I mean, that would be making Thunder OP. Even if you have people using protection vs it, it is still going to be hard to kill. When you are balancing something, you must balance it with something that doesn't have protection, you know? Having protection modules is a temporary thing, in which changes every game. The next game might not have any people with protection. You will be too OP at this point, so it doesn't make much sense to buff Thunder even more because of this reason.

Thunder OP? It's not like it can 3 shot a medium hull. People use it because it is simple, but it has been one of the weakest turrets for a long time. Try playing vanilla Thunder. sooo weak

Railgun was and sometimes still is a common turret in most games. Before Hornet OD was changed, it was common to see a Booster Railgun with Hornet at times, Falcon did help a lot, and sometimes still does. As for thunder. it is a common turret, and module from mostly the 'OG players' of Tanki, bulldozer/raiden kit that comprised of a solid good emerald paint, the legacy of thunder still remains. Thunder still is a very viable turret otherwise, hence why many still use modules against it. 

I personally use Spider, Falcon and Owl. Spider because everyone can lay mines, it is more of a nuisance running through saboteur, I'd rather eat more mines. Falcon due to like I said above and also since 'XP/BP' combo's are pretty common at times. Owl because there are a few more EMP Salvo Gauss' running around and I would personally not like to use EMP immunity, I value stun immunity more in many occasions. Since and EMP's main weakness is inability to kill the player, unless they keep striking you with EMP's hence wasting time, I can take cover and just casually heal up with the supply reset.
I don't use melee modules at all, this is true especially for when using ranged turrets. As a ranged turret player, it is your responsibility to be aware of your surroundings. Ranged turrets are much more of a threat than melee's by far.
I also don't use protection against Magnum or Shaft, simply because they are high damage turrets, I would rather die than have half HP when attacking a team, rushing into a base, especially since a portion of these players use booster drones.
I don't bother changing up modules in-game either anymore, I feel everything is generally balanced, or at least towards me they all feel fair.

The thing is, the game has 14 turrets, and then we have mines. To bring in 3 modules, you still may have games where some of your modules are doing nothing due to enemy not using those select turrets, and so, are you going to change mid-game, i personally could never be bothered for module changing. The game has a plethora of turret sets, you are not always guaranteed, with up to 8 enemies (let's ignore mad tanks live testing), that may be up to 8 different turrets and maybe they all mine, so thats 9 modules that could be used, and you could still join that game with something none of these 8 are using, it's a gamble. Although many modes may have common turrets, I.e shock freeze in CTF/RGB games, common gauss in Siege, etc.

But yeah, everyone has a different idea of what is deadly to them. That is something that only their personal experience will give them. People using thunder module? Maybe they've just been too annoyed by getting hit by a Thunders splash damage, or it could be the only one of the few modules some may have due to some kit sets. IIRC Thunder Kits right now contain the thunder module correct? This also is used to reduce self splash damage. Also with Railgun, many get the 'XP/BP' type kits, and these kits also have only Railgun modules within them.

Well, I mean it can kill a medium hull in 3 shots without any protections. Especially with the alteration that gives you a faster reload.

Damage decrease over distance, long reloads, repair kit.

Thunder is just too old and hasn’t seen changes for a while besides it’s Augments. It needs a slight rework. The projectile shooting was not a good change for it. Not saying it should be removed but something about it’s fire rate/damage should be redone. Even if nerfing Small Caliber Charging Machine and Sledgehammer Rounds

This is key.  Can't buff a turret without taking into consideration how that affects augments.

without those 2 Augments, Thunder is pretty useless. Might as well use Magnum Striker or Gauss.

I do like to use Sub-Calibre rounds with hopper though. That is a great augment.

where have u been dude? Sledgehammer Rounds is basically an upgrade.

I've played Tanki since 2014...and here is what i think of it as time passes by:

2014 - Satisfied (It was my first fps game so I was thrilled....but it was hard for me to catch on to stuff)
2015 - Did not play (Parents didn't let me play online games. I only played in 2014 because of school computers lol)
2016 - Satisfied (I started to become a decent tanker and the game was overall, fun)
2017 - Loving (Discovered Daily Mission Chains, met my best friend, started to actually save up resources to upgrade and progress)
2018 - Loving (Containers :D. The weekly Mission chains were so rewarding too. An influx of balanced alterations helped made the game so vibrant)
Late 2018 - On Edge (Weekly Missions/Container update was released. Forced you to finish all three missions per day to get the reward)
2019 - Hate (Switching the mission reward rates so you only earned 3 containers per week. Also, the challenges were practically impossible for me to finish. If I had no life outside of tanki, I could do them, but otherwise, no. Also I'm not a buyer, so i can't buy Premium to speed things up)
Early 2020 - Hate (Same with 2019....but also because of the Augments update. I also do not like how unbalanced the Hull Augments are. I also don't like the new turret Augments)
Late 2020 - Satisfied (Still has the problems stated above...but at least challenges are easy to do now :D. Props to the developers for implementing stars to missions. They just did it 20 months too late)

Edit: there are more reasons as to why I like/dislike certain years, but this is just the highlights of each period

@Akame ofcourse evne railgun will have 100 damage ill stil use protect because its the worst gun in this game i hate that gun the most railgun is so op damn im happy they fixed hornet overdrive no i cant get 1 shooted my a bad railgun but stil the tanks now are 4 k health for this bad flying tank and then stun overdrive if someone has that hopper then they win its top op but yeah this developers have bad decisions what was wrong with the old health and havent 2 weeks passed already

all tanks should go back to the old health otherwise ricochet shoul have more bullets guas faster aiming striker to vulcan 900 damage/sec and booster not for 3 but for 6 second boost and hopper need to be nerved with this dumb stun overdrive or you just dont drop flag when stunned but i like the old health so much more to 1 shot those to op def droneswith a light hull in this time having 4k-6k-8k is stun very op or from hopper then its fast so u can run away like with hunter. i want the old health back and why making update first fix those guns sometimes not giving damage specially with ricocheti shoot but when almost out of fuel it will glitch and like 1/2 of the bullets doesnt do damage

and when i drive my viking with twins i shoot sometimes they dont get damage even when they are standing still and when i stop moving my gun gives damage  never seen that in gta fortnite call of duty. and i mean it isnt ping because if it was then even roblox is better with dealing damage i mean sometimes players are litterly standing still wtf and its not lag i got like 1-10 ping and 144 fps so its def not of my pc. i mean like why does it need to be on a site like you can make a game so much better when it like a download like gta fortnite minecraft call of duty. like maybe remake the game and make something like a scanner to copy the account from this weak site to a real download because then the game will be so much better like html fps sucks when im playing on my intel graphic because if have a laptop with a 2060 but anyways i downloaded to get 144 so it use videocard. but anyways i mean im playing with 100 fps on google and im lagging so much like i got 30 fps its even worse then minecraft. and yes my english sucks like this 2 times so strong tank update. if players dont know what i mean i mean that they just need to remaster this game i mean look at tanki x no turret lagg and look very great with sick animations andi mean its not tht tankionline has much players any more so its brob not hard to make something to copy players there account that read his tank modification lvl rank all his protection and then just put it in a remastered version of tankionline not even that i care about graphic but still i care about guns not dealing damage. but in my opnium those developers are milking this game. so yeah that why i stopped buying or i only buy those 500 coins cars for every 2 weeks to get the golden price.

Well, I really liked the Thunder that is on the tutorial version of the game. It had great damage and a very fast reload speed ?

This list of opinions and judgement is exactly like mine! 2017 and 18 were the peaks to me, and everything just fell flat.

Bruh. On the Official Tanki Online site, have you not seen the big "Download" button? Kinda hard to miss... just sayin.'

Unless you play on a Chromebook. It will definitely not show up.

Spent my first bit of money in talisman online mobile a couple days ago and unlike when I did in tanki, I actually feel satisfied with what I got from it.

 

So sorry tanki, you lose out. There's a game that actually wants my support.

Tanki bundles, especially, Skins. Needs to be reduced in Tankoins. Skins are rare and stuff, but do not provide any statistical boost, besides your ego. Too overpriced in my opinion.

Not just that but in tanki I felt like I had to buy in order to be able to compete with other players, that's why I bought the Raiden kit back in mid March 2019.

 

In talisman, I was able to compete even as a free to play player, and when I bought in that game, I actually didn't feel like I had to. I felt like I wanted to.

I personally spend money on things I enjoy, Tanki Online bundles used to be worth and the game was alright, but now, it is so hard to compete with the P2W players, and the fact that everything in the Shop is overpriced, makes the game unappealing to new F2P players and veterans.

If you do decide to jump ship to talisman online mobile, I'd recommend looking for servers that are labeled as "New" or "smooth" for the best experience. Avoid the servers labeled as "full" as as they could be full of super strong players.

Caution though, it requires about 5-6 GB to download.
