We've waited a whole 16 months for them to release Ares (1 year and 4 months), so I think you're wrong there. It was first announced in a February 2019 V-Log that we will be getting a new hull after NINE YEARS of waiting, and it was released last year on the Tanki's Birthday celebration in early access, where it was later added for crystals (and later for free on the mobile version). But yes, Tesla has had a very long wait between when it was first announced and when it will be released for everyone (in the garage).

Personally, I think Tesla will be nerfed massively when it gets released, just because of its extreme damage output right now. It's basically an Isida that firstly cannot heal others, and secondly can zap multiple enemies at once. Either that or nerf its energy recharge from like 1 second to 1.75 or 2 seconds. It power-creeps Firebird and Freeze, also a lot of the 2 second reload weapons like Smoky. If it gets released to everyone (which it will in due time), it will be nerfed.

It should stay in Ultra Containers if they want to keep interest in this turret. Just have the module available to everyone like it is now. Tesla might go by way of the Vulcan Incendiary Band when coupled with Heat Immunity. Incendiary Band was made available to everyone and it was very powerful, indeed. The numbers of players using the IB+HI combination was growing to where I've seen half the total number were using it in battle. And since it's nerf, no one is using it - or using it to any great effect like before, for that matter.

But hey, it's their call.

Are you suggesting that few players now using Incendiary Brand is a bad thing, compared to how it was before? This change was long overdue and one the best changes they have made, gameplay has become noticeably better since the horrific Incendiary Brand/Heat Immune scourge has been purged from Tanki. And I have still seen quite a few using Incendiary Brand with Heat Resistance (and doing well with it), plus more than a few using other Vulcan augments such as RAT and Adrenaline with Heat Immunity. So this change has left Vulcan, Incendiary Brand and overall gameplay in a good state - what is there to complain about? This is a good change that you should be celebrating, I don't see any reason for complaint.

And as for keeping Tesla in Ultra Containers, well you're just speaking from a very biased perspective as a buyer. Going up to Ultra-exclusive turrets which are more powerful will take the game further into P2W territory - and it can not afford to go further in that direction than it has already in the last 2 years. If Tesla is balanced, it can be a fine addition to turrets and just as interesting as all the other turrets are now.

Tesla is in ultra containers for now, but this does not mean that this is permanent. Tesla will soon be released in the garage just like it did with the three hovering hulls we had at the end of last year in 2020. With that being said, this means that Tesla is supposed to be released in players garages after the early access ends. This early access period of the Tesla turret has been very long, lasting more than a month. However, this does not matter since Tesla will come to the garage soon. We do not know how soon, but what we know is "soon" at some point in time.

It would not no fun if Tesla were to remain in ultra containers permanently, as players would want to buy it for crystals. This means that at some point in time, after the grace period of the early access expires, Tesla will officially be released to the garage. We shall all be announced that maybe in the next episode of the V-Log. Don't worry! We shall see.

The same thing is supposed to happen with the BONK "Sledgehammer" turret. This Sledgehammer turret will first be released into ultra containers as an early access grace period. Then after this early access grace period ends, the sledgehammer BONK turret shall then be release as an official garage update release. Please folks be patient as it takes time for turret to transition from early access stages to official garage releases, just like in the similar way as Windows 10 and 11 builds are delivered as Canary, Dev, Beta then stable releases.

I hope that I have made myself clear for all of you players to understand how turrets transition from one release phase to another.

I agree with both changes, Tesla really only needs a base damage per shot nerf or a normal shot reload nerf, one or the other.

I personally would just nerf the damage down to maybe 600 or 700 per shot.

It is not true that I like everything that developers does. In the past, I did complain about updates where extreme nerfing to Isida and other turrets was made. However, I do like and support the idea for new turrets and hulls being released from time to time. If you do not like Tesla, then do not buy it.

I don’t think anyone’s going to be happy when it’s reased, half the map will be Tesla’s making it unplayable unless you’re camping on your own side, matches will be 0-0 constantly as I can’t see anyone breaking through a wall of Tesla’s.
Only option is devs nerf it upon release but then all the F2P will be in uproar as they haven’t been able to use it at its max strength

Month in early stage just tells they only want money nothing else, we arent allowed to have new things too.

Tbh, I did find it weird at the time how short the early access period was for Hopper and Crusader. It didn't feel meaningful, more like they were just trying something new to see if it stuck.

I thought I would never get to Legend from Marshal considering the limited time I have for playing. When IB+HI came along, I shredded my way through the ranks in no time like a hot knife going through a bar of butter. This and the increase of xp without adjusting the rank requirement scale also made it possible. I do believe they will nerf Tesla to the point it may only branch out to ONE other target and the damage will be heavily reduced. It's always been the pattern with the new turrets. Enjoy it while you can in its current state.

Well that's cool, but I don't think the fact that some players have limited time to play, justifies the existence of totally OP combos - so that they can use those to dominate everyone else and rank up fast. Also, players with a lot of time to play can also use these combos and ruin the game for everyone else 24/7 - as was the case with Heat Immunity/IB. It is a very good thing that it was nerfed, and it improved the game significantly when it was.

Having things which are totally OP and destroy the gameplay of other combos (especially with items which are only or much more easy to obtain by paying only - which was somewhat the case with Heat Immunity, although it was also obtainable via containers).

Do you folks like this BONK turret?

Do you thing that Tesla and BONK would be released in the garage simultaneously or separate?

Would you consider using them?

bad news (from test server)

they are adding a 3rd rocket to ''ML uranium'' alt

good news (if i wasn't wrong)

the damage bonus is reduced

Was it more than 50% before?

I bought uranium alt on 50% sale and it had three rockets in the salvo and 50% more damage from the start.

(as well as -40% reload after salvo which practically makes it a 4 rocket salvo.)

For all the people saying that tesla is balanced because if there are 2-3 people fighting it it only does 33-50% damage that's ridiculous.

If its a 2-3v1 the 1 should always lose! besides if a rail is fighting 2 people it can only shoot one of them at once aka 50% damage...

I've had situations where the tesla has still destroyed all three of us, this is not a balanced turret!!!!

Everyone knows it is imbalance. There are only two exception I see so far. One is a fool and the other one is an owner of the Tesla.

I didn't even realize the "Bonk" was going to be introduced into the game lol.

Why doesn't the "bonk" match the tanks color? it looks terrible. (I would use the bonk if it matched the color of my tank)
