Free players might not be contributing financially to the game but they do provide a pool of players to play with the buyers and keep the MM pump active. Without F2P players they would be like Tank X (d34d). Having some incentive is good. IMO having one skin for one event for 10k players is not much on insensitive especially knowing that last time it was won by a YouTuber/Buyer who can already get free stuff ot buy them with the money he get from the subscribers.

I solely play MM with Dictator but I think it's a good update. At first it felt good but after sometime it felt unjust to gain so many points for just jumping on the right time and pressing shift. 15 would have been better but 10 it is still not bad.

 

About skins? I don't really care, if I had the option to choose from 250 supply pack and a Skin for free, I would choose 250 supply pack. And I mean it, I have Hammer XT and I've never used it (NOT even in a single battle)

 

Edit: Wait I also have Hunter Prime and Mammoth XT (on other acc) and I've never equipped them either.

Sneaky stealth is kinda pointless in this game now unless you're in a map with a lot of walls. So you might as well play in style, am I right?

Best not to draw attention to yourself as you are about to activate viking OD...

Larger maps, and maps with cover like bushes, etc allow for camouflage to work a little better.  Sometimes that 1 second delay makes a difference.

I sneak around so many people every day. Sometimes I wanna wear something bright like the Orange paint; sometimes I wanna wear something dark like the Black or Green Paint. 

 

I know that if I wear the Orange paint, players would make me out from farther and remember me by my distinct colour. I usually settle for wearing the Metallic Paint. May not be stealthy enough but it usually hides what modification my turret and hull is and would put extra work (even if very little) on the enemies' minds.

Side effect for the change on the Dictator's overdrive. With 25 points before, I used to share my OD a lot, with only 2 teammates. Hell, even with one sometimes, inside the enemy base.

 

But now, why would I share my OD to 2 teammates for only 20 points? Less than for 1 teammate alone before the update? So now, either I wait to find at least 3 teammates to share, or I just not share anymore, attack solo and keep the OD for me. Call me selfish if you want. Maybe you should have reduced to 15 points instead of 10. I find 10 to not be motivating enough to share the OD. Especially with teammates that just run when I ask them who wants the OD.

So based on what you're saying there, I'm gathering that you had no mind to share it with anyone before the buff. Did you usually use it on yourself before the buff?

Why would I want to chase teammates (because yes, most of them are weird, they see my star that indicates that my OD is full but they run away as fast as they can) to share my OD with them for 0 points? Why would I give full HP and supplies to teammates and give them a chance to score more points for 0 point for me? The 25 points update was designed to give players an incentive to share their Dictator OD. Because yeah, it might be team mode in MM, but there is a competition inside your own team for top places.

 

I work to make my OD completes faster with kills and assists. This is my OD, I do whatever I want with it. If 3 teammates are around me, I share. If there is only one, no point for me to share it for 10 points. I keep it for later if I see more teammates or I just attack and use the OD when I need it.

 

I wasn't using Dictator before the 25 points update. Because I prefer Viking, easy to control. I started to play again with Dictator when they made this update.

I see that as a good thing for balance. Gives other hull users a better chance to score one of the top places in their team.

Before the December 26th update, I had never seen an ally willingly run away from me if they saw I had my Overdrive ready. Why would you run away from getting all of your supplies activated and an instant 50% charge Overdrive boost? Makes no sense and I'd like to believe that you were watching teammates from behind that were driving away and who most likely did not see you. Who knows, maybe your teammates are masochists.

And why exactly did you start playing with it after the update? What was the big difference between before December 26th and after December 26th if you innately prioritised using the Overdrive for yourself?
