Patch Update #722 - Released 28th April 2023

  • A new augment for Gauss has been added to Ultra Containers — «Stunning Salvo».
    • (Note) Critical damage and salvo shots apply the «Stun» status effect to the target.
  • Firebird
    • Reload time increased from 1 second to 2-1 seconds
  • Freeze
    • Reload time increased from 2 seconds to 3-2 seconds
  • Smoky
    • Reload time decreased from 1.81-1.15 to 1.5-1 seconds
    • Critical damage decreased from 670-800 to 395-790 HP
    • Average critical damage chance changed from 11-22% to 15%
    • Coefficient of decreasing shot reload duration when Viking’s overdrive is activated changed from 0.25 to 0.3
    • «Autocannon» augment
      • The regular damage decrease changed from -75% to -50%
      • Added a decrease of critical damage chance by -40%
    • «Pulsar» augment
      • Removed the decrease of critical damage chance
  • Vulcan
    • «Shooting speed regulator» augment
      • The increase of reload time changed from +10% to +50%
      • Added an increase of Regular damage by +50%
      • Added an increase of Critical damage chance by +50%
      • The decrease of barrel startup and slowdown time changed from -80% to -90%
  • Drones
    • Rank from which Drones become available changed from Sergeant-Major (10) to Warrant Officer 1 (11)
    • Mechanic — usage of additional Repair Kits reduced from 4 to 2 
    • Radius of effect increased from 20-25 to 20-30 meters; additional health points restored increased from 500-2000 to 1000-3000
  • Augments
    • Rank from which Augments become available changed from Warrant Officer 1 (11) to Master Sergeant (8)
  • Protection Modules
    • Rank from which Modules become available changed from First Sergeant (9) to Warrant Officer 3 (13) 
  • Fixed a bug in Sport mode Pro battles, which was leading to increased damage parameters when equipping certain augments
  • Fixed the bug with the notification indicator dot in Mission Categories.
  • Fixed the problem with images of Mission Categories when the page is scaled down in the browser.
  • Fixed the issue with linebreak for titles of Mission Categories.
  • Fixed the Overdrive icons for hulls used in special events.

That sounds even more confusing. What was said in the patch note is how you would accurately phrase that change. 

 

A less confusing one would be "The regular damage is now reduced by -50% instead of -75%."

Guys, I have a question about modules. 
I have a Captain rank account where I have enough crystals to buy all modules at their max Mk rank available. Will I still be able to micro-upgrade these modules when these will be available only at a higher rank than Captain? 
Please, someone being sure about this thing, answer for me!

@Marcus
You should specify if these adjustions are for Vulcan or for the augment Shooting Speed Regulator. The lack of bullet spacing makes it confusing to understand what is going on here.

That's definitively better than my sentence. My point was that Marcus should specify if each change is a nerf or a buff.

Its pretty clear that its a buff.

Also, even though the number sounds good on paper, its firing rate is reduced by 50% when using the augment. So a damage increase of 50% means the DPS is in theory the same as as stock Vulcan. And do remember that human, aka, us will miss their shots. So the practical DPS will be lower than stock Vulcan.

So it is a slight buff for the augment as previously it has -10% reduced firing rate with no other changes. But it still doesn't solve the main problem of Vulcan's turret rotation speed is just so slow right now

To activate the drone, you still have to use a repair kit - if it's your own, you use 1 and then the drone consumes 2 more repair kits as specified in the Patch notes, which adds up to the 3 repair kits you mentioned. That's how most of the drones work today.

As expected, Vulcan without RAT is practically unusable right now. So thanks Dev for making a Jammer augment that is practically worse than a F2P augment. I guess the Devs forgot people don't always have speed boost active to compensate, especially when using Crisis, the exact drone that they want to promote

You can upgrade your modules only if that particular rank allows it. If your rank goes beyond a particular module then you have to buy that module for full price. 

My advice is do not upgrade modules that are below 50% upgraded if you are going to rank soon, but rather wait until you rank and buy the module/s at full price.

After you have upgraded fully you still have to buy the next module at full price, so upgrading is a waste of cry imo.

Even though there are no speed-ups, upgrading really gains you nothing at the lower ranks apart from wasted cry.

It's your choice but i would not upgrade at all until you have at least MK6/MK7, any upgrading before that is a waste imo.

I have had so far better results with smoky than before, more precisely, augments like sorted ammunition and pulsar. Also HPAS, jammer, incendiary and autocannon are almost as great. I do not have have all augments, everything else is maybe playable, but I will just note that some are underwhelming like assault, adrenaline, explosive, emp and supercumulative (although these last two are pretty good in combo with dictator).

I seems to experience quite a few occasion of random self destruct follow by the infamous no damage bug recently.

I think critical dmg shouldn't be lower then normal attack, the critical shot should be the strong one, so it should be in the range: 600-790 HP otherwise it doesn't sound very serious that a normal shot can deal 600 HP damage, and this special critical shot can deal 395 HP

At Mk8, normal damage is 600 and critical damage is 790.
