Smoky HD and new augments

Thanks for updating the Wiki Skins page to add HD skins.

Does HD skins already exist for Hopper, Crusader and Ares? If so, then why didn't you inform us in the V-Log? You need to mention somewhere that HD skins already exist for Hopper, Crusader and Ares. Please say so. I did not know that those HD skins already existed for those three hulls.

The skins for Hopper, Crusader, and Ares are already "HD" by default.

One thing that I am saying is why did developers not mention that in the latest V-Log episode?

HD skins are simply replacements for the current lower quality skins - they are not a separate skin series akin to XT or Ultra. Hopper, Crusader, and Ares never had any "low quality" skins to replace in the first place, so there was no reason to mention anything.

Then what's the point?  Cryo would be way better as it lasts longer.

On the subject of smoky augments - can someone clarify what damage is actually nerfed for cryo and incendiary?  They do not have critical hits though the WIKI (and webpatch notes) indicate the "critical" damage is getting a nerf.

Well it stuns for 3 seconds I think, and during that you cannot move, so it is better than cryo in that when someone gets hit with cryo rounds, they can fight back. With this, you're frozen in place. Ignoring stun and cold immunity augments of course. Though I must say, the actual chances of a critical hit with the stun augment seem lower than those of cryo rounds.

Most likely Mk1 = 0.2 and Mk7+ = 0.4

All marks in between would be a steady increase from 0.2 to 0.4 - before the update it was like as below

Smoky

Мk2 | MU Icon.png
Мk3 | MU Icon.png
Мk4 | MU Icon.png
Мk5 | MU Icon.png
Мk6 | MU Icon.png
Мk7 | MU Icon.png
Мk7+
Critical chance (%)
11.5
13.5
14.9
16.0
17.0
17.9
18.9
20.2

Most likely an increase of 1.8 to 2.2 for each stock upgrade.

This is what I suspect, but I would like some official numbers.

Wiki has been updated recently. Those numbers are of the chance step parameter, whatever that is.

It's very likely Smoky has some sort of incremental increases in critical chance now. That would explain why it can now get two criticals within 3 shots. I presume that the maximum critical chance parameter is how high a Smoky's critical chance can become, and the chance step is how quickly it reaches to that.

What is the last row on bottom chart?

5 seconds?   That is nuts!   Hunter's stun is 3 seconds and it has to be within 25m - and that's an OD, not something you can apply every 6 or 7 seconds.

read the wiki, stats have been updated. The Smokey-stun augment stuns for the regular 3 seconds and i believe it does not make the enemy drop flags nor the rugby ball. Also, the chance for a critical hit seems to have been decreased to 50% of default Smokey.

Paralyzing Rounds
Smoky Paralyzing Rounds.png
Replacement for the standard cumulative shots with paralyzing rounds. Critical hits will deal decreased damage but will immobilize the target.

Stun duration: 3s Plus.png
Critical damage: -50% Minus.png
Critical chance: -50% Minus.png

  Reveal hidden contents

comparing it with supercumulative rounds, which also has it's critical shot chance decreased - we can say that those stunning shots will not be as frequent or predictable as default smokey.

Supercumulative rounds
Alteration smoky supercumulative rounds.png
Supercumulative shots appear in the ammo clip even more rare than the "regular" cumulative rounds, but the damage from such rounds is also much greater. The damage from critical shots is increased because of the reduced critical rate.

Critical damage: +50% Plus.png
Critical chance: -60%

Wasn't me who suggested 5 seconds...

I'd say cryo is more useful.  You can only fiht back if you are facing an enemy when hit.

My bad! It's actually 3 seconds.

At_Shin noted that.

I still don't understand the cryo and incendiary (-) for damage.  They don't have critical hits so how can that receive a nerf?

Guys why HD? HD was a hot word in 2012 in Youtube videos and in other games, but now we're in 2021 HD is such an old resolution and it does not keep up with the modern era.

Why you don't make it FHD or 4K it's better than old fusty HD

ig it's coz the skin is only of an HD resolution and not of a Full HD or 4k resolution.

If everyone was equipping 4k skins in battles then i'm sure the client will crash over and over again, no matter how good your PC stats are ...

When will the next HD skin be released?

We don't know yet, they will probably announce it in one of the upcoming V-Logs.

I'd like saying HD rather than FHD

As far as I know tanks are not TVs

I think HD just means high resolution, as opposed to the previous skins of lower resolutions, and not the HD designation like used on TVs.

Also think on the different sizes of tanks.

If Smoky was a true 720p-HD, a Wasp would be like 2K, a Mammoth would be 4K, and the game 8K.
