I am glad that the Massacre map has been removed from matchmaking battles because this map is difficult to drive tanks on a bumpy map. Killing enemies is also difficult due to the uneven terrain of this map. The Massacre map is only suitable for pro battles with extended battle time.

The best thing about this update are the special missions and the special DM mode where everyone can be a juggernaut/terminator combo and catch lots and lots of gold boxes. I hope that the juggernaut DM mode will have very strong juggernaut tanks.

Yes, less time = less teamwork since when there’s less time there’s more tension till the battle ends.

UM... "spend more time in battle" while reducing the length of battles?

"action time" = 7 sec to 14 sec?  Double the duration?  But most other hulls get nothing?  hardly seems fair...

While reviewing your feedback, we realized that you really want some major changes in the game. We have already reworked challenges and missions, and we’re happy that you liked it! This time we have something completely new to enhance gameplay and inspire you to play more. The cause of this update is to make battles more strategically interesting and let you spend more time in the battle itself, rather than spending time respawning.

 

Starting from the servers’ restart on November 4th, we will make some changes in the game that will last for 2 weeks:

I don't like the update about the battle duration. And removing big maps. Yes I know is a test but yeah. Anyways I rly like those special missions and the Special event with the juggernaut ?

Finally Tanki is reviving a bit... We can see a few good updates in a decade at least. The mission update caused me to be more regular..minimum 1hr a day and everybody knew these large maps just sucks in jgr mode... Anyways good work devs.

I hope that the new matchmaking battles experiment will have the Island map.

Small maps and less time to battle.  Hoppers gonna love this change I suppose.

i think this change is nice, another change i would appreciate would be revamping mm system like in tanki x there was ratings system, here teams r very unbalanced smtimes like in tanki x we had a preparation time acc to map and mode so we can have same here and mm may depend on GS and like in tanki x leaving a battle decreased ur rating smthing similar shud be introduced cuz most of the time i play in teams like 6v8 cuz of domination players keep leaving, and yeah like in tanki x match duration was reduced if it was domination that was a perfect mm in my opinion.

Viking currently has the weakest Overdrive charging parameters in the game by far. For Viking, a large majority of its Overdrive charge comes from points in battle - most notably kills and assists - and not from passive charging. 

 

Increasing HP of all hulls is increasing the survivability of all hulls which puts the passive charging parameter on a greater pedestal. With battles being shortened to 5 minutes, this hurts Vikings the most. Not only that but this higher HP will be used with protection modules as well, which is a soft counter to Viking, so I can understand if they'd want to give Viking a longer duration. 

 

The other offensive Overdrives have effects that deal fixed damage like Mammoth, Ares, Hopper. Hornet can bypass protections on particular players and all allies benefit. Dictator charges its teamamtes Overdrives. Hunter has both a fast passive charging rate and a good point-to Overdrive charge ratio so it should be good until we see if anything unprecedented happens. 

 

They mentioned in the RU version of the announcement that they'll make changes during the experiment if needed. Maybe if Viking becomes too powerful they will nerf it mid-experiment.

I do agree that the matchmaking system is a bit unbalanced. Its good to have proper balance maintained in matchmaking battles. Pro battles are great for having dodgy maps like Massacre in them. Having the Massacre map in matchmaking battles was my worst nightmare because of the uneven terrain. Thank goodness that developers chose to remove the Massacre map in the map pool for matchmaking battles.

Maps I would like to see in the new matchmaking system re-balance are Island, Archipelago, Arena, Ping-Pong, Valley and Zone. Those maps would work perfectly well in 6 vs 6 battles lasting 5 minutes long.

NO.

Archipelago (the worst map ever) is already in MatchMaker.  They need to remove it.
