At your rank, I would say Railgun - Hornet (XP), because you can one shot light hulls most of the time with DD, the OD is op, there aren't many protections, and the reload time is decent.

Yeah. I noticed it too. Wayyy too many Shafts now. @Tidebreaker must be happy now.

I mean... I'm happy that it finally got buffed, but I'm sad that it's becoming as easy to abuse as Vulcan was. Complex to explain.

Haha, I feel you. Vulcan used to be my third fav before it had the buff.

These turrets are kind of similar. However, this depends more on the battle modes you choose. Gauss is excellent for Seige, Shaft is good for assault (blue team) and TJR, and to be fair, I would have to give Gauss the advantage, but Shaft was recently buffed, so your choice.

I'd suggest Shaft since it is more challenging and fun to use.

I was called a noob for using Shaft, maybe the player was pissed after I killed him repetitively...

So is gauss. Besides, it’s more mobile and better in attacking/midfielding than shaft.

Being less mobile is exactly why I find Shaft more exciting to use, it's more of a challenge to be a good Shaft player than using Gauss (in my honest opinion). Plus, Shaft can be aggressive and successfull in offence too - without using RFM - and it does more damage, to consider

Ikr. I use SBE and it is a complete beast when I'm in the "zone". I can attack pretty well with Shaft. Even more than Firebird. Most people underestimate it's mobile sniping capabilities.

Both SBE and LC are really good augments and will teach you how to be a true master with Shaft. RFM works too, but since last update it is even stronger than usual and requires few skill to practise and learn, making it less fun to use

I agree. I like a bit competition while playing. Thus I use SBE. I feel stock Shaft is a too under-powered in the current meta and doesn't really suit my style. How does HC work?

Basically, with Heavy Capacitors, you can deal more damage, but it takes longer to consume the energy to get there. It's good for killing the juggernaut.

Stock Shaft functions just fine, there is nothing much to remark on it, but augments offer more variety in gameplay.

I dont really need to explain how HC works, slower charging gives more damage. It is best suited for taking down Juggernauts or when you are facing strong opponents while having the space to settle yourself without being blasted within seconds.

Booster supports Shaft a lot; apart from the notorious RFM, it allows SBE to OHKO medium hulls with one arcade shot and it boosts HC's damage by a lot too, guaranteeing to one shot a Juggernaut - but besides that, it can be clever to have this drone equipped in case you want to secure your chances of killing an enemy

EDIT: it does not need a drone to be good perse; again, without one it serves you well

man light capacitor is so underrated in TJR .at first i thought it was bad in that mode but i slowly learnt .wait for the jugr to get battered ,helps using hornet OD ,turn on dd ,zoom in and one-shot him in a split second .he won't know what hit him .keep ur distance get in as many shots as u can .HC takes longer to accumulate power ,making it a sitting duck in many cases

I'm a Shaft/Hunter player, always has been, high tide or low tide, but with the Shaft buff, the new Shaft/RFM/Hornet meta makes me sick at heart, everyone and their cousin-sister have Shaft protection now, this is disgusting.

Lets note that the 'new meta' is always Hornet/[insert random turret] + Booster or Defender.

Last match I played there was 5 Shafts in my team and 3-4 in the other. About a third on both side were Hornets.

Edit: I fecking hate Hornet Online.

Couldn't agree more with you. As a dedicated Shaft player, seeing other tankers abuse Shaft that way makes my heart bleed.

You are right about Hornet too, but this is not the forum-topic to discuss that issue

Pair that with Double Power and Brutus, you can deal over 9,000 damage per charged shot.

Me: I'm a Hornet-Shaft dude, but the new buff combined with RFM is triggering me to the extreme. Guess who's fault that now we have a whole armies of Eagles modules everywhere???

If I see one of them in matchmaking and started to mugging everyone, I'm going to chain-mug him/her using the same setup (but with Light Capacitor and Brutus instead)
