A Buyers Perspective: My opinion on recent Tanki Fund Giveaway. Why I am now losing interest in this game.

To begin with I am sure I will attract a lot of attention and maybe hate from f2p players. But I was an f2p player myself for a very long time and I have had many accounts before this one. My only gripe with the recent Tanki fund event was that many players like me who spend thousands of tankoins just to get their hands on armadello and crisis was given away for merely 990 tankoins. I feel that I have been cheated. I have paid so much for a gear that was given away for dirt cheap amount to so many players. I would have had no problem if the fund only included skins, augments etc. But they even included super rare items like armadello and crisis. This makes me feel that there is no consistency in the game's policies and I honestly feel they lack a long term vision and clarity.

Now I have decided to stop investing in this game both in terms of money and time. Goodbye!

Here's the thing though, buyers have been able to run around with OP crap for months, years even. We've only just gotten it now, and it'll take some time to get the upgrades done given both crisis and armadillo aren't just given at full power, fully upgraded. Armadillo especially will break the bank for most people before it even reaches MK7. Crisis is weak like every other drone with few upgrades, and it gobbles supplies at a ludicrous speed. 

Your complaints are genuinely unjust, you just don't want the game to be balanced. The game would be better off without crisis and armadillo altogether. I would much prefer to see nobody with OP garbage, but I will take light buyers having it too over just the lucky, annoying few having them. I got both from the tanki fund. Will I use Armadillo? Absolutely, when it is MK7. Will I use Crisis? Yes, because it's literally just a better booster drone for camping. Combine that with Scorpion when it comes out to everyone, and you become frustrating to deal with at best. To be honest I feel like Crisis should cost a lot more to fully upgrade than it does, much like Armadillo. 

Buyers still get broken equipment to dominate battles with that f2p hasn't. Think the new hyperspeed shells for Thunder, Scorpion in general (It'll only get nerfed upon launch to everyone). Your choice to quit upon the game becoming more balanced is honestly a good thing. Your personality regarding the issue is just plain toxic, and it becomes a better place without people of your mindset. Well, as good as tanki gets anyway. Farewell, and good riddance. May many more buyers who ruin the game follow in your stride. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm just being brutally honest. Many, many players will agree. Alas, the moderators will not, crying in a corner about wanting to reject reality because most of them are a part of the problem, being heavy buyers themselves.

Honestly I haven't understood tanki fund very well, wasn't following its news (though the topic was popping up alot) and haven't participated.  But what can I say in your topic #1: Armadillo&Crisis get distributed to f2p after a long time which is seemingly enough for buyers it's healthy to imagine these wont last forever exclusive/OP.  #2: It seems it's like you entered a gambling or something like, so the result wasn't very unexpected.   Sorry if my post was irrelevant, as I said earlier I don't understand it clearly. I've read that topic, it have many conditions in real, if I was about to spend $$ I would study it very well. Because I feel from that topic it was obviously just grindy for f2p, all of f2p players are depending on p2w player spends.  So in real if I was a buyer, I will not make others benefit from me, dot.

That is precisely my point. You put it very well. The whole concept behind this tanki fund event was flawed. Why would I allow others to benefit from my money? I purchased a few packages because I was unaware of such an event. Had I known about it I would have never spent a single dime. I regret because I made others get access to gear for dirt cheap amount, something that I got from spending many many dollars. 

I dont know why this game does it like this but it really hurt us p2p players who are also their investors in a sense, this time.

I got crisis and armadillo for around 20k tankoins and 990 tankoins on my second acc.

im kinda salty yeah because i basically got scammed...

Just kidding im not salty lol im having a blast killing the OP f2ps with lvl 2 crisis and 5% armadillo all over the place. They can have it. Armad and crisis can only get you that far even maxed not even talking about the fact that there will be crisis and armad 2.0 coming.

I am a buyer and i couldn't care less about the balance difference in MM between F2P and P2P lol. 

Im SGE main and everyone and their grandma is a whale in that mode it seems like and im having way more fun killing these clearly raging buyers than some random F2P.

I found it funny that the original post almost exactly copies my exaggerated representation or people complaining about everyone getting the fund rewards for such a low price. But fine, I suppose my reaction can be percieved as provocative. I've removed it.

Though as a proponent of balanced gameplay and equality between free players and buyers, I'm not gonna lie that I'm happy to see the former enjoying their new toys while the latter complains about it.

I don't see how this is relevant to what I said. I never claimed that being F2P is easy or comfortable. What I'm saying is that I support the idea of reducing the gap between buyers and free players, so I'm happy to see events/updates which help that cause.

One thing that's clear by now is that there's isn't a single exclusive that will be exclusive forever. They all eventually become more accessible one way or another, be it paints, skins, augments, or exotics. For some reason this is part of Tanki's model. And their justification has always been that the reward for paying is that you get to use it sooner. It's the whole premise behind early access like we have with Scorpion right now.

Crisis getting available to thousands of players wasn't something I was expecting, but to be fair we had to wait years to even have a shot at it, and it depended on saving up tankoins, which we don't get many of. Technically, it's no different from any other F2P vs P2W thing. We theoretically can get it too, it just requires more time, effort and luck.
