That's the thing. You can cry for a year as long as the game generated income it's great in developers eyes. Why? BECAUSE EVERY GAME IS MADE FOR CREATORS TO GET MONEY. As long as players spent they won't do anything about it. This is the truth time to wake up.

To track crystals players spent for drones and then refund every one of them you need completely different tracking system that is created to track drone crystals on purpose. Too much work for something so useless. They probably did their average calculations with sales and stuff and added average amount of crystals YOU EARN IN BATTLE with that drone. So technically F2Ps upgrading on sales is what bringing the refund cost down.

There was a guy who said that nerfing/buffing stuff is fraudulent activity but i can't find the quote (prob deleted lol). It's not fraudulent as long as it's in the rules or another place where they get legal cover. It is public knowledge that stuff gets nerfed/buffed almost every friday. So while buying X turret you should keep in mind that X turret WILL AT SOME POINT get nerfed/buffed. I have absolutely no problem with it.

That being said. The most important thing of running a F2P model is to maintain the ratio between paying customers and non-paying customers. The company earns nothing if no one is paying obviously. Yet, at the same time the existence of the F2P players is to make the buyers feel their purchase(s) worth it while not making the F2P players feel like they are part of the product (even though they are). 

I would say the Devs did a horrible job for the last part so far. I mean this v-log is a very good example of that. I'm not sure who wrote the script, but the reasoning is beyond stupid. Like I get you want to make more profit and that 60% refund is nothing but an incentive, but can't you make a better excuse to cover that up at least?

As I read your comment, I don't think you have any experience as a software engineer.
If they would have all the data we've spent on drones, they could have calculated the exact amount of crystals they should refund us.
And it would not take more than 1-2 days, because they just need to query from the database for that.

Well, I like that developers gave back crystals for what we spent on upgrading the drones which will be removed, but compansating only 60% of crystals is a thing that ruins that update. You've explained that players usually upgraded them on 30-50% discounts and average discount used to upgrade drones was 40%. Honestly, I would prefer getting a compensation from speeding upgrades up. Those who spent crystals on them would get 100% indemnity and feel satisfied that the crystals didn't go to waste( but that doesn't change the fact, that players would still like deleting those 10 drones) and those who didn't spend crystals on speeding ups would get extra prize for patience and smartness.

Augments based on a drones?! Is this a joke?! You removed the drones to "simplify the game" to then create more worse augments which will complicate the gameplay even more. About that removing the drones you cited the opinions of the players that say that T.O is becoming too complicated and showed in the previous episode of the V-LOG some short opinions. And I would like to know why didn't you make a poll in which players could tell which drones they use the least and develop they opinions( like writing something more why they don't use it, is it cause it's weak or it's not popular for example?!?! And after closing the poll check the feedback and do some changes to the least used drones and maybe ask YT-Bers to record videos with drones which my be good in gameplay but are little used. But no, some players said gameplay was getting too complicated and you react "OK, game is too complicated so we'll remove 10 drones." instead of asking them to develop their opinions or do a poll which I mentioned. Just because certain drones have not been used often does not mean they are useless and need to be deleted. What if some of them contain secret potential which may be very useful in gameplay. As I said once, gameplay is complicated not because of drones, but because of augments that apply various status effects. Is it so hard to STOP creating them?! No, not taking a break from making them for few weeks, to STOP creating them at all. World won't end if you stop making them. And listening to players is not about telling them to share what do they think about the update, only to read it later and do something completly different than suggested in feedback without any explanation.

Well, I guess lot of people will feel like getting scammed cause of only 60% compensations and probably leave the game. This is in such a state not by players, but cause of those "updates". For sure this game is going in the wrong direction. It has been for a very long time, months and years.

My disappointment with this is I spent 1,000,000+ crystals on Driver many times but it will only be counted as 500,000*0.6 since they decreased the price 4 months after the devastating nerf.

My suggestion is that players (such as me) who spent tankoins to buy drone kits must be reimbursed.

Because take me, for example. I bought the ''trinity'' kit at 1,800 tankoins during black friday. Proof that i bought it? Check my profile, go to the drones section and you'll find that I have defender at ''colonel'' rank, which can be bought for crystals only at ''general'' rank. 1,800 tankoins is a LOT for me, as a non-buyer. Now that two of the drones are getting removed, I want to receive a compensation in terms of TANKOINS.

Calculation for Micro Upgrades and Speed Ups:

mil*.7 + 2*mil*.5 = mil(.7+2*.5) = mil(.7+1) = 1.7mil

where .7 and .5 are the 30% and 50% discounts, respectively
mil is one million, and 2*mil is the 2 million, the crystal price of speed ups, (no discounts)

it should be 1.7

It's hard to put a price to the level of enjoyment you got out of using those drones. The real fee structure is:

20% sales/speed up costs

15% drone rental fee

5% transaction fee to do this circus transaction

 

above fees are non-refundable!

you get the other 60% back. very fair

Like for example I could have a miner hull augment and AP Hull immunity at the same time? Cause nowadays we need those status hull immunities...

ok seeing over the weekend I finally got to watch this v-log.

my final thoughts to this change over is a waste of time and company money. seeing not only did most players receive there drones from tankion packages or purchased from crystals , either way we worked long and hard to get them where they are. if we had know that this Dev team would wash them under the rug just like other items in the past they have done. whats the point of even buying items with tankions only just to get them changed into supplies or crystals. if we wanted to buy crystals we would have in the first place. I have an account which is now fully upgraded on all items - only items needed now are paints / augments which you need to purchase tankions in order to receive them. I have played Tanki and Tanki X over the 10 years I have been here and have to say like I have stated in the past , it's time this company changes the Dev team from the top down. we the players have been dealing with so much over the years and they still can't figure out how to fix the game. no sooner we just get use to an item it gets changed or removed. in the past it was MM that came and went m but then returned not much changed from when it was first added to the game. the paints use to have protection but for some strange reason the Dev team changed it to separate protection system which also was paid off with crystals . so why are we the players still here if your wondering , most higher ranks have invested time and money into this game . for what we still don't know why ... can someone explain why the management of this company has not seen the light like the players have.

If you bring that to court, they're just gonna laugh and roll their eyes because the players should already know that everything is subject to changed unless stated otherwise. Did anything in the shop say that stats were set in stone? Did they promise that it was the strongest thing in the game? No? :D

Well it started with you complaining that the lead dev is testing a new augment concept in live servers calling it "unfair".

Multiple people have told you that the test server doesn't provide adequate results like the live servers do.

You then made an outlandish comparison between said scenario and the pharmaceutical and automobile companies. A scenario in a game that causes absolutely no harm at all vs two things that can cause serious bodily harm if botched.

Multiple people have told you how ridiculous your comparison was even me, 6 people apparently agreed with me.

I've been constantly telling you that its just a game. Your next responses were by far some of the most idiotic things I've ever heard:
