For small maps, I suggest 10 vs 10 players.

Too many.  It's like a mosh-pit.

Unless you equip Defender you are dying every 30 seconds (or less).  How is respawning that often fun?  ?

Even 8 vs 8 on the smallest MM maps is crowded.

In Siege what I have seen is that a Shaft is sniping out Firebird which are NOT into the capture. Instead it could snipe out ones near the point and there were a bunch.

That would infer they leave the safety of their "nest" and thus risk their all-important K/D ratio.  Don't be silly.

16 vs 16 nullifies many tanks/turrets, and makes it impossible to complete daily missions.

Finish in the top 3 in 15 battles?  It already took weeks to do that under the previous format.

Capture a flag?  I can't even get close to the flag much less grab it and make it all the way back to home base.

The current format nullifies the 700+ hours I put into this game developing hulls and turrets.

If the current format is gong to be THE format going forward, then daily/weekly missions need to reflect the downside of one having developed small tanks and melee turrets.

My M7-7 Wasp is getting one shotted right out of spawn, and if I make it out of spawn, it gets knocked over, misdirected, or destroyed in the next few seconds.

So, the time I spent developing Wasp was/is a waste.

A few more thoughts:

first I love the full battles. They feel like the battles ive only seen on video from old tanki.

Second I love the big maps. So many amazing and fun maps to play on and explore that normal matchmaking just skips.

Third, 16v16 might be a bit much but i do like the larger numbers. Perhaps 12v12 would be a good substitute.

all in all, please dont get rid of these amazing large beautiful maps. Death track, skylarck, Lost temple, Berlin are so unique and fun. Keep them in rotation

How has the new format changed how you play wasp? I'd suggest that with more players, you are less likely to be targeted at spawn. I never get spawn killed in the current 16v16 maps

I will explain my opinion on the changes made in this experiment.

Starting with the number of players, it makes it harder to stay alive and effective in battle, since with a larger team to combat, your often outnumbered if you are separated from your team, which, happens often since the unity of teams in MM isn’t always the best. An increase in team size was something that would seem like a good idea only if the team size was increased by 2 or 3 players. However, doubling the team size is problematic.

Secondly, id like to discuss the change in MM maps for this experiment. Good to focus on larger maps but wasn’t really necessary, having varied sizes in maps makes way for new kinds of strategies to be formed. And with only large maps, this limits things. Sure, it’s a more open experience but a less welcome one, seeing the overall feedback.

Larger map means more time needed to reach enemy base in general.

I think you should increase the battle time, because 6-7 minutes (let's be honest, it's 5-6 minutes for most player including me, or sometimes even 3-4 minutes) is woefully short for any effective gameplay.

In Lost Temple, tanks get sniped before they even cross half the map, and have to start all over again from their spawn zones. 7-8 tanks are always flanking the flag / base unless it's SGE or TDM.

I really think that the battle time should be increased if you're increasing the map size.

I want this to be in the game permanently. Granted, I was skeptical at first cause I thought the only maps available would be Highways and Stadium, but after actually playing, I kinda like it.

If you're a pro, there's more cannon fodder for you to kill for exp.

If you're a newbie, there's more cannon fodder to protect you and keep you from dying.

Overall, its a k/d ratio boost and exp boost. Stuff like Mechanic Drone and Dictator's Overdrive are extremely good farming devices now.

Granted, there are fps and loading problems for some people, so before it becomes a permanent thing, those problems will have to be addressed first.
Additionally, I feel like Juggernauts need a nerf if there's going to be 15 players defending one Juggernaut, but otherwise, all the other game modes seem balanced. (To me at least)

TDM also needs to have the 70 point endgame increased to like 100 points.
CTF, CP, RGB are fine

Assault and Siege Modes are the most fun to play in, however.

I don't want an exp boost and don't care about my K/D, completing objectives is more fun than killing tanks, which is why I rarely play TDM and wish fans of TDM would only play TDM

Not enjoying this experiment, most maps are overcrowded and the one map that isn't, Dusseldorf, is just a big flat boring maze

Agreed.

And they need to remove more maps for this experiment.  I won't play on Year 2042 or Industrial zone with 32 tanks.

The only thing protecting newbies from dying is distance and cover.  And maybe a Defender (but unlikely for newbies).

EDIT:

Add to that list noob team-mates that block my GAUSS snipe shot.  Hard to believe in a map the size of Dusseldorf I-D-I-O-T team-mates will still find a way.

Chegamos a algumas conclusões e, desta vez, faremos algumas mudanças opostas.

this experiment is not cool, i'm mobile i don't have a computer anymore with this experiment it's hard to do daily missions, it's also you downgraded the free pass you removed the paintings from the 18th mission and a change i just want to say this because instead  more players you are pushing the players back to the battle system as before it was much better without lags and without difficulties

Hello!

I really never, ever ,ever post at formus, but this 'test' got me really annoyed so I have to :)

I played this game since the twins were OP (I think it was around 2013) and it was fun to play with it. Since then twins were apperently nerfed the game became harder, but still fun when you get closer and wreak havoc into the enemy lines. I've spent a lot of crystals into this turrent and a medium hull for this purpose. But now with this 'tes't, things have changed!!!

1. With larger maps and 16vs16 you get a lot of drugged sniper campers (shaft, railgun, gauss), that you don't have a chance to come close, unless you use the double armour (one shot kill from different locations even like 5s from respawn)

2. At CTF and Rugby (when you are in enemy teritory) or siege and CP on some points (like on high bridge) it's impossible to stay alive for more than 5s because of all the players with long range weapons and almost one shot kills.

3. Because of bigger number of players and larger maps the close up weapons and light hulls became obsolete. I used shaft and mamoth close to respawn and had 5 to 1 K/D ratio, but it wasn't as fun for me as going into a mosh pit :)

4. 16vs16 can cause a lot of fps for people with low-end/older computers.

Options how to optimise your 'test':

1. In matchmaking battles, put people in big maps like 14v14, middle maps 10vs10 and andn small maps 6vs6, or something like that, and you don't ever know in which you are going to end up in.

2. Have an option in garage to set profiles so I can change in the game quickly (big map profile: mamoth and shaft + mechanic drone; middle map: viking and twins + assult drone; small map: hornet and firebird + defence drone; etc....)

3. If you leave you will use the big maps in the future...than you NEED to give advatage to close range weapons to make a difference when they come close....buff them up considerably.

I just think that if you leave the game with the bigest maps and 16vs16, I think, you will just breed a generation of camping snipers.

Make machmaking more random...

You will never know, if you get droped on a smalll map with mamoth and a shaft, or with a hornet and a firebird on a giant map. Then the players would need to adapt to different styles, hulls and weapons ;)

Just don't go in this direction...Let people play with the style they choose ;)

The 16 v. 16 is really not the most fun way to play this game. I have enjoyed the game much less in this setting because it is almost impossible for you to score points in Capture the Flag and actually impossible to do in Siege. I played a ton of games in Siege yesterday and most games were total shutouts against the attackers. While I do think that it is ok to have more players on the field 16 v. 16 is not at all a fun format and if it keeps like this I will be leaving this game.

Love the current experiment of 16v16. It has been so nice to see maps full again. reminds me of old tanki days. wish the battle time had increase a few more minutes per battle. I approve of adding more players to maps! It has been great!

Yes, me too. There could be some tweaks like fewer ppl in mid-small maps and longer games overall, but it certainly is making the game feel more like it did in the old days
