The length of a battle does not determine whether or not someone is a no-lifer or not.

I personally enjoy longer battles, but I'm not a no lifer.

I agree with you, however, that specific player is asking for 1 hour MM battles, so sinister is right about what he said. I personnaly prefer short battle because it fits better to any situation (bus, work, week end) when you are short on time, if you know MM is about 7 min you will still find time to complete missions, but if they are 15 mins, it will be harder to find time.

I missed the part where they said hour long battles, my fault. I agree, battles should not be that long.

I can’t relate to being short on time, usually I play Tanki when I have hours of free time, I’m not the type to squeeze in one more game before doing something productive. Plus, I have an iPhone so I can’t play Tanki on the bus. Though, I understand what you mean, I don’t think battles should be too long, but they shouldn’t be too short either.

Join big map with seige or asl mode

one side team will end in 7 min if you dont fight actively

or small map ctf , it ends in 3 min if your enemy lucky to have criss, especially during russian time

in both cases buyers team (or at least buyers are active) vs non buyers will also make matchs shorter

Seriously?

We should have short battles because you can't hold off until you get home from WORK?

And how do shorter battles fit better in a week-end?  How do you possibly not have 10 or 12 min to play a battle on the weekend?

I agree with short battles. The best thing to do would be to choose how long matchmaking battles last prior to entering them. That would solve the problem with battle length.

Wait what? A second ago you said "let's have battles that are an hour long." Now you want short battles?

I did not say that I wanted short battles. I only said that I agreed with the point about short battles. To be honest with you, I prefer long battles that lasts 1 hour during weekend events. Eerie yay!

Well yeah that's fair. Mea culpa.

Honestly, an hour is much too long in my mind. No one has time for that. And we'd have to get a goal of, like 200 kills, or 20 goals, you name it. It would be much too complicated.

I guess you wanted to quote me. As i said, it FITS to ANY situations. I only play tanki online when i am at home BUT i already witnessed people playing PUBG mobile on the bus and i know some people also played it instead of doing their works, (like waiting for a customer to arrive in hotel for example). What is better, 7 mins games that can fit to any situations or 15 minutes games that couln't fit very well, except if they mult/leave when the client arrive or when they get to their station, when the teacher come if they are in the school? That would cause some OG's tanki problem with 10vs 6 or so.

What's wrong?

The big lag that occurs only in friday when they ask to download an update, many players have this, idk if you do? However, i play on a good phone device and have always 60 fps when the fund/exp isn't boosted

7 minute battles blow.  Half of them are decided in the first 2 min.

I really don't care about the people who have to squeeze in a game at work.  They probably end up multing anyway - or deserting the battle when... "the client walks in".  And I can just see the player at his desk in school - holding up a finger for the teacher to wait until he/she is finished their battle.  Yeah.... right....

Maybe the buses you've ridden are deserted due to covid.  When things back to normal there's not a chance a person can play a decent game on the super-crowded buses I've ridden.

As a player, you don't care about  these players but for developers' point of view, it is better to adapt the game for anyone. Then about the player who played instead of doing this work, it was on pubg mobile, he told me he was hiding to do it and it is pretty frequent to do these kind of things in India, AND i was playing pubg when there was before covid-19 was known.( i dont from india btw but i know lot of tanki players are from india, also India government's policy banned PUBG after 2 years because of this XD). And yes, kids can play tanki at their school pause, what's the problem, when i was in the school the pause last exactly 15 minutes, so it is perfect for a 7 minutes game, but a bit short for a 15 min (because of the time to open the appli, check missions, eventually change the mission if it a too hard, then time to wait in the queue, load into the battle, and eventually leave the battle in the MM system threw you into a bad one). Also, i dont know about your country's buses, but mines have chair so we can do whatever we want on the phone, i personally never done it because i need to concentrate when im playing, and listening music in these case are more appropriate, but i've seen a stranger who sat next to me on the bus once, he was doing a "sniper mode" in pubg that's a mode that last the shortest, while the longest last for 35 mins, i didnt mind checking the stranger's phone because he was a teenage.

I don't notice anything like this. I lag because there are special missions and the presence of groups generates large maps constantly.

The problem is ... in all of your examples the players are in <<<<<< than ideal situations, and in all likelihood would be distracted and just terrible team-mates.  I'm pretty sure I've had all the examples you describe I've played with - no wonder I keep getting slotted into awful teams.  They're all "hiding to do it".    ?‍♂️

With 12 or 15 minute battles, however, the fate of a battle is ambiguous at the early stages

You make this sound like a bad thing - not knowing how a battle will end 2 min in.   ?‍♂️

Just another example, I joined a CTF battle yesterday with 1-0 in favour of the enemy team. I was too lazy to leave the battle and try again, so I decided to play along. As soon as the battle moved further, the hopper crisis in their team capped 2 more flags, and it was 3-0. I was quite sure of the fact how the battle would end, but I was surprised to know see my teammates who were camping before , charging with full force. Not only did we win by 7-3, all of us scored a decent amount of crystals.

My whole point of this shenanigan is to tell that long battles allow the tide of the battle to be changed at any instant, which allows the player to play at its fullest, so I suggest to everyone not to lose hope if u see a 9999 GS in your enemy team and try your best.

This is exactly why I like the longer battles better. Stuff can happen. Campers can get bored. Hopper/Crisis users can get disconnected. It's more exciting.

That being said, if the battle is too long, it gets boring. So I'll say it again, 10-12 minutes is best.
