Why are you not flipping when going into scope mode and slowly dropping down to lower level?  On PC that would flip me or leave me on my side 100% of time.

so to sum it. if i missed/evaded a special mission or two is it still reachable with finishing daily for 26 days?

Yes. Suppose you missed some missions while out on holiday and only ended up with 2/3 of the energy, or only 400 instead of the total rounded possible 600 energy. Your total would come out to the following:

unknown.png

This gives you a pretty certain chance of reaching Checkpoint 2 and a smaller but still plausible chance of reaching Checkpoint 3.

By the way, you could just simulate the following yourself using the notebook I linked here?

Simply just change the values (your maximum number of energy you can earn after this point, current step in the game, and goal) as desired:

unknown.png

Then you just run this cell:

Spoiler

unknown.png?width=1025&height=273

and voila - you now have the end distribution that I was talking about! Even better, you can customize your current scenario to see how the game will work out for you. Happy tinkering!

big question for you guys: do your calculations take into account the possibility of a chain reaction? as we can see, the bad fears came true, the distances between meteorites are less than 5 steps

sometimes they go one after another

so that is greatly increases probability to backfire ON EACH meteor, even if you've managed to pass it luckily

Yes. If you follow my simulation code, I have clearly stated the meteorite positions:

Upon running one of the simulations with infinite energy up to the end of the game (with modifications to display current steps, etc.), we get the following output:

In the output, each time you hit the meteorite, it is removed. As a result, in the later stages, where the meteorites are more spread out, the more common path trajectory is in a bit of a zigzag shape (i.e. the backwards moves are more frequent).

It doesn't influence my best/worst situations, since those already account for that.

I was already aware of this and for calculation using experimental data, I assumed you'll step on every meteorite. At the start, you have about 80% chance to step on meteorite and towards 4th and 5th checkpoint, chance to step on meteorite goes up... It's hard to calculate chance to step on those meteorites, as there are multiple ones overlapping, but it's somewhere between 90 and 100%

Person_Random took another approach and simulated a playthrough many times, then used statistical data, which very well displays possible outcomes and their probability.

So yes, both already included meteor overlapping situations in some way.

Would it be possible to calculate how much cash the buyers need to spend to get to the fourth checkpoint?

I want to test the claims of the devs that the new OP gimmick (Pulsar augment) is very difficult to obtain, even by buyers.

Yes. I just created something new on my local config that will calculate about how much additional energy you need to spend. As I don't know how much energy can be earned through buying, I'll just list raw energy values (on top of default of 600 energy).*

*Note that the probabilities of reaching the goal may be very slightly off since I am using two different simulations - one calculates the final steps and the other one overflows to account for additional energy. I could fix that, but I'm kind of lazy.

Bonus Note: you could just use the averages for Checkpoint 3, 4, 5 that I listed previously and subtract the energy you have to obtain the additional energy you need to spend. It might require a fair bit of mathematical maturity to make these connections though.

Why are you not flipping when going into scope mode and slowly dropping down to lower level?  On PC that would flip me or leave me on my side 100% of time.

Can you record your perspective on PC?

Both of those jumps would have me land upright regardless of my turret. To not flip from those small cliffs, you need speed and sustained rotation in a specific direction. If I did those without speed boost, there would be a higher chance of me flipping. I don't know if this is also the case on PC, but Shaft has a 0.5 second window to control your tank before you're fully in sniping mode. If I see than I'm overshooting the strafe for the quickscope or the strafe isn't necessary, I use that period to decelerate to steady my aim. When going off cliffs, I keep the momentum going as I would if I were using another turret.

It can also be because of the hover hull you're using. Paladin has one engine and it's to the absolute back of the hull. That causes quite a bit of problems when driving off of cliffs of any size if you do not do it the right way. I generally don't use Shaft with Paladin. It's too unstable for me to use for quickscoping and I would rather have Crusader's icicle than Paladin's Polarizer when I play with Healing Emitters.

Out of all your tanki account (maybe 18) how many kill did you manage to reach? I have seen that you have many legend rank accounts

Daily Mission + Event Mission will give 604 Energy (considering you did the premium account mission which requires 1 day of premium at least)

Now we still need 300 more energy.

So one needs to buy 20k tankoins which will give 80 Energy.

Then using those 20k tankoins buy that 2k tankoins special bundle 10 times which gives 20x10 = 200 energy.

That bundle can be bought once everyday after every server restart.

This brings us at 604+80+200 = 884 Energy. Now there is good chance that you can get Pulsar in 880 Energy. You can check my original post where I showed rough estimates.

I estimated that we need 860-880 Energy for Checkpoint 4.

But since these are rough estimates, let's say you need 900 energy to reach Checkpoint 4.

In that case either buy the 2k bundle once more or play on Gold Box event when gold rate is high to catch some Energies.

So in good case one needs to spend $220 (for 20k tankoins)  along with completing all event missions and daily missions for 27 days to get Pulsar, Armadillo and Crisis.

And In general case one may need to spend additional $22 for 2k tankoins and buy 2k special bundle one more time. This will give 28 additional Energy.

i have finished the second checkpoint, now i am aiming at legacy skins. i wish that i will get -5 X 5 time as i could get as many tankoins as possible because i already know that i can't get to the fourth checkpoint so the best situation now is being pulled back by asteroid as many time as possible.

There is a chance to reach the 3rd checkpoint without the additional 80 energy. However, your chances are becoming way lower than with completing every Daily/Special mission possible. On the other hand, you might be able to catch enough gold boxes that give you 1 energy each. As already mentioned, the 4th checkpoint is nearly impossible to reach for F2P players. Wish you the best of luck!

i am going to use the tankcoins to buy coinboxes and test my luck. i really want crisis and i am f2p

i miss just  the crystal and "be in the winning "( top 3 done yesterday , just equipped drone for it ) .   But i think i'm the dumb  one now .Seriously,,
Some people who with the bug immediately  got  4th(  in seconds and  without playing ) , got   it also back after complaining  .
i have struggled to 2th checkpoint in normal way ( as my previous screen )  and did not receive  anything   . They messed up ,and i  feel demotivated to " struggle "for better .
People who did buy should be pretty upset about it too , though probably they have already 4th and aim for higher . Well it's sunny at least , have a nice day ^^

I once got 3000 tankoins from 10 coinboxes I bought like a year ago. You might be lucky and manage to get even more... ? or nothing. ?

Well I played a little extra, and all the missions are completable by the f2p, just the winning team mission is taking time.

@Ghost_Animators are there any other y-tubers who was given free test energy?

I didn't get free energy, the clip was recorded just after the server update using those 800 bugged energy xD

At first I thought they have added free energy but later when I talked with @emrakulI realized that those were bugged energy ?

When I checked later, they removed my progress :x

I don't think they are giving out free energy to youtubers. I didn't see anyone requesting it. Most probably they told them that it's not allowed I guess.

Actually I'm not all the channels of YT discord server since I'm marked as Inactive YouTuber from long time ?, that's why I don't know much.

Btw I'm uploading consistently from last 2 months so hopefully I will eventually get active youtuber role back ?

winning team mission is a tough one.......

Wait till weekend,

Go DM battle, you are always in winning team, since there is no side,

Just play DM battle 49 times, ( worse that time 10 dm battle mission)

You can just sit in dm while clean floor to ease the stress.

----

Top3 is easy if you use status effect augments
