Pulsar augment for hulls

As the topic says we already have more than 5 turrets with pulsar augments and that's make any hull augment useless since it just takes one of the five effects

I know this will make the hull op but let's say you can get them only from the UC on exotic level and it exist only for few events in a year e.g.  new year event and tanki online anniversary

The idea sounds nice on the paper but will be way too overpowered in battles. The idea of having 2 hull augment slots was also declined earlier.

instead of having them immune to the 5 effects. It could just makes them immune to the pulsar effect itself. So it wouldnt have immunity to any of the standard effects. It would only provide immunity to the pulsar augament itself.

We need double triple hull augments ASAP after tesla alone i just play in a map and randomly get every effect in the book. HOWS THAT FAIR??? now with twins pulsar the amount of times you'll randomly drive and get hit by pulsar twins will be way too much for it to be healthy for the game. We're in the burst damage meta we can leave effect meta alone and not make to where its burst and effect meta at the same time.

EDIT: double immunity is not a thing thats going to be OP its a thing thats going to be ESSENTIAL SOON and im sure even little Bob knows that fact. You can't have two dominating toxic Super Metas that make everything that's not related to meta useless. THATS BAD GAME DESIGN and it makes customers dislike your product and you lose profits. its a lose lose for both devs and players. The fact that immunities are still as expensive and hard to get as when they came out (yeah conts are more available but thats not the point) is absurd!

if you're getting pulsar'd, why cant you pulsar them back? sounds like a skill issue to me ?

 

there really isn't anything inherently "unfair" about the game. if you keep dying, it's understandable that you will want to quit the game, but there will always be those who are up to the challenge and will keep fighting despite the current challenges posed by pulsar augments. 

 

Also keep in mind that if it really became an issue, they could just turn down the critical rate of pulsar augments even more. It's really not that hard

Sorry brah, i have self-respect and i don't use beyond braindead augments like Pulsar. When did i said i want to quit the game? I'll never quit it because its too fun to kill mults like you who rely on Pulsar of all things. Oh time to dust off old screenshots...

 If you can do maths you'll look at the timer it says 7:51 and 15:00 - 7:51 = ~7 minutes and 38 kills in around 7 mins is impressive since it probably takes you a whole match to even get close to that.... Woops truth hurts?

This idea is useless since there is already an augment which has that properties, its called " Special Protection" and its a universal augment which is present in all hulls. Unfortunately only "special people" have it, idk who tho so please dont ask me.

That's a conscious decision of your choosing. It's no secret that the latest items in the game will be the greatest (for the most part). So you can choose the things you like but they may place you at a disadvantage.

While I don't think we can fix this the only best counter at least I've done was Stun Immunity cause than you still have the ability and option for about 1 second to still do damage as if you had other status effects. Just my opinion. I don't think they will add an augment to counter pulsar but it's a good idea though.

And that is the problem with the game's current balance. The developers themselves said every augment should be providing a net upgrade, but clearly that's not the case and there's too many cases of powercreeping/straight up OP stuff.

You don't say. I refer you to the quote at the top of this post. Not being "unfair" and being at a disadvantage within the context of your posting, (meaning what you are trying to get across) is a bit of a contradiction. 

TO is broken, severely broken. The developers know this because they are the one's that alter/break the game on a whim to further boost there profits.

Pulsar is the latest in a long list of OP, cash grab strategies that have ruined gameplay, to the point that even a colonel can take out a maxed legend player with ease, which is just wrong, totally wrong.

You should have to earn the right to be strong/competitive in battle through experience, game time, knowledge of the actual game (combos, overdrives, drones, etc) and not because you have cash to skip months if not years of grinding out battles to achieve legend status, and by the word "LEGEND" I don't mean the rank.

MM is to blame for most of the problems created by the developers (ironic I no because they created MM) because it just DOES NOT WORK. Until it is overhauled completely are discarded for something that DOES WORK it will continue to be a major problem in the game as far as "balance" is concerned. 

My solution about ranks and how to contain them to within a couple of ranks in battles is a sound idea and would mitigate to a extent the dreadful mismatching in their dreadful and useless MM.

I no I digressed of topic but it all amounts to the same thing, MM, augments to name but 2 have RUINED the game beyond the point that it is unplayable for most.

A mod said that the developers "do listen to players". My reply to that mod is "I live on planet earth within the milky way"........................

There's nothing contradictory about it. It's like saying you are using an mk1 hull in a legends battle and then saying it's unfair that other players can 1 shot you. If it's a conscious choice you are making that places you at a disadvantage, that doesn't qualify as being unfair. Now if other players have more powerful equipment than you (that you do not have in your garage)? Is that fair? It's not, but you can't really blame the game for it. You made the choice not to make purchases. 

I'm just saying facts. TO isn't a charity. The point of the dev's isn't to make the game fair. What's the point of spending money on the game if spending money doesn't grant a buyer any advantage whatsoever? Maybe when the game had 100,000's of players, the game was so good that players would make cosmetic purchases just to support the game. These are different times.

If you want to ask me, you should brace yourself for what is to come. What did everyone have access to in the last 2 months? Armadillo, crisis, thunder adaptive reload, helios, thunder vacuum, mk7 product kits during the holiday sales. So what are the OP/game-breaking buyer exclusive items that motivate buyers to spend their life savings on the game? Well... there aren't that many left. So that means that the dev's will have to make some more asap to keep the cash engine rolling.

 It sounds nice on paper but no one wants to wait 5 minutes just to play a battle. There just aren't enough players to do it, which is why the ranks are already so wide in MM right now.

Wrong. That would be just dumb. Mind you in the current MM system your not far wrong about MK1 going up against MK7s.

Most players do not have a choice as the game for the want of a better word is "RIGGED". Unfair and un-equality are the same thing in TO. I could go on and explain this but I can't be bothered.

Can't I? The game and it's atrocious MM system and how players rank all combine to make it "totally unfair" for most players.

So yeah I can blame the game and rightly so.

I explained how to get around this.   

Edit update. Patch update 711. Go to page 3 and you will see my reply to a certain mod about the solution to ranking and the positive side affect it would have in MM.
