Many times on the mobile version, the electric balls can't connect with my weapon electricity, do you have the same problem?

Here is a video of me using it. Did it happen here?

Spoiler

If not, can you explain what exactly happens to you a bit more?

Your GS is not that high so it could be that your chain balls are too far from you or each other to connect to. I did see you connect to one chain ball.

Yep. It's just as numericable said. I am just a mod. I am not privy to such information about new updates.

Pretty sure Riddler_8 knows this and is just being up to mischief:tongue:

Does anyone know how Viking's Overdrive effects Tesla? From what I've seen, all it does is increase the damage.

There's something important in using Viking's OD with Tesla. You cannot send out chain balls while Viking's OD is activated. Before activating OD, send out your chain ball(s) first. Otherwise, your OD won't do much good.

How to make Tesla more acceptable to players:

Everytime it electrocutes another tank it should say Pikachuuu!

It does connect. You cannot visually see lightning connect, until it makes contact with an enemy tank. It is the same with the PC version of the game.

I'm not experiencing the problem he is experiencing, assuming we're talking about the same thing. That's why I recorded a video. It sounds like his chain lightning couldn't connect to the nearest ball, which is what I showed in the video a few times that it's working fine for me.

We also don't need this. It's nice to see Tesla be unique, being the only turret whose ammo bar doesn't empty out.

Although, guess what? Tesla doesn't really have unlimited ammo anyway. Each shot needs 0.9 seconds to reload, which is long enough to count as a "reload" lol. Smoky's reload is only like half a second longer.

vulcan too it has endless ammo but limited by overheat (you will understand more if you equip heat immunity

twins also has fast reload when it's maxed

At 4:52 for example you throw an eletric ball and your turret is connecting with it to kill the ennemy when he is hiding, when i do it, my turret does not connect with the ball, for example i shoot the ball and follow it but it seems that the turret act just like if the ball is too far away when im just behind it, and when there is an ennemy it just dont damage him as well, the other firing mode is working fine tho.

Ps: it doesn't happen in your video, i watched it till the end

Question: Do you use Tesla with auto-shoot?

Yes i do, everytime i play with auto shoot

There is your problem. And this is why I keep telling people manual aiming is superior for most turrets.

Tesla with auto-shoot only shoots when an enemy is highlighted, I.e within 22 metres if your Tesla is Mk7+. It does not interact with the ball. The button you see on the right hand side with Auto-shoot Tesla is to shoot the ball and not to chain electricity through it.

If you're adamant about using auto-shoot with Tesla, then enable double tap to fire. You press the button to shoot the ball, and then double tap near the button to shoot at the ball. In the video I was using manual aiming.

Can you try if it works well with auto shoot? Because sometimes it does and sometimes not, i dont think that its a problem of auto shooting, sometimes when there are no ennemie the ball connect with the weapon and sometimes not, it connects 1/3 of the times, anyways i'll try it without auto shoot and let you know

I tried it without auto shoot and everything is fine, i hope that they would fix the bug with tesla in auto shoot mode

I see what you mean now.

Good. Now try out other turrets (besides Vulcan and melee turrets) with manual aiming. You'll see that auto-shoot is effective but also a handicap.

I recon turrets gets released in August. Is this true for most turret releases? Tesla is know as the summer holiday turret because it was released in August 2021.

Well, yeah, that's the thing..

Vulcan has limited ammo because of the overheat.

Twins has to be careful because it can do self-damage.

Tesla has no downsides to its infinite ammo at all.

That's the only hull augment I use :)

Also, I don't really consider Heat Immunity to be a "part of Vulcan". It's more of a legal-hack to hack the game without getting in trouble and give Vulcan infinite ammo as well as pay the developers money for doing so.

Then why are you against reworking Tesla into a turret that consumes energy like the other melee turrets?

Because...

  1. Its unique. I don't get why suddenly in recent months, all the turrets have to have the same characteristics (same range, same damage, same critical hit mechanics, etc)
  2. Why not just nerf the base damage?

Yeah agree, nerfing the base damage should be the most obvious, straightforward way to balance it, unless the Devs decided to bring out that "It's not that simple" theory.

With the current ranges that don't make sense, at least for me, the web is unpredictable, and what you do then? you just keep pressing the spacebar, unafraid of emptying the tank(battery), until you light up the web and kill one or two.

If the ranges made sense, one can control what happens better.

But I think the way it is could be to make players waste more RKs.

Yeah, it's really that simple lol.

Tesla has more range than Isida, Firebird, Freeze? Then give it a damage per second output that's lower than those three turrets :)

They're probably gonna buff Isida, Firebird, and/or Freeze to insane levels of power instead, to be "equal" with Tesla lol.

Same thing they did with Railgun, Striker, and Shaft in recent months instead of just nerfing the Gauss...

And boom, damage increases and we all die faster unless we invest in a 4th protection module or a Defender Drone or one of those "multi-immunity hull augments" that may be added soon.
