Patch Update #692 - Released 24th June 2022

Wow I just now for my first time survive a hunter od attack, and I noticed it's just a long stun + 6s emp, lol just why tanki! just another thing of an unintentionally buffs tanki do.

Also why there's random dots coming randomly today in my UI?

So i played against SCORPION user with adrenaline augment. it was my first battle of the day (yeah im lucky i know) and it was ASL mode he was on the attacking team.

His conbo was Titan and Scorpion. All i can say about scorpion is...

What the actual F? It should be renamed to Cancer because its absolutely pure cancer in battles this is by far the worst turret ever period.

 

Let me tell you i was the guy who could survive 3 Helios on 1 team WITHOUT ISSUES. I am way above average player. but scorpion? oh i just drive around healing teammates and... oh no! im dead randomly. But then just dodge the rockets right? Ha ha ha you wish. its borderline impossible to dodge. How much demage rockets deal? MORE THAN ENOUGH. I was using Ares mk7-16 and LVL 20 CRISIS ARMOR MODE. and i would still get one shotted with 2 ROCKETS EXTRA. HOW MUCH DEMAGE THIS THING DEALS? 50k? I would literally be immortal against every another turret when im in crisis armor mode. Oh and about its normal "smoky" shots. they deal 1700+ demage Per Shot. When your enemy has armor supply equipped. Have fun. lol. Oh and btw the smoky shot reload is around 2 sec. So getting close to dodge rockets strat is not on the table for now. And its rocket reload time felt way too fast for "slower than shaft".

One more thing which makes this turret really op is that the 'smoky' shots don't loose damage even when firing to targets which are far away, a capability which even the long range turrets like gauss and shaft don't have . This turret needs to be Nerfed Right Now

You can dodge the rockets with a medium hull + speed boost, and they're useless if you're close to the Scorpion.

Full Salvo deals 10k damage with DD, armor should make that 5k but it surely has crits.

I believe the reload of normal shot is 3s or so, I've watched a video of it being used with Viking overdrive and the rate of fire is still pretty garbage.

It deals 1300 damage without DD indeed, that goes up to 2600.

The lock on is incredibly fast.

Not trying to defend it though, the guy in the video used it on Stadium and was getting killed by a shaft continuously, so the turret looked mediocre, and I'm sure it is on certain maps, it has to be used at the back of the map to be effective, as i already said, it's going to be the camping turret par excellence.

I CANT dodge rockets not even a chance. also 1500 per shot without range decrease? ok. sure. lock on is absurd just like magnum and i don't need to tell you why. just because random noob got scorpion and got killed doesn't mean that turret is trash

I think it is now acceptable, but not that balanced(eg, no damage reduction in long range) for those reasons

Cons:

1. Scorpion is almost useless in close range due to low dps and a 2.8 seconds reload, not to mention that its rockets can not lock on targets that are too close to the scorpion user. Its feature determines its way to be used in long range

2. It is not that helpful to the whole team. Because it has a 16 s reload time, if played at long range, it can only use the normal shots to fight the enemy

 

pros

1. Damage for rockets are horrible: 10x1300(with crisis) is sure to kill ur target. The only way to survive is to use a crisis, or a heavy hull with a defender

2. unique aiming system: short aiming time allows u to lock the enemy almost immediately

3. really ideal for campers, especially for those who do not really care about the team, but the killing (sometimes it could be a con), and the enemy could have a hard time trying to stop u if they do not use scorpion.

 

That is to say, scorpion is designed to use in long or medium range against a certain target(especially TJR) or to deal great damage towards a group of enemy(SGE against a group of ares or ASL in the attacker side which will force the defenders to come out to fight) It has some unique features allowing it to be powerful in some mode and maps(eg, stadium), while totally useless in some other maps. I am not saying that I am currently satisfied with it, I am saying that it indeed has pros and cons. 

So, expect it to be op in all features is ridiculous (like tesla when first released lol), but as for the nerf, i also think it is not that necessary. Currently it is acceptable, but not ideal, let us see how will it change some ways players fight against each other and then discuss some ideas to change it.

But i never said it's trash, we all know the devs are incompetent and don't care about game balance

Also the video i'm talking about is of one of the Team Pointers members xD

Also if u use a light hull with a trickister, u can run so fast that ur dear teammates will taste those rockets for u ??

today's issue is more with the upgraded to the system on main page log in with the music. even when you close off the music when you log out of your account . it takes you back to the main  page . then the music starts up again and then you have to close off the music again . its a continuing on going issue.

 

for those having issues with the Over Drive - you need to go to settings / then go to controls ( I think its the location)  - then click on the star beside the Over Drive button - it will indicate left shift / click on it then click again using the right shift key on your keyboard.it should say R shift.. if it doesn't then try it again until you do see the R shift on the star.   then leave .

Not a clue what they have done but the music is so annoying and i have to change my camera settings, up/down every time i log in and the game is lagging and it kicks you out of battles. All this because of the new update, happens every single time. Quite pathetic really.

Sir if you go to the top right hand side of log in page , there is the sound button to turn off. but if you go out of your account and try to log into another account the sound will turn back on. you then have to re-shut it off again.

for the lag try restarting your computer . if you did not close off your system last night to get updated this will cause lag issues with tanki games. seeing they upload new changes every  so often and its hard to keep up to the system changes . best thing to do is close or restart when you get on your computer.

yes but u can not win if most players use scorpion It helps u kill a lot, but doesn't really help you win. just like in ctf ur team will not win if all players are using magnum

Why must it be a direct springboard for the status augments? Why couldn't it have kept the +20% projectile speed to distingush it from the others given that it has nothing else? It's not bad, but I can't say I'm a fan of the current Destabilised Plasma. It should at least get its speed back.

I can confirm that it is working properly right now. And it would seem that this mechanic was also distributed to the other Smokies? It would make sense since the very first attempt at making Sorted Ammunition work this way lead to the other Smokies' critical chances behaving weirdly. Now that this is working...

...it's time to really fix Smoky. THIS is happening to Smoky. There are far too many times where I have missed shots I am supposed to be hitting, especially against Vikings, Hunters and Paladins, especially Vikings. It's needlessly frustrating to use Smoky on PC.

Even a baby can use it to easily kill an advanced player, I don't think a player who can't even turn the turret can evaporate a player whose game time is more than a thousand hours and whose KD is greater than 2 in a second, but that's actually the case, This is very S T U P I D. Obviously, this new buff proves that developers think it is not stupid enough. Of course, we can also be optimistic. For example, we can strengthen it again in the next patch, so that it can be deleted before being flooded by angry players
