What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?

I have just played two battles today after a month. One match I was Juggernaut with maxed equipment and I was attacking someone with Crusader, I have emptied my salvo on them and one / two railgun shot from me and they didn't die, after I died I completed to fight them with my maxed striker and barely killed them. I don't have to read what mix of Augments or whatever new tanki thing they use I just can say confidently this will be my last tanki game at least in a year.

I just use tanki as a wasting time if I have a boring video in background so I use tanki as a brainrot game, but I think I have to find other random games for videos.

In my second battles, I faced a Striker that take 80% of my maxed Titan with every shot. Again, I don't need to read which mix of augments they use, we were in a close fight and I see them can shot regularly like any Striker but with massive damage, definitely more than 3000dmg each shot.

I think if I took any developer in a close talk, they will laugh on me for playing a game they're just milking it now. I think any 14+ guy can be aware of this fact. I'm 23.

The game feels more like a one-armed bandit casino machine where people fire all the time and hope for a hit.

There is no need to use Z or X to rotate the turret using this method; you don't even have to look at the screen.  Every upgrade is a downgrade.

But letting everyone know who was successfully caught cheating IS a good thing.

There is nothing to be gained from keeping that secret.

The list of gameplay reports is private because people used to stalk it and harrass those who "snitched" a lot. It's not that deep.

You probably don't remember when they actually posted the names of hackers monthly.

Anywhere from dozens and dozens to hundreds of names. Which I feel is a lot of hackers, but whatever.

Meaning: anyone with any programming knowledge could hack here.

 

Although much like the dwindling player base, pretty sure that number of hackers would have dwindled to barely a dozen as well.

They've moved on to something more interesting. And the 'privacy' angle doesn't really apply anymore.

 

It isn't a conspiracy. It's the way they do business. I thought knowing this was common sense, but apparently it isn't.

Tanki doesn't like to be embarassed. Anything to minimize embarassment, tanki will do. Hackers are embarassing.

But they can't stop hackers. So the only other recourse is to obfuscate the report procedure. No report, no hackers. Ta da!

Now, they just give an automated text to pacify the player who clicked on 'report'. lol

 

Watch this (this will no doubt be deleted, so I will also send you this in an email) This is how tanki doesn't like to be embarassed:

1. The glitches and lags are so frequent now, I think it's actually programmed into the game.

2. Tanki is grifting its players out of the money they paid without giving them a tanki classic release date.

3. The forum has outlived its purpose. There is no community. Only updates. It needs to be shut down so tanki can finally die its final death. I mean, there are more mods here than players...

 

 

If this stays posted, there are a couple of mods who have some explaining to do.

But it won't.

That's the only thing I agree with you on. Forums in general are a relic of the "old internet", from a time before social media and instant messaging became widespread. I still like the concept, because lack of instant communication encourages posts to be longer and better-structured. But all forums are dying and it's not something to try and fix, neither is it something to despair about.

I gotta say, the Tanki EN discord server is one of the most active game community servers I've seen, for a game this size. I know way more popular games with official discord communities looking like a ghost town.

I don't think any of what we have talked about are conspiracies.

Common sense dictates that it isn't good business to advertise (in any capacity) how many people hack in an online game...

And it's funny that post is even still up because it's literally a copy and paste of statements from other posts that were taken down.

You can apply whatever conspiracy you think is going on to that one as well.

Since you seem to believe that you know everything that's going on, tell me this — what was the main thing that changed regarding this list of online users, when the forum got upgraded to the new engine a few years ago?

On an unrelated note: Isida's Support Nanobots is practically useless in current state. Providing players with the ability to heal for an extended period of time at the same rate as every other augment with the downside of half damage makes an already low dps (comparative to other melee turrets) option even lower. I do think that expanding on the combat aspect of isida provides players with extra flexibility that makes the game overall more enjoyable, but it should not come at the expense of playstyles that revolve around healing as a means of preserving the integrity of win conditions and/or playing in general.

Edit: I don't think excelsior increases healing rate (if the wiki is correct)
