Patch Update #709 - Released 9th December 2022

 

  • Changed the order of buttons in the Lobby: Containers > Missions > Garage

    • (Note) This change is needed for new players, according to our research on how they complete the new contextual tutorial. We are also working on a new Lobby screen.

  • Added short GIF-videos and screenshots to steps of the new contextual tutorial to make it easier and understandable

  • Ricochet

    • «Sizzling Field» augment

      • Removed splash damage

      • Removed the limit on the number of ricochets

      • Critical shots apply the «Burning» status effect for 4 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet applies the «Burning» status effect for 2 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet, if critical, applies the «Burning» status effect for 10 seconds 

    • «Cryo field» augment

      • Removed splash damage

      • Removed the limit on the number of ricochets

      • Critical shots apply the «Freezing» status effect for 10 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet applies the «Freezing» status effect for 2 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet, if critical, applies the «Freezing» status effect for 10 seconds 

    • «Magnetron» augment

      • Removed splash damage

      • Removed the limit on the number of ricochets

      • Critical shots apply the «EMP» status effect for 2 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet applies the «EMP» status effect for 1 second 

      • Each shot after ricochet, if critical, applies the «EMP» status effect for 3 seconds

    • «Tectonic field» augment

      • Removed splash damage

      • Removed the limit on the number of ricochets

      • Critical shots apply the «Stun» status effect for 1 second 

      • Each shot after ricochet applies the «Stun» status effect for 0.4 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet, if critical, applies the «Stun» status effect for 1.5 seconds 

    • «Super-smart Minus-Field» augment

      • Removed splash damage

      • Removed the limit on the number of ricochets

      • Critical shots apply the «Armor-Piercing» status effect for 5 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet applies the «Armor-Piercing» status effect for 1.5 seconds 

      • Each shot after ricochet, if critical, applies the «Armor-Piercing» status effect for 9 seconds 

  • Smoky

    • «Cryo rounds» augment

      • Legendary augment now, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

    • «Assault rounds» augment

      • Added a decrease of shot reload duration by 10%

      • Increased the price from 96,000 to 245,000 crystals

    • «High-precision aiming system» augment

      • Changed the increase of Regular damage from +32% to +40%

      • Changed the increase of Shot reload time from +40% to +20%

      • Increased the price from 149,000 to 245,000 crystals

  • Viking’s overdrive and Scorpion

    • Changed the coefficient of the decrease of the Scorpion’s shot reload time when Viking’s overdrive is activated from 0.25 to 0.4

      • (Note) This changes the Rate of fire increase from +75% to +60%

  • Terminator

    • Critical damage chance changed from 1% to 15%

    • The pause between salvo rockets increased from 0.15 to 0.3 seconds

    • Aiming time decreased to 0.8 seconds

    • Salvo reload time decreased to 0.8 seconds

  • Added a new type of daily mission «Earn X crystals in the Y mode»

  • Regular containers can no longer be purchased

  • Added smoke effects for the default version of Dictator

  • Improved the texture of a destroyed tank

Made us think you were forgetting to do this all these months. Makes sense that Cryo Rounds goes to Legendary. It had pretty nice value for Smoky crystal augment.

Overall good changes, added consistency to Ricochet's augments which is always nice to see and gave Smoky some love. The removal of the essentially 'free' container is questionable though... I'd like to know the reasoning behind that besides harming F2P players of course?

Seriously they should buff Autocannon for Smoky, it is quite useless. Also Sledgehammer for Thunder too.... 

But which would be better Smoky Adrenaline vs High Precision.... hmmm

Is it a step for new players? IMO it will be helpful for them not to get lost in the amount of turrets or hulls they get from containers so as to know their first four turrets.

Ummm If you guys removed the crystal one only then you guys deserve some treatment from doctor

Or if you guys removed from overall shop then why there is no explanation.

1: Interesting!

2: I always have a feel that cryo augment is just too close to stun, but the difference it doesn't have the obnoxious definition of fully stopping a player (noob skill). Makes sense to make it legend!

3: Thank you, it was a very bad routine to enter the shop and pay 1230 crystals for container then get 1000 crystals back. You rescued me

Well CongoSpider.... but adrenaline would have faster reload and then would get more critical hits in the long run.

I wish they also buffed the keybinds (STRAFE key for Hovers).... need we can have good keyboard only control for hover hulls..

 mouse and key is lousy just can't use it.

What made them comparable was how closely their total damage output was against an enemy. The TTK was basically the same if you hit all of your shots. It was a matter of preference which one you wanted, if not favouring Adrenaline a bit with changes that were made to Booster, Stock Smoky etc. The new HPAS is going to have even higher normal damage with a faster firing rate. The scales are now tipped towards HPAS' favour. 

Critical hits aren't much of a comparison between them since Smoky can advance critical chance on misses. Both can end up with more crits or less crits than each other. In the end, the majority of their shots will be normal damage. Now that the firing rate of HPAS is being increased, it's even less of a factor. 

 

HPAS' reload will be 1.38 seconds after this update. This video shows what a Smoky with a 1.40 second reload shoots like.

Thanks for explaining CongoSpider; I tried High Precision before but felt awkward and slower reload also have to get use to it for aim aim timing.

I will try it out later and see how it goes. Sort of funny that you can't buy Cryo for Smoky anymore makes me think about 2 years ago I use it alot

with viking and was fun, seeing tanks freeze up white. They even nerfed the freeze now it does a light freeze ( blue color), but still  freeze is good

for defence by disabling foes damage boost.  Freeze sure helps versus vampire nanobots, I think more than a burning status I found.

Another thing AutoCannon sure needs a buff (like a bit higher normal damage); with Tesla (or other melee) you can kill them quite easily since the normal damage

is way too low. Maybe they nerfed it cause it was so annoying, heh, so smoky users would use something else.

yep i hate it, really hard to kill even viking from far now only they just easily hide behind cover. and very hard to kill heavy hulls

You talking about Uranium for Scorpion? Ya was excited that it would have more damage like with striker's uranium, but read the benefits for it and wasn't impressed.

As for the rico changes they do seem a bit stronger lately.

Obviously the person who swapped the places with Garage and Containers did poorly in school. What research did they do to find that Containers are more important than your own tank???

Instead, The rewards have been doubled in both silver and gold tiers. later challenge was like this 1 container in silver and 3 containers in gold. now it is 2 containers in silver and 6 in gold not only that but also they have add ultra containers as well as the xt container. It is really a good choice bcs previous challenges, u may had the augments and you might have to spend tankoins for just the skin in the last tier or one of the augments u did not have. now all those augments have been replaced by many ultra containers.
