I never once said that was me ?. I might not have a good computer but its enough to run tanki. The guy talked about 3d graphics which most tanki players wouldnt be able to run. You do realize a lot of tanki players play on 2gb ram rigs right? ?‍♂️If they were to scale up the grahpics u and some other players with good PCs would be the only ones playing so maybe think before commenting ?

How do you know those things, did you go to each house of a tanki player asking the specifications of his computer?

Anyway, you know that the "ultraskin" were launched a long time ago right? I don't know if you knew but they are skins with more polygons and better textures.

https://tankionline.com/en/2020/06/hornet-ultra-skin/

So if according to you, most tanki players play on computers from the 90s, why do we have these skins with more polygons and better textures? do the tanki developers want to destroy their own player base?

I just want to say again, THANK GOSH THE EXPERIMENT IS OVER! Sorry for the caps, but no cap on that.

I definitely enjoy the longer games with more players. I didnt mind the experiment but I definitely enjoy the regular gameplay better.

someone explain to me what was the point of removing the m1 m2 m0 skin, save memory on the server?

The developers want to remaster the default skins. It's much easier to remaster one skin set than it is to remaster all of them, so they've removed all but one.

I hope they remake the M0 M1 and M2 as special skins in the future!

Edit: I know that will be a lot of work. I am still confused if they will remaster the XT and Prime skins as they are not HD as well. If we get a remastered XT, would you use an Ultra or the XT? It would look so badass!

They might remaster XTs and Primes, but we have no information about this.

Honestly I'm not a fan of XTs, and I doubt my opinion would change much if they were remastered. I think having animal designs on futuristic tanks looks very strange. Wings and gold plating I can tolerate, but eyes, claws, and teeth - no thanks. Viking and Hunter XT look alright though.

I think the XTs look very cool :P I want to see an HD Thunder XT and Hornet XT

BAD NEWS! After watching V-LOG 279, They are releasing another experiment soon!

They are removing small maps, and will make battles 16 vs 16. NO news about Battle Duration.

BAD NEWS! December 2nd to December 16th!!! Why not just make it ONE week. Bad handling again! There should be more than enough data with just ONE week! Am I being too critical?

Imagine MM with 32 players!!! What?!

Mediocre news: Fixed bugs on Mobile soon, and a visual note on Status Effects.

For example, when you have the AP effect active, It will briefly say, "Vulnerability"

Ooooo Id love getting rid of small maps and having bigger teams. Will make the battles feel more like battles and not small skirmishes. Will be fun to test

I don't believe it will be good. Made the same mistake last time.

There is also something you didn't consider. How stressed will the Matchmaking become? Or there even enough players willing to play the same mode?? What happens when players just leave? Terrible execution again.

My opinion.

What’s so bad about 16 vs 16? Gives space for more teamwork doesn’t it?

I've played Tanki since 2014...and here is what i think of it as time passes by:

2014 - Satisfied (It was my first fps game so I was thrilled....but it was hard for me to catch on to stuff)
2015 - Did not play (Parents didn't let me play online games. I only played in 2014 because of school computers lol)
2016 - Satisfied (I started to become a decent tanker and the game was overall, fun)
2017 - Loving (Discovered Daily Mission Chains, met my best friend, started to actually save up resources to upgrade and progress)
2018 - Loving (Containers :D. The weekly Mission chains were so rewarding too. An influx of balanced alterations helped made the game so vibrant)
Late 2018 - On Edge (Weekly Missions/Container update was released. Forced you to finish all three missions per day to get the reward)
2019 - Hate (Switching the mission reward rates so you only earned 3 containers per week. Also, the challenges were practically impossible for me to finish. If I had no life outside of tanki, I could do them, but otherwise, no. Also I'm not a buyer, so i can't buy Premium to speed things up)
Early 2020 - Hate (Same with 2019....but also because of the Augments update. I also do not like how unbalanced the Hull Augments are. I also don't like the new turret Augments)
Late 2020 - Satisfied (Still has the problems stated above...but at least challenges are easy to do now :D. Props to the developers for implementing stars to missions. They just did it 20 months too late)

Edit: there are more reasons as to why I like/dislike certain years, but this is just the highlights of each period

Oh nice! I will create mine, started in 2012

2012 - My starts.  my adrenaline hit the highest point

2013 - Re-balance problems, the ugly graphics. but making a new friends in game with Skype. also starting my channel, also still newbie something with high excitement

2014 - Many players said this is their best year in Tanki. Awesome discount, good players base.

2015 - Continue playing - routine

2016 - bad routine + leaving the game for more periods

2017 - The most horrible year, the best Forums that I have more than 3,000 posts in there, get closed.. MM coming, Alterations.. hitting the darkest red here

2018 - 2019 - I think I left the game in this period, without any intention of leaving or stop playing.. no just a normal boring from the game/ made me maybe forget the game

2020 - Trying to chase 2017 of the worst year.. HTML5, forcing some mechanics to us, Augments, Hovering hulls, the most year who have OPs (Vulcan, Hornet, Hopper, RFM, etc...), lack in players, explicitly items just for buyers, Worst experiment

People think that it'll be more chaotic but I don't think it will because the maps will be much larger. I'm looking forward to this new experiment. It's just like how those big battles were back in the day. If I can remember correctly, the time stays at 7 minutes which sucks in my opinion.

TO needs to implement something else into the game for players to be able to aim for.

This (something else) has to be long term, like 6 or even 12 months to achieve.

I also think whatever this something is it could maybe have 3 levels.

Now whatever this something is the rewards you get for achieving each level is based on your rank.

Recruit up to sergeant major get rewards that help them stay in contention at the next rank level, which would be WO1-WO5.

This could be implemented for all the ranks up to marshal.

At field marshal through to legend rank the rewards should be cry, as at these ranks you need a ton of them to upgrade equipment.

TO has become a bit stale with all the usual same old same old updates. These updates benefit those that are financially more able to keep up with the ever changing balance of the game.

I also think that the xp you have to earn to reach the next level should be increased, at least x3 between the lowest rank (recruit) right up to marshal. This would have 2 immediate effects on the low to mid rank players. 1-It keeps them at a rank for longer (especially the low ranks) to enjoy the game at their level, and 2-stops them ranking to quickly and getting overwhelmed by higher ranks because their garage is just too weak to compete. The increased time at any particular rank also gives them more time to acquire much needed cry to upgrade equipment, which they need to be able to compete at a reasonable level that does not see them get over run in most of the battles they go into at the next rank levels.

The x3 increase would also give newbies more time to master the controls for handling the basics, like being able to turn your turret and fire at the same time.

A tutorial explaining how to do this by say a well established esports player would be imo a great way to teach the newbies how to get the best out of whatever combo they prefer. Might even give a few legend players a much needed refresher in the art of basic tank control.

This is me being very nice and friendly and still fighting for the little guy with a clapped out combo hiding in a corner of the map, praying he doesn't get discovered by a big bad buyer (5 ranks above him) with maxed out everything.

Agreed.  Super-Large maps and 7 minute (who's kidding, it's really 6.5) battles don't go well together.

And just before you think it can't get worse, matchmaking may put you in 3min games, or even games like SGE, you end up spawning all the way on the other side by luck, and for heavy hull users *a few eternities later image file here* will take some time to make a game changing move.

I don't stay in 3 minute battles.

Just like when being placed in Archipelego, I exit immediately.

See, some have mentioned tanki getting stale. Ive never felt bored with the grind. Partly for me, the stats and building of an amazing account is what keeps me in as well as building skills. For example, even at legend rank, you know when youre facing a veteran legend vs a newer legend. Theres a pretty big difference between them. That keeps me going

Stale isn't the right word for the state this game is in. I would say messy and unrecognizable better suits it. They are mostly tinkering with things that didn't need to be tinkered with.

And when they do change something that needs to be changed, it's usually way too late. Or in some things, they just milk the $$ out of it.

I think tanki won't survive another year. So best to enjoy it while you can.
