Well it's not like quad-kills happen every time you shoot - or even every battle.

Some of those killed during the "quad" were likely already damaged.

Yup, they were already damaged, but Shaft can only take out one of those damaged enemies, and you'd never know which of them are the most deadly (the one with the most survivability - highest HP).

And no, quad kills don't happen every time I shoot or even every battle but I believe that maximum splash damage radius is too large.

Well, do you need to know who's most damaged? This is my formula for who to shoot: while I'm scoping in, survey possible kills. Kill order:

1. JGR (if you're in JGR and the JGR is taking high damage after using his OD)

2. Striker, if they're above

3. Viking

4. Freeze

5. Thunder

6. Railgun

7. Smoky

8. Firebird

9. Gauss

And if all else fails, target any Magnum with it's barrel sticking out. :)

You do realize by doing that you're exposing yourself, right? I'm not telling you how to play, but I typically find a target and then begin scoping in on them. Leaves you more situationally aware and less noticeable than staying scoped for minutes at a time.

My bad. Yes, I only find a target and then start scoping. If, however, I see a group of tanks and scope, that's the order of who I will kill. Shaft/Hunter is like not great for camping, and Shaft/Hornet is downright terrible. So no, especially when I'm playing with Shaft/Hornet I never camp. Sometimes, playing Shaft/Hunter, I find myself in a place over looking a busy traffic lane of opposing attackers/defenders and I'll just sit there and start picking them off, giving my team a chance to attack or defend, but that's rare. I'm usually moving around the map, scoping at targets and beating Railguns and Thunders in 1 v 1 duels using arcade shots :P

I unintentionally set up an octuple kill.

Multi-kill.png

AlexAm was dropping golds and I had decided to have some fun and zap multiple enemies before the gold box touches them and then kill them all. As I had zapped (what I saw as) 6 tanks, one second later, terter2018 shot a sniping shot and got that many kills. I just chuckled hard at that. His Overdrive charge meter must've shot up from 20% to 100% immediately.

He then went on to win by a margin of 14:

Am I the only one here who has an Owl M3+ module? Everywhere I go, there are no Owls whatsoever.

Costs a lot and they came out after the sale.  Unless you have Gauss or have a crap-load of crystals burning a hole in your account most ppl have not had time to save up for it - especially anyone qualifying for m3.

My Brigadier account bought one because 1) It has Gauss and 2) it was m2 - so on a 30% sale was affordable.  Will take a loooong time for this account to save up for another m3 module.

I was lucky enough to have crystals at the birthday celebrations. I already knew this turret was going to be OP, so I decided to get the M3 module. Boy oh boy was that the right choice.

But... you paid full-price for the module right?  Gauss came out after the birthday sale.

I also bought Gauss on my brigadier account (full price  ) - then bought the module at the next sale (I think 30% off)

But this account had been spending on MUs for my m3+ equipment - no chance to buy a new m3 module.  Will take time to save up.

There'll be times that it'll be worth to get something as soon as you can, even if it's full price.

It might have been worth it to him.

I bought gauss n owl at full price. Only playing with gauss since bought it. Made it 18/20 so far. I've never spent money here.

Did you just happen to have tons of crystals leftover to buy them?

It is and always will be. Gauss users always expect no resistance modules, so when you don't get oneshotted by the beam, they're soiling their pants.

Depends on your rank.  At Legend - lots of players already have a (mostly) full garage so shilling out for new stuff sans sale is like a luxury.

To fully upgrade a module without 50% sales (and using speedups) means a loss of crystals for other purchases.

Many players at lower ranks simply can't do that - they will suffer in some area if they empty bank account on a new toy.

Your profile shows 6 m3 turrets and 3 m3 hulls plus a bunch of m2s.  So you must have invested real $$ somewhere.  No F2P player has a chance at going your Gauss route.
