To everyone freaking out about pro battles, the announcement says it will only affect FORMAT battles.

So only FORMAT battles, like XP, BP, etc. will get affected.

 

NORMAL NON-FORMATS and PARKOUR, both won't get affected.

Same deal with Events.

About PRO FORMAT Battles

 

With this update, we’re also making an important change in PRO FORMAT Battles with the purpose of making them more specialized. So, after tomorrow’s restart, PRO FORMAT Battles will only be available to players with M7 equipment.

 

This change is geared towards niching down the player pool for a higher quality gameplay.

 

Of course, if you don’t yet have Mk7 gear, you will still be able to play XP/BP in PRO Battles, but you will not be able to specify the format.

 

And if you love Parkour, don’t worry, everything will remain as it is.

 

We know some of you will be a bit disappointed about this change. But once you reach Mk7 and start joining PRO FORMAT Battles, we hope you’ll be able to understand why we made this change and agree that it’s for a good purpose.

why make changes to the things that's benefitting players when you can remove "no spawn damage" that update benefitting non-buyers and buyers losing interest playing any more #buyerspower #balancedgamerofl #kekW also, when m2-m3 turrets sometimes does same damage as m4 #kekw

omg I don't even know what to say  this update....are you trying to get more people involved in parkour so they start buying stuff? Like whaaa? you need old M4 to play in pro battle? Feels like tanki devs are some group of cosmonauts lmao and they are taking parts from some other successful games and tries to make this game successful xd I guess even untill 2020 dec 31 it should be killed already. Like there is few good parts and it would be really big and great update...but you do it like this 50% sugar 50% salt and it goes like half stays half leaves (from the one whos on limit of staying or leaving this game)...it is pay to win game...it was popular when it wasn't that much pay to win tough...feels like parkour fighters feeds this game only...and you try to ruin it as much as possible... 

I'll comment below about some updates and how they really were made.

I don't have to show proof or something but a lot of people will remember that when team juggernaut mode were realeased they gave 100xp for each kill. Wich were kidna good, but for people with m4 boosters and shafts it was really easy to kill it so guranteed 1st place. That means yeah it were bad to give that much score. So why they did that?
(A: Probably they just wanted to get people playing there. That's nothing wrong I guess. BUT as we can see that they give more stuff to get people excited about so they play so same goes with stuff.)

Let's say drones. Nobody had mechanic and I guess they are trying to do same stuff with all drones. That mechanic drone was definetly unbalanced thing in game. They just wanted people to get it only (milking crystals from players) also it's good for parkour wars also just you will use very a lot of supplies (good because if you are low on supplies you are trying to get more of them)

Dictator update. When I readed update that said It's 25 xp for each team mate healed I tought I wonder it will take 1 or 2 weeks for them to nerf it. And then I realized that people got it m3 only for digging golds but since overdrives are in game it's useless. So they gave super buff to it and a lot people made it m4 on sales (one more milking crystals from players way)

That 5s after respawn immortality. That's one of most stupid updates maden ever. Let's say for matchmaking system it's kinda good for non buyer players  I guess but it's super anoying because if someone respawned with hammer and booster m4 that means ur dead and you can't change anything about that. How ever in parkour fights (parkour fights can be seen in maps from brigadier to legend if you are interested to see how much thousands of mines people are using there clans who usualy mine is: iAR, 6969, KOA, NXS, SXN, TQ, D361L and few more YBN mults clan). So if player who spawns has 5s immortality and he uses overdrive next to miner, no matter that miner has lifeguard drone and uses overdrive also, the guy who respawned will receive no damage for 2 seconds after ghost mode (that's aprox 3996 damage. + after spawn he will deal same amount of damage cuz he can't be killed so fast) that makes miners die and mine all map again so they waste mines very fast and they must buy more...this is how tanki milks buyers. I'm not trying to make people hate or something. I just ask for support on feedback and I hope they will stop diging money and start making game good as it was 5 years ago....before 5 years they started ruin it....If it would be good old tanki I bet a lot of pepople would come back to play.

Yes, it will fully replace the Flash client. The HTML5 version of the game is much more capable of newer expansions, so the Developers are trying to transition towards only using that specific version, thus also making the Flash version obsolete.

I do think there will be some backlash from players who have only ever played with the Flash version of the game, however, so I think there will be some sort of setting added to switch the User Interface back to the original one. This is just speculation, however, so please take it with a grain of salt, and not consider it a reality for the time being.

The new Microsoft Edge has been released on the 15th January 2019. I am concerned that will Microsoft Edge browser users be able to play Tanki Online on this new Edge browser without any issues?

 

The new Edge browser is based on the Chrome and Chromium browsers and uses a new engine called Blink. The old legacy Edge browser used the EdgeHTML browser.
