Paladin was released! Let's discuss this hull!

Garage Description:

Spoiler

Medium hull. It hovers over the ground and can move on any surface without any problems. Overdrive's effect is applied in a range around the hull, polarizing tanks' armor. Ally tanks get immunity from some of the status effects and are continuously repairing. Vice versa, enemies get status effects applied.

The «Paladin» hover tank was created as a support tank to assist assault groups for which maintaining the speed of the group is essential. Unlike heavy hulls, Paladin has the medium version of armor and uses the second generation of antigravs. These changes let it follow light hulls. The way it supports them is by activating its polarizer. Its effect lasts for a long time and looks like an aura around the tank that charges armor (and they say that not only armor but also water bottles) with a positive effect. Polarized armor better resists from extraordinary methods of affecting tank equipment, saving you from a lot of trouble. From eyewitness accounts, polarized water protects from exotic methods of injuring from inside the tank. We are not completely sure what kind of exotic methods of injuring these tankers are talking about.

Paladin was recently released to ultra containers. Let's discuss the new hulls! @RIDDLER_8 got the hull early and can share some photos.  Please share some riddler!

There's a format to these "Let's Discuss..." topics. Description, statistics and stuff like that. You can check the others ones to look at how they are formatted.

So would be nice if you do all that, as soon as the info is out in Wiki. ? Just a friendly reminder.

To talk about discussing paladin , about seeing it in  live on how it works, i think it needs a major nerf  first with the range of applying effects(AP and jammer) and healing & second the magnitude of healing to oneself , its considered as a support hull , if it also heals itself quickly then it  proves to have more advantage for the user .

From B.A.B.I's video, I have to agree. Otherwise you could really dominate with OD

What does its Od do practically

Heals teammates, anti negative status effects to nearby teammates and AP and jammer to enemies in range.

It will be interesting to see if this hull becomes the main choice for support roles. I have typically thought of hornet or hunter or dictator as those but maybe this will be the new choice

I guess the main factor will be if the support player plays with keyboard or mouse.
Also, I haven’t looked into it but if you don’t get experience when using the OD people might as well stick with dictator

I think it has a very interesting overdrive. Instead of Dictator(Which acts as a repair kit), Paladin acts as a multi-target Isida. Both hulls are similar, but different at the same time. I think that's pretty cool.

I also think the best turret that would go best with Paladin is Isida.

Tesla is the turret that fits in best with Paladin because of both their looks. That is a super cool combo look. I votes Tesla on this thread to go best with the Paladin hull. Paladins overdrive is very interesting because it heals allies like Isida does. The only problem is that when using Paladin's overdrive to heal allies, I do not earn any experience points. This is not fair and developers should do something about it.

I feel like all the fears around this new hull are not quite justified. It seems too strong because it's new and we've yet to learn to counter it. Meanwhile, I would say that a titan dome with AP immune tanks underneath it is far more problematic. Now, a combo of titan and paladin ODs is practically invincible, however that requires proper timing and teamplay to execute, which this hull appears to encourage - I believe that is a good thing. This way, team battles really will become a competition based on whom can cooperate better. On another note, until now we've had no real counter to a Hornet with a freeze or tesla. It wasn't fair to wasp, titan or dictator for example, all of which can get crippled by hunter. Well, now both hornet and hunter have something they can't steamroll. Personally, I think paladin's appearance is healthy for the game's balance. The only slight nerf it really needs would be how quickly it's OD charges up imo.
PS; if you're unhappy about a Paladin with a melee turret grinding you to a paste, then I have a fine suggestion for You - try to keep your distance. Just like you don't wanna get close and personal with a hornet going awooga or a Magnum/Gauss launching a barrage thanks to Viking, you don't want to get too close to a Paladin with it's OD up unless you are immune to AP (or Jammer if your own OD is your plan of counterattack) and are confident that you can out-damage it's healing in time.
