If you have a fully upgraded tank - that would be an m4 correct?  In new system m3 will be converted to mk7.

I understand  this .. but what about the guys whos just get a M3 or even close to it. thinking that wow i'm finally done , but now have to work all over again to ranking up to a M7 level. this just is wrong. nothing but wanting more $$ for there pockets . I can see more players walking away from this game and give it time it will be closing just like Tanki X did. doing wrong updates hinders game play..

Thats not sure..... They said "you won't become weaker...  I hope this means that if you have m4 you will get a fully micro upgraded mk7

I am kind of for this and not for this... I'm for this because, like @Marcus said, it will fill up the large gaps between middle and pro players, and I won't have to worry about all that bother of being in a match with a guy with Mk 3's, at least for now. What I don't like about it (which I believe has been stated above) is that it does mean more money, which I just had a whole thing on in the complaint book. I think it would be better if you could buy the Mk 7 model of a turret you didn't have the Mk 7 model of if you were like a legend or something, like how it is now - like now you can just straight up buy the Mk 3 version of Gauss if you are a legend and don't have it. But, we'll see how it goes, it hasn't started yet...

They're talking about the second paragraph in the "WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR CURRENT EQUIPMENT?" Section.

 

And yes, thats gonna suck for anyone that don't have the previous modification level. For example if someone wants to buy an m3 Gauss but don't have the m2 version, they would have to buy the m2 then m3, which is obviously gonna cost more.

We don't know how long it will take to MU the lower MK versions - as you work your way up.  Yes it will be longer than just instantly buying todays m3.

But at same time... you can now upgrade any equipment that you were currently too high of a level to MU.  If you had m1.9 items but had unlocked m3 you could not MU those m1.9 items.  Now you can.

 

As an aside... they say m3 = mk7   So I guess m3+ (m4) = mk7+ (m8)?

It may cost more to buy equivalent of m3 item once you have unlocked equivalent mk level - we don't know for sure what the costs will be.

I don't understand your first sentence though... lower ranks will not have a harder time getting to m3 (mk7).  Will take over-all about the same time if you keep upgrading an item all the way.  Only issue is if you decide to buy a new turret/hull once you reach higher rank - then you need to start from scratch.

I agree, that makes the update even worse.  Just imagine Legends running around with Hornet and Striker Mk1s... running around for half a second.

I think what should happen is a price change that allows discounts for equipment of lower modifications that you own when you are buying an appropriate equipment for your rank.  In other words the opposite of what's about to happen. 
What they are saying makes no sense, that I think it could actually be an announcement with errors.

Your fully upgraded M3s will become fully upgraded Mk7s.

With costs I think it's also bad. I mean, from what has been said, you will still have to grind to get good gear, regardless of your rank. Even worse, you now have to buy every previous model of a turret or hull to receive a better version... That would require double grinding, at least. As for the PRO battles, I almost wanted to just quit. I mean, MM battles are already dull, due to the matchmaking system in general, but also because of maps. I mean, every time you play MM, it's always that same map, that you played on just an hour ago. That just makes it pointless. With battles comes low timing - which effects the game in so many different ways, almost all bad. For grinding, you'll have to join and re-join and re-join battles every 5 minutes or so, and that just gets annoying. Another bad thing is missions... You'll be in the middle of one and then the battle ends, before you even know it. As for gold boxes, the shorter the battle, the less they drop, because of how the drop ratio is. Also, you will quite literally have to continue drugging to stay on top... It's very hard to get kills against buyers, and if you only have 5 minutes per battle to do so you might as well just buy yourself. So many small problems that seem fine alone make up one huge mistake... And it's turned Tanki Online into a sorry ruined state. It all just leads to money, if you think about it. That's all the Devs seem to care about now... Not making a good game, not making players happy, just money, money and money. It's so sad. This was once a great game. I wish it could be so again.

• 1 - Visually, how are you separating the new modifications? Will each level have a different design, or are you just going to use the existing ones and split the first 6 between M0, M1 and M2 and then have MK7 as M3?
• 2 - You say there will be no price hike. However, this doesn't clarify anything. What if say, I have M0 Magnum at Legend. I could just buy M3 Magnum for however much the M3 version costs. Does this new system where I have to buy each individual modification in order mean that I will basically have to pay for M1, M2 and M3 costs, rather than just the M3 cost by itself?

As for question one, I don't exactly know... @Marcus said you would have to watch the VLog to find out. As for question 2, yes, you would have to buy all the previous models before getting the Mk 7 model.

I saw everyone becoming mad in the game's chat, saying "omg no pro battles only for mk7." So I was checking this topic and I saw nothing. I asked them why there was nothing and they were all saying "just read the topic, it's in the topic". But no, it's not in the topic. There is no player advantage in this what so ever...ZERO.  So if there is no player advantage, the only reason for the change is company advantage.  That means Tanki has implemented yet another update to make them more money. 

 

Tanki loves the churn.  Keep everything changing all the time...no improvement, just change change change which equals ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching.  Squeeze every penny they can out of what ever buyers are left.

 

I don't know how this update will impact players, but I'd bet big (real) money, that it won't do the vast majority of the player base any good and will be horribly unpopular.
