update Modifications - UPDATED 14:00 UTC on 17/01/2020

Hello guys!

I have a question about how my equipment was converted. I had an M1 hunter 10/10 which became Mk5, seems ok. I also had an M1 thunder 10/10 which became and Mk4, shouldn't it be Mk5 just like my hunter? Please any help is appreciated.

The modification changes are a bit weird.

For example my old level and new level:

Firebird M1-10 > Mk5-5

Ricochet M2-3 > Mk5-5

Gauss M2-5 > Mk5-5

Freeze M2-? > Mk4-2

Twins M1-? > Mk4-7

 

There's not really a logic change and these are just examples

there is a logic, i don't agree with the logic. but there is one. afew posts back a sheet was posted with all the changes.

Look at the stats of your turrets and hulls. Notice that they have the same statistics as before. The parameters were converted to the new system and it is somewhat similar to before. Each turret and hull have different unlock ranks and prices. Because of this, the parameter statistics need to be tailored to those unlock ranks and prices. A good example of this is Freeze's conversion.

Refer to the spreadsheet Trial and Error told you about.

either way. i am quitting. i don't want to face a single mk7 again in my life and they keep poping up in everybattle, since that won't be possible, i'll save myself some curses and stress and just throw this account into the neareast pit where it belongs along with this game update that screwed all my progress plans, it will only get worse as the lucky s***ts MU their mk7 more and more while i am stuck at mk4-5s for 200k more xp.

Another problem, now people that had the fully upgraded m2 before have m7s, so there will be m7s in lower ranked battles which is STILL a massive disadvantage to other tankers. Let's say that I had m2 before and now I have mk5, and someone who had m2 fully upgraded and is in the same rank as me, now has mk7, so how does this change anything/close down the gaps?

The problem is that this update was supposed to close the gaps but everything is still the same, but instead it has screwed some people over like myself because we had the old m2s and now are stuck with mk4s for no reason whatsoever even when the origian post and the vlog shows says that it should be mk5-mk6, see what I'm trying to say? makes no sense at all

I believe I can now upgrade my mk7.0 (m2.10) which is two ranks earlier (for me - others benefit is even >>) than I would have under previous system...

Yes, but you still need a lot of crystals to do the upgrades, and waiting as well. And if you want to skip, that's even more crystals. 

 

The update rolled out just earlier today, so it doesn't make sense to complain about seeing Mk7s since they were M2 10/10 before the update and no one said anything bad before the conversion.

The highlighted modification is one that you previously owned. So for example, the third screenshot shows that you bought Viking Mk7 without purchasing any previous modifications.

That makes no sense. For these 3 hulls, I always bought M0 M1 M2 and M3. So it should be the same for the 3 hulls.

Hate to say it ,, but all they will do is so called change a few things to make us happy. which its the same system just twigged to keep the way they want the game to go..

First one is practically free and takes... 10 min?

I have 100K+ crystals sitting around.  Will do another MU, then do the rest on sales.  I have a feeling we'll be seeing some sales soon.

 

You can't compare m2.10 to mk7.0.  Sure - at the moment they are the same.  It's a huge difference though to be able to MU that mk7.  I had 2 more ranks before I could do that.  That's a fair amount of time I saved.

 

I'm not complaining - I'm benefiting.  But for others who were just short...

Folks, lets be patient.

So far, yes, this update seems pretty horrible and yes from what Ive seen so far does seem literally to only cause more problems and not fix anything. Yes we will see m4s at wo5 I think. 

However, do realize that after every update, ppl freak out and yes there are growing pains. Id suggest we all determine to give some time to see if this mess can be fixed.

We know the devs have worked hard on this, so lets suspend our frustration for a time, and see how it turns out.

Were tempted to freak out bc we love this game and dont want it to be messed up. Give the devs the benefit of us not fully understanding things and lets see where it goes.

Im guessing this gets ignored, but for any older players, how you respond is a tone setter for the others.

Yes, at the moment they are the same. That's what I mean by the update just coming out - the short run. It will become a problem later on, but not tomorrow or the 19th. Saying that, I do believe that it should have been Mk6 10/10. That's what I expected and I believe you shouldn't have the ability to micro upgrade it to Mk8 before reaching Marshal or buying an Mk7 kit for Tankoins. This is speaking from perspective of if I accepted the update as it is and everything that happened is intentional.

You can get 25% protection against the turret for 115k crystals. yeah, it costs more that before, but you're a Legend and you can use that 25% protection to do something rather than having 0% protection and no crystals to purchase the M3 modules. After the conversion, I think ti would be more profitable to purchase the M3 module straight, which you can no longer do. Still, it has an upside to it.

That was my point too - they should have converted to mk6.9

 

My Legend account has all the modules at m7+ (except for spider).

My Lt. General account has all the modules at mk6 (except for striker & spider).  Ths barely affects me at all.

It would barely affect you if you're past the rank that Mk6s unlock for the later turrets and your main combos are already upgraded.

Pls DO NOT change the game the way there'll be only one skin. The game wont be so interesting to play any more. Why not make 3 new skins for new Mk's PLEASE DON'T turn it into one skin

I was referring specifically to modules... where eventually you want ALL of them.  Having to buy a module from scratch NOW is going to be brutal.  It's not even worth equipping when you are playing other Legends... waste of a slot.  It will sit in your garage until you do hit the 25%-30% mark.

 

Its not like say... turrets... I don't plan on buying ALL of them on each account.
