Well, it's only if your opponent has full HP. In most of the situations where you face a player from the enemy team, his HP won't be full. But it is up to you which augment do you want to buy, I'd suggested you high cap augment, because it's better in most of the situations.

I recommend not using hopper at all for capping the flags since its stability has big issues now, rather use any other hovering hull which performs a lot better, and as for your answer, lightweight.

You're not the first to say that Hopper is unstable -- can you please clarify? Are you talking about flipping off ledges? Inertia? Knockback?

I think that he is talking about flipping. As you might know, Hopper was really hardly nerfed. It's nearly impossible to drive with it, every impact you receive can make your hull flip.

Hopper used to have the "hovering stability" factor before, any shot on any portion of the tank didn't affect its flight, you would still land upright no matter whether you are flying or going down a building or a ramp, now since it's removed just like Marekos explained, any significant impact can make your hull flip more quickly than before, and when using its OD, hopper is very vulnerable now as any long range shot on the hull will make it flip and thus make the whole situation worse.

I didn't know about the nerf, actually. I've been playing Hopper Lightweight on test server, and I've never been flipped by shot impact. I've flipped running into hillsides though.

Yeah, even without impact, it can be difficult to land upright using OD. You have to slowly drag your mouse which could land you off target. I was thinking that Hopper was the best flag running hull because you could hop over obstacles and minefields... I don't know anymore. ?

Currently, the best flying hull is Paladin.

Funny how they nerf OP stuff when they think it's monetary value has been squeezed dry.

In my opinion, you should do it, EMP can be pretty dangerous.

He meant that EMP hull augment will protect him against EMP status from turrets. Hornet itself (or any other hull) won't protect you against status effects, unless you have bought and equipped hull augment.

Hey! 

I have a few questions. I came back to TO after a long break and have basically no idea anymore. I think you can see my garage on my profile. What should be y next steps?

I have made a new account, and am planning to specialize on striker/viking. It seems like you get many containers at the beginning. When is the best time to open them? What do you recommend doing on a new account first? What are the most important steps after having created a new account?

Freeze is close range, you need hornet or wasp or trickster drone to make freeze up to speed to circle freeze around enemy.

I use freeze Ap with hunter trickster, this combo can give 5 status effect = ap, emp, stun, freeze, jam, also disable enemy damage boost.

If enemy has no Ap immu, you can crush them 1 vs 2

 

Other people use adrin freeze dict trickster combo as JGR hunter, as freeze alone deal a lot of damage, plus dict OD boost damage 3x and make ignore protection module as critical damage

Any good short range turrets? We have the sale in the garage today and I am thinking about upgrading a 2nd turret. My main is Gauss (MK7) so I am thinking my other one should be short range. So the options are Freeze, Firebird, Isida, Tesla, and... Hammer? My hulls are MK7 Wasp (Main) and Hornet (MK5), I prefer speed over amour, I also have Dictator MK7 which I rarely use and I am beginning to use Viking MK3 more often now because I love the OD (I'll also upgrade Viking today during the Easter sale, playing against other Legends with MK3 Viking has gotten difficult). Hammer is the odd one out since it's not really a "melee" style turret, but Viking/Hammer seems to be very good and when using it with Blunderbuss or Duplet argument along with Booster drone, it's pretty much an instant kill. Tesla is obviously really cool because of how you can use it. Isida heals but ever since they took away Isida's ability to heal itself while damaging enemies (sucking their life out) and now you can only do that with Vampire augment, I don't like using it.

That depends on which turret you have the most OP or status augments, because then upgrading the said turret would be most effective in MM.

To answer the question when to open the containers you get, I usually open them every time I reach the amount of 5 as it seems to be the best option. Opening containers one by one can get very repetitive over time as you always need to go to the containers section, click on it and open. Opening 15 containers at once isn't bad, but collecting 15 containers might not be that easy. Just make sure to complete daily and weekly missions regularly (if possible) to guarantee the highest amount of containers you can get. Weekly containers are a great way to gain crystals and supplies along with some tankoins.

Once you create an account, you should immediately link it to your email account to secure it a little more and to get a bonus of 5 containers and 5 tankoins. You should also enable two-factor authentication for the best security of your account. You can find a great guide on how to do that here.

Another thing you should keep in mind is not to rush. In the current state of the game, it is very easy to gain experience fast, and that could lead into some troubles in higher ranks.

You need to spend your crystals wisely and choose one or two combos you are willing to play with and upgrade them. For the start, I would definitely recommend getting the Brutus drone as it doesn't require batteries for it to be used and only uses 1 unit of the supply used. It is also quite cheap to upgrade.

I believe that should answer most of your questions.

What i wanted to know about opening containers was, if I miss out on something if i open them right away. But from what your answer seems like that isnt the case.
