Today i use freeze titan. Fire viking is ODing me when frozen by me, my titan survived his OD even i have no fire protection module, 

 

is freezing also disable viking OD damage boost?

No. It disables boosts that come after the initial Viking boost (Boosted Damage supply, Extea damage from Booster and Crisis, Adrenaline) but it does not disable the base Viking Overdrive boost.

Another unannounced change is the damage coefficient of Round Destabilisation with Viking's Overdrive has been reduced from x2.5 to x1. That is, you don't get any damage increase during the Overdrive if you don't have Boosted Damage supply enabled.

I'm just stating the facts, I don't play Railgun, normally because, I like two fire mode Turrets. And I prefer driving a Hover Hull because it is easier for me. Railgun and Viking are OP, won't change my mind.

I decided to test hopper out and analyse it. Here is what I found out.

Hopper is now very easy to flip when jumping off a bridge, going on a ramp, etc. Basically, easiest to flip while in the air. On the ground, it is a bit better.

Tips for using hopper:

  • When using ricochet: it is vital to shoot only a bit. For me, I now only shoot out one plasma out after jumping, or while I'm airborne. It produces enough recoil to let you stay in the air about as long as old hopper. Also, refrain from shooting sideways, as it is very easy to flip then. 
  • Use trickster or crisis. I find it easier to control, and harder  to flip after jumping off a cliff that way. I have a rough theory that as the tank stays airborne longer with trickster and crisis, it is easier to balance things out. I don't know, it just works. Kinda breaks the fall you know? Try it out yourself to find out what I mean.
  • Use twins. Twins, combined with hopper, almost brings back the rico hopper combo. With only the fact that shooting sideways is still a big no no, it allows you to keep pressing the space bar without too much flipping chances. Use it like old rico; after jumping, keep shooting. When you turn the turret, it is vital to remember too stop shooting to not flip.
  • When using hammer, it is best to avoid using blunderbuss. The high recoil often flips me, so I advise to use stock or any other augment. 
  • Whatever turret you're using, keep in mind that the recoil is a lot greater than normal. It is basically what I said in the tip for using rico, but this applies for most turrets. 

So what do you think? I am using lightweight hopper so my observations may be a bit off, but most of them works for me. Really equip a speed boost booster for hopper, it's harder to flip.

OK, that sounds like a bug not a feature. I don't see any reason why they would make Round Destabilisation the only Railgun augment with no increased damage coefficient during Viking Overdrive, that seems bizarre. I am not able to record videos on my PC, but if you can - and can report it in the bugs section - all your fellow Railgun users will thank you lol.

That sucks especially, as Viking was my favourite hull with which to use Round Destabilisation (and to use Railgun in general). No wonder it seemed a little weak the last time I tried it with Viking Overdrive. A shame, because I liked the latest changes - and they had finally made it a viable and intersting augment again.

Thanks, I wish I could make videos, sadly my PC isn't up to it :P Hmm, are you sure it isn't a bug? Seems kind of random that Destabilised Rounds is the only Railgun augment with no damage coefficient buff in Viking overdrive - and since the augment just received a change, a bug with Viking would be the kind of thing that would be possible. If it wasn't announced, and it is the only Railgun augment with that behaviour (and it also doesn't seem to make sense), I'd be confident enough that it is a bug. Although I know we have seen random changes before.

Kind of reminds me of when Gauss suddenly stopped having almost any critical damage, and somehow information came through that this was intended. But then we later found out that it was apparently a "bug" that ended up getting fixed. I would think the same probably applies here.

Freeze is still difficult to deal with, same with hopper too (handling mechanics have changed alot). Using Death herald for rail as I belive its the only good non-UC alt remaining.

Hyperion and camper users are proving to be more potent in terms of defending.

Another change - Drop Boxes now reduce cooldown on repair kit for camper drone. I have not found any other drone with this feature.

Then I was just testing the new Hopper changes, and I just left after I successfully flipped once after many tries. No needs for screenshots and rekt or D3S

this new update has just put tanki back 3 years . with more one sided uneven battles. not at all improved battles but made it worse . and they want us to be in more MM battles..

forget it .. the battles are not even worth joining.

here is today's proof of how garbage this update is..

other team had 5 players higher in gear score's then blue team. also we had a lower gear score which they never had. making it  5 to 1 higher gear rating.how has this improved / balanced the battles.. MM needs to go also gear scores.
