protection. Think of it like shooting a Magnum shot in someone's face.

I don't see Gauss Product Kits on the Russian WIki so I'm going to predict the hull combos using its price and unlock ranks:

M1    Gauss + Hornet

         Gauss + Viking

         Gauss + Dictator

M2    Gauss + Dictator

         Gauss + Hornet

Gauss + Hunter (this one might be a stretch)

M3    Gauss + Viking

         Gauss + Titan

         Gauss + Hunter

I underestimated the number of kits that would have been available. Especially at M3. There is a kit for Gauss with every M3 hull.

And I wonder why they gave this particular kit this title:

Because it dies fast when shot?

Where are the Gauss kits? Not on the wiki...

It strikes me that Gauss is balanced when not faced with Owl modules... so they should buff it a bit. I haven't played it since the update, so I'll see.

Gauss' Striker tool is not as strong as Striker and gives less damage.

Is this combo just the beginning of a whole bunch of combos? (Striker+Thunder=Gauss)

"Striker tool"?  You mean the sniper lock-on feature?

Gauss does not do as much damage as striker salvo because it has no laser.  can't do that much damage without implementing some kind of vulnerability.

Actually, I never mentioned the gauss noise startled me. ;)

BUT i get startled when sometimes I’m playing in a quiet room, in a quiet map, and thunder from across the map hits me. Dang that sound makes me convulse.

In the Shop.

Here are pictures of each Gauss kit available in the shop:

M1:

 Sting-Kit.png Ragnar-Kit.png

Jester-Kit.png A-quick-death-kit.pngMusketeer-Kit.png

M2:

Dove-Kit.png Pirate-Kit.png

Lord-Kit.pngDancer-kit.png

M3:

 Invasion-Kit.pngQuark-Kit.png

Oz-Kit.pngFrederick-Kit.pngComet-Kit.png

Annihilation-Kit.pngMatroyshka-Kit.png

They're all so expensive. It makes sense for the M3 version since it's the 2nd most expensive M3 turret but Freeze is more expensive (only by 200 crystals) yet its two kits with Wasp and Viking are 22% less expensive than Gauss' kits with Wasp and Viking, Both of those Gauss kits include expensive paints, but the Boreas Kit costs 701,500 crystals in total of items while the Annihilation Kit costs 1,132,300 crystals in items but only costs $7 more than the Boreas Kit.

How do they even price these kits? On individual equipment? On which is more powerful and which is not? All of Gauss' kits are on the expensive end of the M3 kits probably because it's new and the protection module is valuable but...I'm confused.

Yup, a buff as I expected, but may I ask, is it impossible to have something balanced nowadays?

It was really weak when it was first released, but now it's on a whole new level of annoyance.

Flawless Gauss battle:

Flawless-Gauss.png

Even the Voltage Kit on the enemy team didn't use supplies. I almost died to an M0 Isida Viking combo who knew that I was hiding behind the buildings and tried to assassinate me 4 times.

My first potential flawless Gauss game (before the buff) was thwarted by a Wasp that dropped its bomb when I was dropping off of a bridge:

Only 6 of those kills were sniper shot kills.

It won't seem as powerful over time as more and more protection modules get circulated.

The turret (and module) was released after the sale - so - it's only natural for early adopters to fork out full price for the turret and have an advantage over the defenders who will likely wait for a sale before dropping a wack of crystals on the module.

Well i did get it on the release and played with it pretty much like shaft with no scope.

Before the rework it was pretty weak with nearly no splash damage

After the rework i got my PSC and decided to support the TO creators - Decided to get the Sting kit since i planned to get Gunslinger as well (Relatively cheap in Poland)

My Opinion on M0- Relatively good, Had it before rework. It performed well

My opinion on M1- Obtained too early for real currency, Destroys some hulls in 1 normal shot and 1 charged shot/

M2:N/A

M3:N/A

General opinion on the turret - Pretty good for people who like shaft thunder and striker in one But honestly its

VERY [REDACTED] Annoying. Could be better if the Charged shot was like electricity effect - Going from tank to tank with lower damage each. I got 5 kills with a single blast with m1. Pretty much deleted the defence for team enemy team

Model Opinions- M0 looks pretty Normal for m0 M1- A bit too fancy, Looks stronger than its M2 variant

M3- Looks Amazing.

Thanks for reading my opinion

And would i recommend it? Before the rework - No After- Buy the cheapest kit with it right away. Screw the balance

XT- How can you review something that doesnt exist?

Sadly thats the nature of modern games - make op stuff expensive (World of Tanks and Crossout im looking at you boys)

Gauss Alteration: Electromagnetic Pulsing Shells

Pros:

  • The sniping shot stuns all enemies in its radius for 0.75 seconds.
  • Upon the removal of the stunning effect - all enemies shot are forced to reload their turrets (Twins will be unaffected by this)

Cons:

  • Reload after firing the sniping shot is increased 100%.

In the old days (5 years ago or so) we had a fantastic Snipergun, called shaft, without a laser. But... it was unfair for other players that they didn't know where the shot game from. So... they introduced the laser... And now we have a "new" Snipergun promoted without a laser.... WHAT?   <_<
