If you had the capability of reversing a single update, which would it be?

It's been a few years already, I think, since the tanki online developers started implementing status effect augments. They have more or less been manageable, but things seemed to start to get out of hand since the release of Tesla. The status augments from then on have been chaotic; freeze's jamming mix, EMP,  and firebird's counterparts are a few examples. Now, ricochet seemed to have won the attention from the devs, beginning to get some status effect augments. The sizzling field augment don't seem too bad, but pulsar? That seems a bit too far IMO. 

I'm pretty sure many of you agree with me, that the developers either need to stop making those augments, or give it some major nerfs. (I am personally all for removing pulsar from this game; the developers can make up a story about it getting lost in space, therefore unobtainable ? )

So, I'm holding a petition. If you agree that changes/nerfs are needed to be applied to the status effects augments, or that the augments should be completely removed, write your name below as a way to sign the petition. I'll see how much names we can get in one month. Thank you!

As for your Idea of "Petition", kindly refrain from such acts, the meaning of posting your idea itself means you desire to see an attribute get removed from the game.

Whether this topic is treated as a troll topic, it's up to the players. But this topic stands for the type of ideas that you suggested, "removing an in-game parameter or object from the game". All posts related to these must be posted here. If player's agree with you and show support and appreciation, the faster it  will come under Dev's eyes.

I would've argued a bit further but from past experiences I've always been proven wrong so.. ?

Tbh I just wanted to see how many people would sign, and how the devs would react accordingly.

I'd remove the update that inroduced status effects. The game was much more balanced before those, and all turrets had unique characteristics (except gauss), and most of the uagments were usable.

Removig is not an option, as people spent money to get them. Change however, is needed in my opinion too. I remember i also made such petition topics around 2020 May ?

Exactly my thoughts, @Incorp I don't think status effects or rather the augments would be deleted from the game, because they have become an important factor of the game, both gameplay wise and earnings wise. Status effects have been in the game for a long time now, with Gauss EMP being the first one, rather several parameter nerfs which could indulge those augments in the current balance would be rather much appreciated.

15 minute battles

Doesn't matter if you are winning, losing, or the battle is very close; after 10 minutes, the remaining minutes feel like torture

Siege is especially annoying because it often becomes impossible for the losing team to win or draw in the remaining time

Long battles were fun in the “old Tanki”. In today’s MM where everyone cares about missions they suck.

15 minutes battles were standard when I started playing four years ago and I didn't have a problem with them then and probably didn't support making them shorter (would need to search for my reaction)

But the be-on-the-winning-team missions have changed that, like wasting an hour on four battles and getting top three or even first place on the losing team in all of them and ending up with no progress on those missions

I think most players would be delighted if being on the winning team was no longer a requirement for any mission, and fewer players would quit battles

Not many players can win battles on their own, and being on a good team in MM is down to luck instead of skill

(battles should be 10 minutes)

I would reverse the update where they turned Hunter's OD + Fire/Freeze into status effects that could be countered with hull augments. In other words, I would reverse the ability to be immune to status effects. This for me is where TO really got bad.

It pisses me off to think how fun this game could have become after the introduction of Overdrives a few years ago.

- ODs should fully charge only once or twice a game;

- “Augments” should never have been a thing: imagine how many good, balanced alterations the devs could have created;

- They should have released a bunch of maps into MM (old and new). There is a decent amount of nice maps made by map creators and plenty of older maps too. It’s boring and monotonous to play on the same maps constantly, no matter how “balanced” they may be.

- Devs shouldn’t have focused so heavily on cosmetics, skins and aesthetics. Most players like (or even outright prefer) the older graphics of the game anyway.

Now that I think of it, the game was actually pretty damn good in 2018, though sadly it started rapidly going downhill after that.

So true actually. ODs were criticized heavily but they really did bring a lot of fun and uniqueness into the game. And the trade-off system you had with alterations as well as balanced prices seem like heaven compared to what we have now. ?

I wouldn't have minded ODs if it was the old ODs where you got free supplies and healing no matter what hull you were using.  And the number of times you could use the OD were limited down to 2-3 times per match.

Mhm that's OK too, but honestly the new ODs really did add something new and unique into the game.

I still think Matchmaking is the single worst update. TO did start off as an arcade game, which has a very specific meaning and can’t be replicated with MM.

It was one of the selling points of the game - players can hop on and quickly create battles in whatever maps they like and play with friends. There were lobbies that catered to all types and lengths of battle so everyone could choose their way of playing the game. From parkour to long CP matches to hardcore CTFs, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

That’s basically non-existent with MM as the focus was shifted away from having fun and towards grinding resources and completing challenges. What a shame.

For me, the hulls would've been unique enough if every one of the same weight class didn't have the same stats. The new ODs just over-complicated the gameplay.
