declined New Augment for Gauss - God Salvo

This controversial Augment idea will be offer or Ultra Container exclusive. 

How this Augment will work will be quite interesting, annoying, but not overpowered.

What it will do.

It will apply the following Status Effects with displayed time, and it's drawbacks.

• Burning - 2 seconds
• EMP - 2 seconds
• AP - 2 seconds
• Stun - 1 second
• Jammer - 2 seconds
• Sniping reload -50%
• Damage Reduction -33%

 

Most will be concerned about the 3, Stun, AP, and EMP. So let's break it down.

Electromagnetic Salvo, and Armor-Piercing Salvo has their effect duration of 5 seconds. Making it long enough to fire a second salvo WHILE the effect is still active. 

Now with God Salvo, as mentioned, it lasts for TWO seconds. Meaning, as a user, you will not have enough time to get a second salvo shot. The whole purpose is to leave them extremely vulnerable for a short time and give a small window for them to be destroyed with normal shots. It will also be risky to use this Augment, because the damage reduction is even greater than EMP or AP Salvo.

Now, being affected by this Augment. You will be Stunned for only ONE second and not two, when stunned, you get an instant alarm that you are in danger, but if you manage to survive the Gauss player's shot, you can quickly hide and claim a repair Kit. If you are EMPed during cooldown, you get your Supplies back in 2 seconds, rather wait a normal 30 seconds

Why I am thinking this would be a cool Augment. Status diversity, and it is simply cool to apply this many Status Effects at a time, (although it doesn't last long), and because of the new upcoming Paladin Hull, with the new Status Immunity effect.

 

To summarize this; applies nearly all Status Effects, doesn't last long and the point is them vulnerable enough to make a quick kill with normal shots. The effect durations are not as long as EMP or AP, so you will not have enough time to constantly deliver Status Effects. If your target survives, you actually end up helping them than helping yourself.

All status effects, even if it is for 2-3 seconds is lethal. I am on fire, my armor is down, my protection modules are down and I am paralyzed = I am literally a free kill.

Though the user of this augment might not get the kill, I am a sitting duck.

Oh god no! Gauss is already the easiest turret to use and it has high domination rates especially in beginner and low ranks. Also its bad enough that it has an EMP status augment that disables supplies. This would just break the balance.

I could do a whole essay on why this idea is a bad one.

Well, lets see what they think then. My guess is that they'd rather not deal with unnecessary topics, since they aren't being taken with a bit of seriousness. But again, lets see what they think.
