Hm, I'm not sure why heavy hulls with Trickster are bad in capture modes on large maps, because Trickster boosts Mk7+ Mammoth's speed to 11.8 - close to 12, the light hull's speed, and faster than 11.3, a medium with speed boost - and it can keep that speed almost constantly with 3 s cool down. It seems like it should have a decent chance of attacking and running away with a captured flag, at least to me.

And Mammoth's overdrive would add even more speed, though only temporarily.

Do you know how much? According to wiki, +50%, but is that +50% of the original speed (which is 6, so 3 more speed) or +50% of whatever the current speed happens to be? That sounds kinda insane so I guess not? ?

True as that they may be..... 
Your supplies will only have 30 seconds till it reaches cooldown, you will arrive at the enemy base, but you wont be able to use supplies from your own pocket cuz of the cooldown (unless you collect bonus boxes)

Bad choice.......
Rapid fire mode isnt best when your in sniping mode, The damage will be less. rapid fire mode is best with any offensive drones. Besides Rapid fire mode isnt built for camping players....... 
My guess, use trickster/booster for this with any lighter hulls

Stocked up ~1m crystals for this sale to buy my first Mk7s. Does anyone have suggestions on what to buy/good, mostly f2p combos in the meta rn?

Don't have any standout alterations besides maybe Plasma Torch, Stunning and AP Tesla, Shaft RFM and Healing, Corrosive Freeze.

Have most turrets at Mk5 prot, not sure if it's worth upgrading a couple of those?

You can always go for Paladin on Viking in the hulls

And hammer for the turret, even Ricochet performs good in the battles, but firstly you have to check which augments for turret do you have...

Based on your Augments, I would recommend Tesla which is powerful both in attack and defense. Stun and AP will be useful in most situations. 

And I would also recommend Shaft, since you got Healing. That augment will be useful even with a stock mk7 Combo, and will let you rack up crystals easily for future upgrades.

 

As of now, Ricochet is trash besides Helios so I would Skip it, but you know, the Devs like to rebalance things every week or so...

Tesla stun is an awesome augment, very strong for CTF, CP or Siege.

I hardly have issues with that. You active speed boost first and then wait to active other supplies when you get closer to the enemy. Each supply activated takes away 5s from your speed boost cooldown, therefore once it runs out, you can activate another right away. + As you said, you should take bonus boxes when possible

SBE and rapid fire mode is for close range but if you use sniper mode more often than heavy capacitors is the best otherwise SBE is better than rapid fire mode

Does SBE increase damage-per-minute of arcade shot or does it only change reload-damage ratio? (longer reload and higher damage per shot but overall damage output is the same as stock arcade shot)

it only increase the minimum sniper damage which means fire directly after entering sniper mode

I bought short-band emitter today on sale and was very happy with it.

But does anyone know how the damage during snipe-shot charge-up is increased? As the lowest damage possible is increased while max damage stay the same, does that mean that damage during the entire charge is increased? (as in the 2nd image)

Or the 3rd image, only lowest damage is increased but doesnt increase for a moment and then charges the same as stock?

Thankful for answers. I can just test it but I figured I'd ask too.

So Shaft is in quite a spot right now. It is divided into three routes if you're looking to put in some effort. Camping, quickscoping, and arcade shots. 

 

Camping - Heavy Capacitors/Healing Emitters.

 

Quickscoping/Offensive- Healing Emitters, Short-Band Emitters, Light Capacitors, Armour-Piercing Sight, Adrenaline, Rapid-Fire Mode.

 

Arcades - Rapid-Fire Mode, Short-Band Emitters. 

 

If you're considering Heavy Capacitors and you're aware that it's going to take longer to reload, then it sounds like you want to go down the camping route. The current parameters of Shaft encourage utilising its energy retention mechanic. Players that want to fully charge sniping shots will have to wait longer for them to reload.

Heavy Capacitors removes the ability to meaningfully use the energy retention mechanic, along with increasing the amount of time it takes to fully reload, meaning it is there for those who want to fully charge and/or hold it for the right target. If you are putting in effort and are able to put your sights on the target you want in 3 seconds, then Heavy Capacitors isn't necessary to use. If you usually take long to put your sights on the target, then it sounds like it would be a good match. Keep in mind that Heavy Capacitors runs counter to what the current settings of Shaft encourage, so don't be surprised if you feel weak at any point. You're intentionally going down a path that is being discouraged.

If you intend to camp primarily with Shaft, then it should be worth it for you.

defender gives highest armor than booster or trickster. camper is not very good because its useless unless u use magnum . 

 

i also had a question? do you think blaster or defender is better for players who like to pull flags?
