Patch Update #666 - Released 15th October 2021

 

  • Updated Ultra Containers with the new Mk1 Paladin hull in early access and the newly released augment for the Tesla turret — «Shocking Lightning»

    • Tired of opponents destroying you? Need to quickly freeze an enemy? If so, this augment will help you greatly. Technology inherited from Hunter's OD lets the ball of lightning stop fast-moving opponents for a brief period of time.

  • Railgun:

    • Shot reload time (sec) has been decreased from 4,4-2,6 to 3,3-2,6 sec; 

    • Impact force has been increased from 220-650 to 260-780; 

    • Critical hit chance after dealing crit damage has been increased from 10% to 50%.

  • Shaft:

    • Energy per arcade shot (eng) has been decreased from 250 to 0 eng;

    • Sniping shot reload time has been increased from 3-5 to 10 seconds; 

    • Regular Arcade damage (hp) has been decreased from 335-670 to 290-580 hp; 

    • Critical Arcade damage (hp) has been decreased from 490-980 to 340-680 hp;

    • Range of max damage (m) has been increased from 20-30 to 40-60 m; 

    • Range of min damage (m) has been increased from 30-40 to 50-70 m; 

    • Horizontal aiming speed (deg/sec) has been increased from 15-30 to 20-40 deg/sec.

      • The key change here is that arcade shots no longer consume energy. Earlier, both arcade and sniping shots consumed energy. You could only use the arcade shot if you had enough energy to shoot. Now it’s similar to Tesla, where you can still use the arcade mode and deal damage to opponents, but at no cost to the energy, even when the turret is still reloading.

  • Shaft’s «Heavy Capacitors» augment:

    • Sniping shot reload time has been increased by 10%.

  • Shaft’s «Light Capacitors» augment:

    • Sniping shot reload time has been decreased by 10%.

  • Shaft’s «Rapid-Fire Mode» augment:

    • No longer increases sniping shot reload time.

  • «Brutus» drone:

    • Cost of fully upgrading the drone has been decreased from 500 000 to 100 000 crystals.

      • This should make it easier for players to use the main feature of the drone, that is, increasing the strength of the supplies.

  • «Driver», «Trooper», and «Engineer» drones:

    • Cost of fully upgrading each drone has been reduced from 1 000 000 to 500 000 crystals.

      • These drones are now at an intermediary level between «Brutus» and higher level drones. They are weaker, but still consume batteries and enhance the default characteristics of the tank.

  • «Sprinter» drone:

    • Reduction of Speed Boost cooldown has been increased from 5 to 15 seconds.

  • «Supplier» drone:

    • Additional Supplies Active Time has been increased from 5-10 seconds to 5-15 seconds.

  • «Booster» drone:

    • Boosted Damage bonus has been decreased from 25%-50% to 20%-40%.

  • «Trickster» drone:

    • Speed Boost bonus has been increased from 15%-30% to 20%-40%.

  • The map «Archipelago MM» has been removed from the matchmaking pool.

and no nerf to crisis???! smh ,crap, booster is pure crap now, 200% damage for 3 sec was best, not this

I already max Driver drone at 1M old cost,

and Brutus at old 500k cost

at least sooner crystal will be no use after max all drones

What can I say...

  • Rail crit buff is annoying. Means that you can now get double-EMPd or double-stunned by status augments far more often
  • Shaft sniping nerf is justified, but 10 second reload?! I'm not sure if the arcade energy change will be enough to compensate, but will have to try it out. Shaft basically becomes a short range turret with the optional sniping ability. How does rapid fire work with this? New OP meta? ?
  • Drone price decreases very much appreciated! (even if mine are all upgraded)
  • Booster drone nerf very much needed
  • Trickster buff... I honestly don't know if it was necessary, but the extra speed makes it an even more viable alternative for Crisis now.
  • RIP Archipelago, you will (probably) not be missed

at the old prices I would've never upgraded them anyways, nice of you to reduce the price of Brutus because I think every player should at least own the Brutus drone + you made it very cheap and affordable. I may finally max those drones :)

Well I love the change with respect to rail, finally something worthy to our beloved turret, @Ghost_Animator_XP  can agree ?

Time to change the meta combos and bye Archipelago,  I will miss our journey a lot  (i'm just joking)

Well about shaft, I still have to experience that myself in battles tomorrow to check whether it's a buff or nerf given to shaft.

Proof to all that tanki is becoming purposefully unbalanced.

You know, if the game is going down this path, why not make all aspects of the game unbalanced then?

Smoky should be the weakest turret in the game, as it is free and used for beginners. While turrets like Gauss and Striker should be the best.
Viking is the weakest hull - its health should be nerfed down to 2000 (at Mk8), equal with the light hulls but it is slower to justify the hull being used only for beginner matches. The best hulls would be Hopper, Crusader, Paladin, and Ares- those are for the Endgame players.

Archipelago but why you just got it working this week and now it's gone ? boo

only thing I didn't like about it was gold would land on a different Island , opposite from where you were..

Also, decrease the cost of all drones (except brutus) for upgrading without speeds-up from 1 million crystals to 500 000 crystals!

But here's my biggest problem with that type of game style: I'm not able to use equipment that I like whenever I want.

Here me out, I like the designs and functions of most of the drones.

For example, what if... I prefer a drone which has the ability to charge my overdrive (Driver) instead of one that boosts my supplies (Booster, Defender, Trickster)? I wanna be able to use things like Driver Drone in Legend Battles with no "restrictions". And yes, we technically have no restrictions on drones - we can use them whenever we want as long as we have unlocked them, I do understand that.

But the point is, I feel "restricted" when using things such as Brutus or Driver because my chances of winning are significantly lowered due to the developers purposefully making such drones weaker than things like Booster or Crisis. I don't wanna be "forced" to use the same 5 drones again and again in Legend battles in order to win or at the very least, do decently in battles. I like the functions of several of them more than others - not fair that some of the drones I like are weaker than the Meta Drones. Just because Booster is one of the best performing drones doesn't mean I want to use it. Maybe I find the concept of permanently boosting my health and damage by a certain amount (Old Brutus) more interesting and fun than boosting the effect of my double damage, an effect that only lasts temporarily (Booster). And as such, I want to use Old Brutus whenever I want, and I want it to have a relatively equal chance of winning battle skirmishes as someone who has drones such as Booster equipped. 

 

Overall, although we are not prevented from using all the drones, the gameplay feels very "limited and less varied" since a good portion of the drones are not viable in higher ranked. Yes we can use them, but they'll act as cannon fodder for those with the better Drones. So in the end, no one wants to use the "Bad Drones" because they will find it much harder to win than using a "Good Drone. And it sucks too because the developers seem to have spent a lot of time coding and designing drones such as Brutus, Driver, Trooper, yet I find it ironic they worked so hard on those drones yet no one really uses them. So really, all the developers' work has gone to waste and they might as well delete those drones or never made them in the first place if no one is willing to use them besides low leveled players who will either quit the game before unlocking the Good Drones or will just replace the Bad Drone with a Good Drone once they rank up, and ranking is pretty fast nowadays so they're not gonna be stuck with a Trooper Drone for long. 

 

 

The same argument can be made for the Augment system too, only difference is this is more based on money and chance.

Was very surprised by this, it's getting close to crisis in speed, but you can also use armor with it, often much more useful than even higher speed.

Price reduction on some drones was good, maybe reduce the price of other drones as well, proportionally to unlock rank

Stat changes to drones are IMO small, can't tell how much impact they have:

- sprinter felt like a great drone already, just pickup flag and ezgg

- supplier still seems too weak, not sure if changing the duration would be good enough, maybe change it to X% of closest teammates? So if X is 25%, then in 8v8 match, activating supply would give the supply to 2 other teammates. This way it's equally useful in every team size, and this X% could depend on microupgrades, let's say at 0/20 the drone gives supply to 15% of team, while at 20/20, it gives to 20, or 30% of team. When testing this drone after this update dropped, I realized the worst mechanic is it's range or effect. It's so inconvenient to make sure you are within range of drone to use a supply, so why not replace that mechanic with the one I proposed.

I have no idea what shaft and rail changes mean, but shaft seem to be both a short, and long range turret now.

I spent way too much crystals upgrading the now cheaper drones and barely used them. sad

I think most of these changes are justified, considering that most players have mainly been focused on acquiring either booster or defender. However, I have to wonder why nothing has been done about parameters of certain turrets, which are considerably stronger than others, such as vulcan and, out of them all, striker. Have you guys forgot about these two or you purposely keep them untouched. Lastly, I would recommend decreasing the number of supplies booster and defender consume to 2, as booster now gives 40% BD more and defender 50% BA more and it is really disproportionate consumption now as they offer way less benefits than they used to.

 

P.S. How I forgot about crisis, BALANCE it OUT a bit. Unless, of course, your aim is even more unbalanced matchmaking.

Well this is a new era indeed, I am intrigued to see the new changes with respect to usage of drones from the game tomorrow. Hope anything won't be exploited

Crisis is fine how it is. It only allows one Supply at a time.
