Seriously?  That's the answer you are going with? Players want to know specifics.  Like... does stun last shorter but make you drop a flag?   And with cryo available to smoky why is paralyze even needed?

 

And on the subject - cryo and incendiary smokys do not have critical.  So what damage is nerfed with the update?

That would take a long time.  20+ hrs per week.  And you likely get... more supplies.

And not doing missions means you are giving up a lot of supplies and crystals and ... containers.

I'm disappointed that no effort was made to explain the new Smoky critical hit chance accumulation mechanic. The Patch Note was very vague and, now that we see the critical chance numbers, make even less sense. I'm expecting them to leave us in the dark for, say, a month or two before making a chance that vaguely gives us a hint at how it works.

My smoky looks like a ? now, with eyes on a strange place... And they killed the smoky's key feature... The critical hit.

Can't kill anyone in time anymore. Especially the already almost unstoppable paying players ...

Because the Tanki designers only have one development method: Trial and error.... It is a fundamental method of problem-solving. It is characterized by repeated, varied attempts which are continued until success, or until the practicer stops trying. Unfortunately for us, they never stop trying ?

A month are two, your very, very optimistic.

I want to no why xp/cry hasn't been sorted yet, i'm expecting an answer by say the year 2950........give or take a couple of hundred years.

When Thunder HD is released, I hope it will have more augments that do heavy and deadly splash damage.

Also, shot colors would be required for Thunder as well as Smoky.

I simply cannot wait to see a special effect added to Freeze, Firebird and Isida. Those melee turrets needs improvements on their visual effects. The Freeze sound effect needs to become louder and sharper. Firebird needs a blue flame effect for MK7 and MK8 modification simply because of the visual effects of higher temperature. Isida needs proper visual effects for damaging enemies and healing allies.

Realy???? Smoky looks like a ? now, with eyes on the side of its head and croaking with every shot. Shouldn't the developers invest in a more balanced game play, instead of useless augments and animated turrets???

The next week or so is going to be terrible for Smoky players. The developers have hyped up Smoky (new skin, augments, missions) so that players start using Smoky protection, while simultaneously nerfing the critical hit rate and introducing a projectile that reduces effectiveness at range.

I would really appreciate it if the popularity of one piece of equipment or another would stop being artificially inflated through events such as these. The quality of matches decreases significantly.

I'm getting used the different mechanics (and surprising people with assault rounds is funny), but I resent my favorite turret being hyped up and getting so much attention

Things were getting bad enough with the stupid Autocannon becoming available at all ranks and given away in a recent challenge, but now, urgh...

Most likely Mk1 = 0.2 and Mk7+ = 0.4

All marks in between would be a steady increase from 0.2 to 0.4 - before the update it was like as below

So, to those that know:  Has a stock Smoky's reload time been slowed down?  Has a stock Smoky's critical hit chance decreased?  Overall was a stock Smoky sightly nerfed?

I'm not asking about a Smoky with some sort of augmentation...just a standard out-of-the-box Smoky.

From my experience, it seems like it was pushed in a different direction, where surviving for extended periods of time with Smoky becomes more rewarding than before the conversion.

Stock Smoky's critical hit mechanic feels like a feedback loop now. It takes a little effort to get the first critical, but the subsequent criticals are easier. So it would look something like this:

 

Spawn - normal - normal - normal - normal - normal - Critical - normal - normal - normal - Critical - normal - Critical - normal - normal - Critical - normal - normal - Critical - normal - normal - Critical - normal - normal - Critical - normal - normal - normal - Critical

 

So it seems like staying alive longer with Smoky and having great accuracy considerably increases your damage output. Unfortunately, this also makes Autocannon very strong at close range with all of the critical hits it gets. One thing to note with Autocannon is at some point, you'll have to wait around 6-8 normal shots before another critical hit. Weird but that's probably how the critical hit accumulation mechanic works with something of that rate of fire.

As there is on augment that guarantee a hit every 4 shots, this seems to be the average in normal mode.
But, as the chance increase with the stock, it means that at lower makr it will take more shoot to get a critical (so probably more than 4 shots will happens more often), while at M7+ it will happens more often (probably less than 4 shots will happens more often). Therefore «Sorted Ammunition» is more interesting for owner of Smoky with low Mark.
I don't think the odd have changed much compared to before, it is just different calculation that allow the creation of the new augment.
