Patch Update #725 - Released 26th May 2023

 

  • A new augment for Thunder has been added to Ultra Containers — «Anvil Shells».

    • (Note) This augment works the same way as the «Sledgehammer Rounds» augment, but it can also deal critical damage, even with splash damage.

  • Added a new category of missions — «Entry Bonus».

  • Firebird

    • Critical damage decreased from 610-1700 to 560-1600 HP/sec (152.5-425 → 140-400 HP/tick)

    • Critical damage chance decreased from 10% to 5%

  • Freeze

    • Critical damage chance decreased from 7% to 5%

  • Isida

    • Critical damage chance decreased from 7% to 5%

    • Energy consumption without target decreased from 50 to 40 eng/sec

    • Energy consumption while healing decreased from 80 to 50 eng/sec

  • Wasp

    • Overdrive charge per second decreased from 666 to 555 unit/sec

  • Modules

    • The rank at which Mk1-Mk6 modules become available increased from Lieutenant Colonel (21) to Lieutenant General (25)

  • Players who haven’t entered the game for at least 300 days in a row, get a special bonus upon entering the game.

The Thunder augment collection is finally completed after a year.

Much needed improvement to healing. Support Nanobots gets a nice buff (might end up being a repeat of the February 2019 Isida score farming) and offensive Isidas can be less hesitant to heal injured allies before going towards the enemy.

So there's two augments that are basically sledgehammer rounds now.

I have been talking about this for every single patch. Who knows. Maybe they decided to play it dirty again by adding that as part of an Exotic aug and sell it for 500 USD

It reduces max and min range by 80%, who's gonna use it. ??? I guess not even an exotic augment can save something as atrocious as Sledgehammer right now.

Might take a while. Remember those months when Railgun had a 1.6 sec warmup time and was absolute trash?

Some developer probably really got mad at someone with sledgehammer in battle. That's probbs why they nerfed it to such an extent that it's unusable.

Is "Entry-Bonus" limited to 7 consecutive days starting  today? Or does it still count if I miss a day or two in between and need, say, 10 days for 7 logins?

There doesn't seem to be a countdown attached to the whole mission category itself, so I'd assume it'll just keep track of the logins even if I don't log in on consecutive days ...

I remember doing 1k then 300 from basically same distance ?

I had the misfortune to recieve the new Anvil augment, and it sucks so so so so so so so bad.... This is so frustrating. Last exotic item I got was the useless Isida GT skin, back in January, and now they give me Anvil Shells. And why tf I'm getting anvil shells, and not one of the dozen other augments??? This is a farce.

Sledgehammer rounds being "Exotic" is a worse scam than Isida GT

Interesting that the 80% debuff really was completely intentional.

I don't know why I can't get to TOP-3 in Arms Race. Don't know if it's a skill issue, or the game depends on how lucky are you in stealing the kills and not having your kills stolen. But I suggest this mode to have the main tank as Hornet instead of Viking. Viking is boring and pretty slow to die /or catch other players. Hornet would be more interesting and give more chance of less frustration.

For me the best turrets are: Firebird, Isida, Tesla. As you're guaranteed you will complete the kill.

While the worst are: Railgun, Magnum. Good luck in killing anyone.

Hornet is too light for this mode. Everyone will die too easily. In this mode everyone will be using mk7 non upgraded tank. So if it's a hornet, it'll only have 1.8k health.

This also as well means every turret has less damage, slower reload. While also means Viking is slower, which clearly show the need of a faster hull at least (Hornet).

At this point, Sledgehammer and Anvil augment needs buff by increasing the range of maximal damage, seriously, if you want to max damage someone, you need to be super close to opponent and literally splash damage yourself as you hit the enemy

The addition of the new useless augment literally proves there's no hope for the augment. Instead of fixing the augment, they release a "better" version of it, which obviously backfired. I don't even think they'll even try to fix it. The nerf of sledgehammer looked VERY personal, considering how much it got nerfed.

It's not uncommon for them to have a few weeks (patches) of something OP or UP. Expect a good chunk of the Thunder augments' effectiveness to get buffed/changed in the near future. Now that they finally released the Sledgehammer upgrade, they can start looking into the garage augments to make them useable compared to Vacuum and Adaptive Reload.

That's the part that confused me. In the patch note of its nerf, it was said to be reduced by 50% but in-game it was 80%, then the Wiki soon changed after to reflect that. 50% would have killed its OPness but at least it would still have some use afterwords. 80% killed it entirely and it stayed like that for a year until now when the last Thunder augment comes. Autocannon during its lengthy time-out period was weak but you could have at least still used it.
