I recently took a week-long break from tanki and I finally returned a few days ago just to see that the game is even worse now than it was a week ago. I now see that one team has a lot of real players and the other team always has a bunch of bots and only a few real players. The difference is that bots use insanely low GS, never use supplies, never use the chat, never do the objective, almost never even attack the opposing team, etc. Even when I was new to the game, I still was able to do a much better job and I am still bad at this game yet to this day.

What I am creating this topic for is where we can discuss the sources/programs that people use to purchase bots to hack into the game and kick players out from the buyer's battle and replace about 1/3 of the buyer's opponents with these bots programmed to suck at the game. The buyer wants to have an easy win and these bots make it very easy for them.

Since I see so much of this, I suspect one of two things. The first being that tanki doesn't care about it. The second being that tanki doesn't enforce the rules. I will discuss the second suspicion later, but I will discuss the first suspicion now. I suspect that tanki doesn't care about it is because it encourages more people to spend more money so they can overpower the other team despite the bots as teammates.

The second reason is that it is supposed to be against the rules. Here are the rules that this violates:

  • 2.1.2. Application or distribution of third-party software or other means for improvement/automation of game possibilities (bots, cheats), as well as programs that may deteriorate the functioning of the Game and/or the functioning of electronic devices of third persons;
  • 2.1.8. Transfer of the Account or other game values to third persons; publication of any offers to sell, buy, or transfer the Account or in-game property,
  • 2.2.4. Posting links to sites/hostings containing 3rd party software (cheats, programs, clients, etc.), spreading links to sites containing software that changes the game’s functionality or promises to do so;
  • 2.1.9. Conspiracy – organizing battles to gain experience points and/or crystals from battle funds, through having inactive or succumbing players in a battle.

If you guys want to discuss your thoughts here about this idea, then feel free to do so. If I forgot a rule that it violates, then please call me out on it and I will thank you, then I will add it to the post.

Any proof?

Tanki already has bots programmed to do this. I think about half are from tanki and the other half are from these programs were bots can be purchased. I responded to #2 as 50-50.

@TheCongoSpider Ever played matchmaking and had teammates that are worse than you can imagine real players being? That's almost every game for me.

No because I'm aware some players play the game casually and the progression is garbage that makes people reach endgame with undergraded equipment.

Screenshot your happenings if you can't record videos. You don't make your bizarre claims about these things happening in every battle any more believable when you don't post proof.

That's doesn't make them bots. You greatly underestimate how bad some people can be at the game. And there's nothing wrong with that — Tanki MM is a casual type of game, so as long as there's an equal number of these so-called "bots" on both teams, then I don't mind it.

For the record, I voted that the number of sabotage bot accounts is <25%, but it's probably something like 0.001% of all players in MM. I don't believe that buying and opearting bots for the purpose of sabotaging the enemy team in MM is worth the hassle.

To be fair, it is enough for me to change the keyboard presets and I play worse than a so-called bot.

Quite interesting how accustomed I got to the current keybindings over the time.

Are there noobs? Yes. But that doesn't make them bots, and there definitely isn't a conspiracy to ruin battles. I don't know if that's even easily possible, and like Maf said, it isn't worth the trouble for a few thousand crystals.

FWIW though, you do see battles that have Parkour fights get filled with low-rank click accounts in order to take up space and prevent randoms from joining. Those aren't bots though, they're just alt accounts that you can get to the minimum rank for PRO Battles pretty quickly.

I think it's not about sabotaging (at least deliberately) ... it's more about just being inconsiderate.

These players sit around just to complete their missions for "finish battles in any mode", "finish battles in the winning team"... or they don't see any point in playing on so they just stay to collect the crystals for the points they have already scored.

Yes, I agree that they should be banned forever.

If it get proved that tanki have bots in any case, it would be horrible to be honest!  But I think there are not bots in tanki, and if they want to make a bots, they will make them average and give them appropriate equipment for the rank. Like Mk7-15 for legend.

Not quite. But they do plan to release bots in MM.

They don't have bots. Just mess with youre ping and you'll see.

Yes they "plan" to release them but you know whats also planned? Gigantic flying monkey (hovering juggernaut), advertising, gifts return, "Bomb-cart" mode, IOS tanki mobile etc etc. etc. etc. Them saying that they're "planning" to add this feature means "we might add this in the next 100 years but 99% we already forgot about that feature"

That'll probably come this year with the new mobile app.

Indeed, but these features do arrive after some time. They don't forget about them, but if something is not urgent, then they'll focus on more important stuff first. However, adding bots probably is urgent, as low ranks can be pretty empty at non-peak times.

What about the fire and freeze augments for magnum that they said would be released on Halloween 5 years ago?

Also, I could be wrong but I remember them talking about tactical nuke ammo augment for magnum at around the same time.

Other turrets will eventually get their status augments.

They said they would release those 2 for magnum on haloween 2018... and it's been 5 haloweens since then so I think it's clear that they forgot about them.

They obviously didn't forget about it. If they want to make Pulsar augments for each turret they first need standalone status augments and they confirmed each turret will eventually have their set of status augments.

Well... 5 years... if they haven't forgotten then it has to be procrastination.

If there is a corruption brought up in this game, I believe it!I think these bots exist. Probably there are other bots in the game too. I know tanki has bots because there are a lot of players that don't act like players.

If you read this carefully, this is about something completely else ( as far as I see, it's about sneakers. I doubt that you can use those in tanki). To make an actual bot playing tanki, you'd need to host it (which costs money), code it (which is really hard, as it's basically making an AI) and make it able to connect to tanki as a player. This is a task that only few people (<50) could do in the community, and even if it's done, it's not guaranteed that theycll be able to successfully connect to TO servers. Plus, it'd cost so much money, time and resources that the creator will never benefit from it, it woud be easier and more rewarding if he just plays themselves.

I do believe in hackers, bots, etc. But I don't believe in bots programmed to be noobs. I think such "bots" are just noobs. I think this is just a conspiracy created from unfairness in the MM system, that's all!
