Viking is sooo strong even without the Status now. Damage boosting is insane.

It has the rapid fire AND damage boost for reload turrets.  IMO it does not need the damage boost.  The rapid-fire alone is enough to easily destroy enemies.  Even a tank with Defender and module won't stand up to that many rail hits in such a short time.

And the "it takes a long time to recharge" rebuttal?  Come on - we all know in an MM battle it really does not take as long as people claim.  Between scoring, and dictators and supply drops the Viking gets OD plenty during a 7 min battle.

Well, what I mean is that it's not that overpowered. You get at most 2 or 3 kills, and even then, tons of ways to stop it if you're creative. I've taken on 2 viking users both of whom tried to OD me and still come out on top using Crusader for example. Often times, it suffices to simply take cover. A lot of the players who use Viking will literally not even try to come after you for some reason. Actually, defender and modules are often times enough to stop a viking's OD completely, and I speak from experience. Many times a Thunder for example decides to use its OD on me, and due to my drone and protections, I close in and make them self destruct. I was once fighting a Twins stable plasma user who tried to activate their OD on me, using HUnter (without using any OD mind you) I managed to literally drive around a building having the player chase me, and ultimately destroyed them. It's far from being weak, but I would say it's not OP.

Yeah, but for example this new update, if true, will definitely lead to less Viking users, because the players who used to spam Hornet before can now return to their Hornet because it's not that much worse than Hornet during the Hornet meta. Nerfing Viking would've been pointless anyways, because Viking isn't OP in the first place.

Not in general.  More often than not the target is destroyed.  And that's speaking from experience.

I've easily destroyed JUGs with smoky on a viking.  Rail would be even more devastating.

The vikings that are unsuccessful don't know what they are doing.  Can't count on that on a regular basis.

Well yes, but the way to beat a Viking user isn't a head on confrontation. Defender and modules will afford you the time needed (not always but at least many times) to escape. A lot of times, Juggernaut users don't really know what they're doing though. Yes, there are the 9999 GS Viking users who usually manage to do excellently with Viking, but even they don't rack up more than 3-4 kills. Ultimately, I think the OD needs to be powerful as it is now. The point of an OD is to make you immensely stronger than you are without it (and I recognize that some hulls don't actually do this directly or even at all).

I see the most effective turrets with Viking are : Railgun (especially devastating LCR), Magnum , Thunder.  Viking with the rest of turrets isn't that powerful, and Viking is really UP with many turrets/augments. Like Shaft/Vulcan.. And Ricochet plasma-torch.

LOLDEATHKILLER is a very right when said that Viking isn't that powerful against 50% modules/Defender, this combination sometimes is a quite enough to waste 3-5 seconds from your OD on a certain player. Also Jugger with 50% protection is not that easy prey for LCR players. I usually when I'm the Jugger, I easily turn Viking's aim off when they come around me, or hiding behind a building or something. Especially against LCR when you have 50% prot which requires him to waste more than 5s on you, and it's really hard tbh.  Still Viking OD is a really OP and approximately the only valid effective OD in TJR. But TJR isn't the only mode in the game and is the worst mode for me I don't play it.

Ok I remember the discussion was about Viking and we was criticizing it and I'm also.. But someone appeared suddenly exploiting the discussion for promoting his OP Hopper, which turned me disgusted from criticizing Viking more. That called Yelloghetto.

To be honest any turret can do really well (I would claim except vulcan). Ideally the harder it hits, the better. The key is really to be smart. Against a Viking's OD, you cannot fight up front, instead avoiding, taking cover, or just generally surviving rather than fighting will be the most effective response. Once the 7 seconds are up, the Viking will be unable to shoot for a second or two, which is when you're supposed to strike back and cripple them. Like most advice, this won't work every time, but it has a decent success rate. As for JGR, often times players will activate their Juggernaut's OD before the Viking uses theirs, and this is really the biggest mistake, because the OD is the easiest way by far to deal with a viking.

I've often defeated Vikings by holding my nerve and activating the Juggernaut's OD at the right time. It's quite satisfying when you know that the Viking has wasted its and OD and was expecting an easy kill.

I also play run'n'gun with the Juggernaut and drive around the map targeting Vikings first, but not recklessly. Being on a team with a camping Juggernaut that doesn't utilize the Juggernaut's speed advantage can be annoying.

Viking's OD just doesn't frighten me that much. It's more of an annoyance than a rage-inducing thing like Hopper's OD, where equipping one immunity just means that you'll get killed by not having any immunity to the other effect.

But back on topic, I'm getting more fed up with the game, especially the frequency of disruptive updates. My first account is about to get to Marshall and I'll probably play a lot less when I can buy any Mk7 equipment.

Yes! It's awesome! Earlier I used to be worried when Vikings showed up, but ever since I realized this, I find it especially fun to hurl them through the air! I've even been attacked by 2 Vikings and pulled it off (luckily) and it's an awesome feeling. Yeah, I feel the same way. I find Hunter and Hooper to be the most annoying overdrives. Dying to a Viking's OD isn't reallly that different from a normal death, and it's not a huge deal to me.

If Hopper is as crazy OP as you describe, why don't you try spending a whole week with it? I still die a lot with it and prefer to not use it on my mini because it is so weak.

I wouldn't waste a single cry on the legal hack.

And no i'm not discriminating low G/S, just highlighting the pitfalls YET AGAIN of ranking beyond your means and getting taken apart by players with a far superior garage.

Unlike you i state facts in my posts. I state the FACT that the legal cheat is OP and has a unique and MASSIVE advantage in battles, primararly CTF.

You have yet to prove otherwise with your biased view of the legal hack.

If you keep getting bad results with your legal hack then tuff. More of the same i say.

And you only don't use it on your mini because you don't have the funds to max it out are get defender, depending on your rank.

I'm quite sure if you had the ability to enhance the legal hack then you would do so in a heartbeat, and then use it's hack abilities to dominate at the lower ranks.

Remember who your conversing with getto boy. I fully understand your motives when you react or reply to anything i post.

When it comes to the legal hack i will shoot you down in flames every time, because my assessment of it is correct, yours is biased and wrong.

Even @Maf who uses the legal hack on a regular basis, acknowledges the OP nature of it. 

Start telling the truth about your legal cheat and stop sidestepping the obvious facts about how OP it is.

To be honest it's not a trash compared to stock Railgun, because it's almostly Stock with a burn advantage... But as stock Railgun is a really trash and useless, the only viable Augments are LCR's variants. So yes it's somehow a trash

Regardless of ODs, I don't know why Viking have a low weight, which made it swing left and right with a least touch. Though the difference in wiki between Hunter&Viking is just 400, but I don't know why I feel Viking is way more weak against the shoots. My aim is always ruined by any single hit

I always hoped to get a Heavy Weight on my Viking.. to make it more stable and not affected with the shoots/touches.. And other purposes to be honest

Honestly you don't need heavyweight on Viking in general. Just keep mobile, and the impact force from getting shot at is actually not so bad. Viking Heavyweight is awesome in ASL if you're attacking though because you can just throw anybody who tries to stop you out of your way and capture.

Stupid game, I have played it till I reach TH 10 (or 9) and the time for upgrades have increased exponentially some of them for 7 days or 14.. How much time left for my life to waste week after week waiting for upgrades, which the upgrades are obstacles in your playing. So basically I uninstalled it, I think it was in the vacation and I don't want my vacation to end quickly by waiting weeks and weeks for the upgrades.

clan wars, being in a th 9 only clan , clan discord server make it a bit more interesting

I quit after getting to Legend League. Game is almost as pay to win as Tanki Online.

I hope there won't be a TH14 anytime soon. I maxed my Town Hall last year -_-

Tbh, I think it almost isn’t P2W (Tanki although most guys say it is, isn’t a lot P2W btw) it just takes a long time for the upgrades which need gems to finish but patience is ?. And there are new updates to help get rewards even more easily than before. Though I don’t play for the rewards anymore ;-;

CoC Isn't a p2w, but it's a time grinding and depending on the time.

Tanki Online is disgustingly p2w , but I don't blame you why you compare them both because you don't see EMP Gauss nor Hopper nor Booster as OPs. So I'm not sure what's the p2w aspect in your mind.

Btw, thank you for your "Agree" in my past post, I wonder how you dare to give me a positive reaction after maybe more than a hundred Confused in a row.
