With tomorrow’s (January 17th) server restart, a very huge and important update will be released.

Equipment modification levels will increase from 4 to 7.

 

Here are some important points to keep in mind:

 

  • The current system is M0, M1, M2, M3. However, the new system will be Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, Mk5, Mk6, Mk7

  • The current M0 is equivalent to the new Mk1

  • The current M3 is equivalent to the new Mk7

  • As you can see from the point above, the additional modification levels will NOT be higher than the current M3. Instead, they will be distributed in the middle.

  • And in case you missed it, the “M’ prefix is being replaced by the “Mk” prefix ?

 

Why are we getting more modification levels?

 

For anyone who plays in the mid ranks, it's no secret that there's a significant difference in the ranks at which certain turret modifications are unlocked. This creates problems both with access to certain turrets, and with the advantage of upgrading some turrets/hulls over others.

 

These problems cannot be solved just by changing the rank at which a modification is unlocked. So our solution is to add 3 modifications to fill the gaps between the existing four. 

 

Additionally, we know that many of you like to buy product kits, not just because they’re great value for money, but also as a “ready-made tank” for battle. The same problem shows up here. Having just 3 modification levels limits the choices of kits available at every rank. And once you reach the end-game, there are even fewer kits available for Pro players.

 

Increasing the number of modifications makes it possible to offer a wider selection of kits for every rank.

 

What will happen to your current equipment?


All your turrets, hulls and modules will be converted to the new system. The modification you get depends on the current upgrade level of the item. The important point here, is that your gear will definitely NOT become weaker.

 

In order to buy the highest modification, you will need to buy all previous modifications. For example, if you are a Legend with a Railgun Mk1, and you want to buy the Mk7, you will need to buy all the modifications between Mk1 and Mk7.

 

On the flip side, you’ll be able to upgrade in a more gradual manner. So, instead of suffering through battles with an underpowered tank just to hoard enough money for the BEST modification, you’ll be able to upgrade constantly and stay competitive.

 

So right now you’re thinking, “Uh oh, here comes the price hike!”

 

Wrong. No price hike.

 

What about prices?

 

This update will significantly affect both: at which rank you get access to higher Mks and prices. Modifications will be smoother while prices will stay near same. As for current M3 modifications, where prices will not change so much.

 

Here’s a practical example:

 

Right now, Wasp M3 costs 319 000 crystals. However, after the update, a Mk7 Wasp (equivalent to the current M3) will cost just 290 450 crystals. 

 

There will be a few exceptions though. For example, Thunder M3 currently costs 363 650 crystals, but after the update, the equivalent Mk7 will cost 372 150 crystals.

 

All information related to prices will be available tomorrow in the game. Details on the wiki will be updated over the next few days.

 

Product kits

 

As discussed earlier, this update also affects Product Kits.These will be reworked for the new Mks system, and will be migrated from the Garage to the Showcase. You will still be able to buy kits for crystals, but they will also be available for tankoins.

 

Here are two very important advantages you should keep in mind:

 

  1. Product kits available for crystals and those which will be available for tankoins with discounts will be updated more often — each 12 hours.

  2. The range of available product kits will become wider and more interesting.

i think it will be better to give the crystals for the automatic upgrades(dont think about ruining the economy of the game becoz u already have )) and please make a detailed video explaining this update asap

i had my plans all figured out until first lieutenant and basically i just lose ANY will to play this game. kits are total garbage rn, little buyers will still have mk7s in LT ranks and basically that means former m4s agains mid formers m2s. so idk what kind of balance you wanted, but congratz, you missed by a long shot.

WORST UPDATE EVER, I BOUGHT 3 CLANS MADE THEM XP/BP CLANS AS I AM A XP/BP PLAYER TOO...I AM MK6 NOW MY MEMS ARE LIKE MK7 MK5 MK4..THEY CANT EVEN PLAY NOW .__.DAMN WORST UPDATE EVER IN GAMING HISTORY

Going to take me a while to process this all, but all of my Smokies (four accounts, from 3rd LT to Captain) were at M1/10 and they are all M6 now and can MU to M7 for only 150K crystals. My 30% modules are M6 too.

 

M7 Smoky at 3rd LT if I want it, what the ...

 

And this isn't a buyer thing, anyone could have got an M1/10 Smoky before the end of the WO ranks if they didn't waste crystals

This is the worst update ever i had too much things m2 and it got m1 in my RTL account this game is dead no one will like it any more, I have worked hard for nothing now

Iam done with this game i will not play it back

everyone did men. ik what you mean, this is just stupid and shows just how much smoky is totally disregarded. they talk about balance and whatnot but one of the originals is so disregarded that is just sad, they introduce so much to the game that is so overpowered that is just sad looking at smoky.

I put my Shaft to upgrade yesterday from lvl 6 to lvl 7, after upgrading games, the Shaft is still lvl 6, the upgrade is not in progress stoped, my crystals I gave yesterday for the upgrade were not returned, they were gone, 35000 crystals a upgrade time is 7 days 11 hours.

lol, this is so unfair for small ranks, just logged in on my warrant officer 5 and got mk7 freeze on it, on top of that, i can MU it to mk8 which makes it former M4 at WO 5...

you achieved great balance tanki!

Your equipment didn't become any weaker, if you join a battle you will deal the same damage that you had before. It's just fit with the new modifications.

It depends if the strength is the same as before. If it is the case then M1 10/10 is the same as Mk4 8/10. If not, then something wrong happen and you will need to contact helpdesk to get it fix.

The garage in the mobile is more user friendly than the HTML5. It is clearer which MK level your are. It is clearer to see the MU level too. HTML5 need more work.

I don't think my equipment, especially 'Turrets', got properly updated. The following is the observation:

 

Hunter M2 [6/10]    --------is now -----> Mk6 [6/10]    : seems correct. 

Isida    M2 [9/10]    --------is now -----> Mk6 [8/10]    : seems wrong. Should be Mk6 [9/10]

Gauss M2 [6/10]    --------is now -----> Mk6 [0/10]    : seems wrong. Should be Mk6 [6/10]

 

My Gauss is effected a lot. @Marcus  how to get this resolved?  Thanks.

Uhhh, I'm kind of panicing here.  There are no garage kits.  The shop has zillions of kits but all for Tankoins.  Does this mean there are not going to be kits available for crystals in the garage anymore or is it that kits are just not on offer today and will be back in the garage at a later date?

 

Anyone have some insight into this?

Me too. All my stats for turrets and hulls have disappeared. Please ask developers and tech support to fix this issue.
