Overdrive reload bar

Hi, I feel it's a good thing if the OD reload-bar was visible for all. Now we only have the star icon after the OD become ready, but my suggestion is to make a reload bar indicator visible all the time like this  ZwFU9iR.png

Why? It's mostly useful in Juggernaut, many times I go fiercely attacking the Juggernaut and I get surprised that his OD become ready in a seconds. It's a farce. So I think the reload icon will be a good idea. And it will also have another usages in battles, but not as important in Juggernaut.

The old version I was suggesting it will be as an advantage for Hornet OD.. Now I suggest it to become a standard thing

Well first, in the light of recent events, the Hornet OD has suffered quite a lot of setbacks so i cant do nothing except agree to the idea which supports its OD ?

Secondly, well this idea is certainly good, I readily agree from that example of yours. The most useful feature of this update would itself be in the Jugg mode in case of juggernaut's OD from players Point of View and viking OD's from the Juggernaut point of View as i would kill that enemy first which has the has OD ready(or almost full in this case)  and it can be beneficial in other modes such as CTF, rugby etc. 

Let's hear other's opinion.

I also think you should always be able to see your own teammates' OD charge. This is useful in many situations, but most of all in two: 1) Seeing if it's worth waiting a few seconds if a teammate Dictator is about to get full charge, and 2) Seeing if a nearby teammate has less OD charge than you, so you should let him take the OD box.

Or like reintroduce the R, V check? It would certainly be helpful, but if this is added, I hope there is a toggle for it. I don't need more text and distractions on my screen. 

I highly dislike the battle notifications returning to the middle, where all the action is. I think, do I want to read, or do I want to battle?

Meh, hornet is balanced as is. Besides this idea would be complicated to implement. Would require a lot of time, effort, and resources.

Also it would be pointless since its yet another indicator that they would have to look out for, and no one would really use it.

I'm not confused. I just don't think hornet needs anymore abilities. It already has the following:

- inflicts AP status onto nearby enemies.

- gives itself supercharge effect.

- reveals all enemies locations.

- reveals enemies HP.

Let me get this straight,  about 7-8 months ago Hornet was considered one of the most useful ODs, with its abilities to completely overlook any drone supply effect, armour etc.

Then came the famous AP update only because of hornet, and the nerf hapenned is one of the biggest nerfs of the decades. Now instead of the whole duration of OD, it now applies a 7 sec AP which provides a whole change in  playing mechanics for the hornet players.

Then came the crit update, which used to give crit every time OD is activated but for 7 sec, but I tell you, unless it is a short range turret or a long range one with specific alt, u can't even fully utilize the whole 7 sec. 

Then at least the XP combo remained somewhat playable, whatever big the map is. But then came another unnecessary update of applying AP at a short distance.  Now  let's say in a stadium battle, I can't even apply the AP across one end to another, just till somewhat in the middle.

All was well, I still thought of playing for some time, but then came ANOTHER UPDATE !!! of AP range being reduced to 50m only, so now the OD is useless in almost any situation.

The advantage OD revealing location is a battle is not all golden now, considering more open and long range battle maps are there.

But do u  think that is all, not quite my friend.

Then came another Update of the AP duration being reduced to only 3 sec, which allows almost nothing to be happened. The fact that we could compete with the titan dome is far gone now. If the enemy has defender or even a decent prot against us while we have Hornet equipped, there is almost nothing useful to do.

So to summarize it all, Hornet isn't even 1% of what it was used to be so any update which can somewhat support it, is better IMO.

NOTE:- Sorry for the whole essay, I was a past hornet user all my time, this was my favourite hull and these updates hit me hard. ?

Oh. Well then just increase its AP duration back to 9 seconds. It was fine there.

Guys I edited the topic, to make it as a standard visible icon all the time. Not as a Hornet OD thing. I'm not sure if this change is allowed, but I think it's not too far from the original idea.

Another thing, by changing the name to just "Overdrive reload Bar" do you wish this change to be applied to all hulls in general or just hornet?

Like the star icon now after the enemy OD become ready, you can see it always. Saying applied to all hulls isn't practically accurate, because you can see it if you was spectator. Like the supplies you can see it always, I mean the overdrive reload bar will become visible all the time.

I agreed to the previous status of this(merge) because it was a bonus unique to only Hornet as an ability.

Note for forumers: All the discussion so far has been in the light that this was a suggestion to hornet's OD but not a general feature.
