Gauss helps me to wipe out entire team every 3ish seconds and clear the point for my teammates also its EMP gauss so even if somebody survives they're getting oneshotted by my teammates. Im not playing TDM don't worry. Also there is no way in hell im going to the point when every 10 seconds there is ares bot pressing shift or 2 paladin hacks single handedly ruining the entire match. like you win 6-0? oh look 2 paladins on the enemy team? well too bad you lost 7-6. Yeah im supporting the team and thats all im going to do until they balance the damn modes. Its never hapening i know.
Forgot to add: not only im KILLING 80% OF THE ENEMIES MAKING THE POINT EMPTY FOR MY TEAM TO CAPTURE i also get 1st place all the time. And i mean it almost every time there is 200-400 score difference between me and a guy in 2nd place so im sure im doing something right WHEN IM DOMINATING THE LEADERBOARD LIKE THAT.

Well why did it need a buff? It’s a sniper. Arcade shots should be whatever, and it’s focus should be it’s sniped damage, which is already so broken. 1 shot every time unless you have Eagle on.

In real I've stopped blaming players for not playing the game objective, because it's MM (FFA) and everyone have to play the way they like, even that I still see it as a downgraded thing.

In real every kill focused player say like that, while in real no one can be as effective as the one who go to the point, except in rare cases.

So I'm curious, will this buff to Shaft make the "short-band emitter" augment stronger?  This augment is meant to increase damage and reload time in arcade mode.  I find it to be utterly useless at its current state.

It has arcade shots that can be good if you have supercharge. It really did not need any buff.

You can apply that to Gauss, Striker, any turret.

It's following a global change, alongside Gauss. Current long range characteristic is now 100m max damage, 150m min damage, 50% weak damage. Wait until further patches to see where this will go.

Which is how it was for a long time. Its sniping reload was significantly increased in June 2020 and its maximum damage range for arcade shots were reduced to 30m. During that period, it was overpowered because the sniping mode was able to be entered too often, the very thing you complained about 8 months after. You had almost no penalty to missing a shot. You missed, and then could go back into sniping mode 3 seconds later. Of course, this made it a prime camping tool, which is how the majority of its players used it. 

 

The changes made last year were to push it from being sniper-intensive to mixing its arcade and sniping shots. An energy retention mechanic returned for quickscopes and its arcade shot range increased to the then medium range. You now had a huge penalty for missing a shot and were encouraged to use the arcade mode more. Players who only planned to turn their brain off and camp with it have a firing rate debuff.

Well what if i told you I AM THAT RARE CASE? Is me getting 200-400 score more than a guy in SECOND PLACE of the team not enough? Yea sure instead of "cleaning" the point from all these paladin hacks i can just cap a point and die in the next 2 seconds from a random bot using ares OD woohoo i did nothing but in your mind  i am a hero. I know what you mean. ur talking about the "killers" that stay in the corner getting whopping 100 score in 15 minutes in SGE but i get 700-1500 score every battle.

@Kimura Your playing for yourself and imo there is nothing wrong with that. Not being canon fodder for the enemy, especially with these legal hack paladins is the right choice.

TO has went down the pan and it will only get considerably worse. Why would anyone enter a battle to get killed multiple times, never understood that.

The developers do what they want with the game, usually meaning they screw it up and screw players over in the process. 

I quit playing "the right way" a long time ago. I play the game "my way" and until they reverse some of these trash updates i will continue to play it "my way" and no doubt add to my growing collection of backward haters.

This new Gauss update is INSANE. I just got 58 kills and 3 deaths in CP. 1300 battle points. Top of winning team by a mile.

Combo used: 20/20 Crusader, 20/20 Gauss, 16/20 Crisis. I swear on everything I was NOT camping. Just used my speed boost and boosted armor very wisely. Timed all my quick scope salvos to perfection. Lots of kills. Lots of assists. Lots of points captured. Only 3 deaths. 

And if you think i was up against 'noobs', there were 2 Scorpion 9999gs users with Crisis, another Stun smoky user with Ares and Trickster (he was very good icl) and a skilled Tesla Pulsar user. 

Gauss is insane now. Please don't change it. 

I've been a Gauss player since it came out and I've stuck with it through thick and thin. Even when it was 'unusable' I still used it and managed to finish top 3 in every battle.

Now it's just straight up 'I'm guaranteed to finish top of my team and get 40+ kills per game'. 

And if you think that's 'unfair', 1) I was using crisis so that obvs made it like 4x stronger,  and 2) It's about time Gauss got a buff, cos it's been one of the 'worst' turrets in the game for about 6-8 months now - imo.

And btw, I have proof of my battle results but I always struggle to upload pics to the forum. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it - thanks:)

max damage rang is a range where the gun can do a high damage if the target is closer, the further it was the less the damage dealt

Doubling the damage AND extending the range.  That's a pretty big jump.

Honestly, I think it's fine. Weak damage is so minuscule anyway, and many players agree that Shaft has needed an arcade buff range-wise since the 10 second reload update. Now it should be easier to effectively use arcade shots while scope is reloading!
