What's this? Finally a good update? Are the devs out of their mind? Maybe they drank too much vodka after celebrating the new year.

Not sure why adrenaline got nerfed though, if anything i would have nerfed it only for turrets that deal self damage to prevent them to abuse the fact that they can lower their own health to gain free damage. But i wouldn't have touched the rest of the turrets.

Why's everything becoming legendary huh, even classic augments like LCR or dead augments like Uranium.

i think they are trying to make Containers more valuable again

I was going to make a post, but when I hit submit the game threw up an error and sent it to the ether. Don’t feel like recreating it completely, so…

Striker splash changes: How does this affect me as a Remote Rocket Explosives user? Am I supposed to interpret this as a rework in damage distribution and not a reduction in splash radius?

Helios nerf: RIP BOZO #PACKWATCH

Magnum/Striker projectile edits: Good change, but the real projectiles in need of a rework are Vulcan and Scorpion. Those absolutely KILL my FPS and are more common.

Vacuum Shells crit reversal: So is this a subtle nerf? As we all know, crits are treated as a direct hit so this’ll lead to less of a damage boost.

Marcus would make such a good politician.

He knows how to keep his rich clients happy. He gives them broken augments for leisure, Provides them the best MM system, where they are placed with low ranks with 4k GS, and every new stuff is offered to them with high prices. When they get bored, peasants like us get to enjoy it for a day then, BOOM, Nerfed.

But he's just a community manager. He doesn't give such things or make any of these changes. He just gives the announcements to the rest of the players.

Adrenaline :

Have to maintain low hp  to deal more damage . Most of time we don't even use repair kit to stay in low hp.

It's Only good on melee turrets.

Vulcan and gauss don't have any good garage augments. So most of them use adrenaline on them.

Rest of the turrets, noone uses on them  and it is very bad.

I thought it will get buff for other turrets to balance them . surprisingly they are nerfed.  Who even uses adrenaline on magnum, shaft and railgun, smoky, striker?.  It will make them more useless and unusable.

It is called balancing?

before map take brutus drone and if u are in battle change to crysis

You only have one change... if that's how you want to use it might as well equip mk1 turret & hull and no protection at first... you could have been doing this long ago actually...

Why does striker still need the average splash damage stat if both weak splash damage and average splash damage are at 50%?

They're flattening the splash damage across most of the radius. The Average splash damage radius is where it first drops below 100% to the stated average splash %. The minimum splash damage radius dictates how far the minimum splash % will go.

So pre-change Striker has 1, 5, 8 -> 100, 90, 25. It drops linearly from 100% to 90% between 1m and 5m, then will drop linearly from 90% to 25% between 5m and 8m.

Post-change Striker will have 1, 2, 8 -> 100, 50, 50. This change flattens the splash across most of the radius. The average splash damage radius here (2m) will decide when it is going to start being flat. The minimum (weak) splash damage radius here (8m) being the same % will decide how far this flattened splash damage will go.

Unpopular opinion, adrenaline is usable on the ones you said otherwise, it's just that occasionally they have far better augments in release to use, like with the latest tkfund bringing stun striker, pulsar smoky, the others with plenty of respective augs too.

Vulcan adrenaline has been a great aug ever since, and for gauss it was just there.

It's a shame the damage was additive rather than multiplicative and that using them will not let players get to max GS anymore. Devs clearly want players to use the 'legendary augs'

look-at-me 9999 GS on the stats window, some of my accounts deliberately have 9993 GS to avoid that

You mean people have high expectations of you because of 9999 GS?

I don't think you can get crits on splash damage
This is of course assuming you hit a wall near a single person, not that you directly hit a person and a second person is in the splash radius

With 3k to 4k to 5k GS differences in current MM, the -100 or -200 deduction to some equipment wont really bring any noticeable change to MM. Dont think you have the playerbase large enough to fix the MM as it is now.

Ooooo painful , they will need some burn-oil ,the player-base is declining and that is pretty obvious because this game is not Tanki Online anymore it is more of a LAS VEGAS ONLINE (full of gambling mindset). What you expect from a game which did'nt get popular in Covid Era. Their player base is so low that sometimes we have to wait for 3-4 mins to find a single MM battle.  There was a time when 300k players use to be online at same time. I am pretty confident that only 15k player or even less players come online in same time.

Just as Thunder was becoming viable, ofc it gets nerfed same with Ricochet; the only nerf I agree with is Isida vampire nanobots

Stock Thunder itself was untouched. Hyperspeed will become only good at long range, as intended (1350 weak damage). Vacuum Shell went from 2250 damage to 1980 damage but can deal critical hits regularly like stock on direct hits. Vacuum Shell is still strong, and will deal with protection much better now. Stock Ricochet received a buff in projectile speed. Helios received a net buff in projectile speed. Like Gauss, it will have strong burst damage and slow reload. Old speed: 120 + 100% = 240 m/s. New speed: 200 + 50% = 300 m/s. This is a net increase.

If they do, then that's another reason not to covet it because I'm unlikely to realize such expectations

One of my Legend accounts still has some 7-11 prots and four of those plus maxed everything else is 9903 GS, and the mythic aspect of 9999 GS is a bit daft when the difference between it and any account with 9800+ GS isn't that much

(my Field Marshal account will have 9759 GS with a maxed hull / turret / hyperion + 4 x 40% prot)

There's just a stealth element with less than 9999 GS because it's just another red number on the stats window and people are less likely to look at the exact number whereas 9999 GS is like a big neon sign that draws attention to yourself

Ever since I maxed brutus and reached 9999 GS an unholy amount of people have been activating their overdrive just to kill me. and I'm not even talking about when I have the flag.

Not exactly. Thunder's critical splash radius is smaller than its overall splash radius. If you look at some videos on Vacuum, you'll see that critical damage is dealt on a direct hit, but most surrounding opponents take regular splash damage. However, direct damage isn't increased with Vacuum anyway, so it ends up being something of a buff to the augment. Stock chance of small increased (critical) damage on direct hits, guaranteed increased damage (regular splash) on outer splash hits.
