freezing status effect improvement

as the freezing status applying gradually i suggest the same gradual boosted damage reduction

what i mean: if target freezed to a half of the maximum (half of round indicator filled), so than damage reduced in a half

and vice versa when you thaw: as soon as you partially unfroze, your damage gradually restores

for now freezing is way too powerful - one puff and you have no damage at all

You're right; however, I feel like it is a little unfair for boosted damage to be completely disabled if one Freeze even accidentally fires at you for one tick.

Many times, you have certain situations where the freezing gets worn out by time, or stays for a certain or whole period depending on the augments. It would be very much hassle to keep different % of different damage at those points.

Hence, just keep a single situation to remove the damage at all, saves time and effort.

It seem pretty analogical to how Adrenaline is working. Not sure why it should be much of a problem.

The health does not decrease proportionally, after getting hit, the health stays constant, unless you're being damaged again, if I shoot an enemy player. I will deal some constant damage, and ADR will be calculated the power of your turret on that basis, but the effect decreases gradually with time, hence the damage numbers would keep changing at every point.

so that's why programmers get paid isn't it? ? the main factor should be perfomance, if its not laggy, so why not

implementation seems easy, they have temperature system, so you just tie damage with t, and thats it (i'm programmer believe me xd)

Although I still don´t see an issue, you can always split the damage reduction to a finite number of steps. For example: 100-80% frozen = *0.5dmg,  79-60% = *0.6dmg, etc.

Rather than this, I believe devs want to keep things simple in terms of the effect.

I think it woulld be fair to do this, since freeze is quite deadly. I think it wouldn't be too hard to add this in their code.

But if they nerf freeze status would they compensate freeze in another way? Like too bad shock freeze critical hits is removed.

In the end upto the devs....  but good suggestion here...good point

agreed, this must be implemented
i dont want to take freeze immune just for this, cuz there r people who use emp/ap on me

It doesn't make any sense that freeze effect reduces damage.  That side effect should go away.   Everyone knows freeze has been too strong for quite a while and needs a nerf of some sort, preferably critical damage.

Do you still believe Freeze needs a nerf in its critical hit aspects? It's clear that every turret's power has been ramped up since December and every turret is now playable and powerful to some extent. Freeze received an unannounced nerf back in April where its critical hit step chance was reduced to 1%. Instead of the previous 7, 0, 7, 0, 7 scheme, it now has 7, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 which effectively reduced the critical hit rate noticeably. I found that while it was still powerful if it got the critical hit off, it would finally fall off from the absolute top with other turrets getting their buffs alongside that nerf. 

 

Does it still fell overpowered to you?

lmao, bet you're angry for freezes that easily counter your paladin+crisis? ?

buff freeze more pls, at least one f2p turret that can resist op buyers

Still feels strong but especially when playing on accounts without armadillo.  I really haven't noticed a difference.  My problem is really with critical hit multipliers.  Any turret that has it more than 2 is a problem in my eyes.  I think that includes freeze, fire, striker, and vulcan.  With my main account and armadillo, it's not as big a factor.  It's when I try to play on other accounts that it is most frustrating.

I really wish this moronic kind of talk would die at some point.  Blame Tanki for creating the disparity between players and their equipment.  Stop being rude to people that spend some money on a game they enjoy that allows it to exist so that you can play for free.
