Armadillo is already expensive enough lol

Missions counter is cool but making prots almost 2x more expensive is not, 1M would be acceptable

Before this update you need 835k to maximize a module.

After this update you need 1.26M almost 50% increase.. very nice tanki

What about pro battles where microupgrades are off, does it mean protection modules gonna be 1% or 35%?

Good point, they start as 5%, so I'm assuming they will be 5% in MU off battles. Sounds very sad ?

I wouldn't call that sad. This is now an actual option to kind of disable prots.

If this means what I think it means, then no more spending up to 13 minutes in the loading screen, hopefully.

Seems everyone forgot speedup removal? Did people really take that for more than granted? Well, it finally returned, the mighty tax payment for having instant upgrades permanently.

If we do count the old speedup costs, 900K in total for just MK7-0 to MK7-15. The true older cost to max a module, instantly, would have been 1'735'00 Crystals. Armadillo in comparison, for the same method, took 8'675'000 Crystals.

In general, this change is worse for slow and patient upgraders, whilst being far better for people who upgrade in bulks asap. Although the moment they removed speedups, it was literally broken for everyone. Now it has numbed down how cheap it was.

So the answer is to penalize those who are patient and slowly build out their garages, while benefiting those who are inpatient? Saving time should always come at a cost.

You can quote your large/exorbitant numbers all you want. No one upgraded modules at full price + speedup unless you are a megabuyers (not representative of the average player).

Just another garbage update. Safe to say im done with the game. It has gone downhill quite a lot in the 1 year I decided to play it again.

Tanki fund nerfed. Battle pass nerfed. Can't buy nice augments with crystals anymore. Modules inaccessible for new players and cost 50% more to upgrade now. UC's about to be nerfed.

It's whatever. I couldn't care less anymore. You legacy players who have everything already can have fun killing each other.

Clause 1; Yes unfortunately tanki wants to penalise those who try to get away with cheaper costs because they can afford to be patient.

Clause 2; Never said everyone upgraded at full price, at least on sales, a lot of people pretty much smashed the upgrade button; we are still better off on a 50 sale in comparison to when speedups existed.

Clause 3; Why were you actually expecting this module conversion to not have a lot of negatives? Was it not more than obvious that there were gonna be quite the taxes.

Clause 4; Pretty much unfortunate for new players, gaining new players should become a lot more difficult, can bet they will maybe eventually make single module bundles available at recruit rank for a fair amount of tk during some events maybe, would not be surprised of this.

Clause 5; Fun still exists? :despair:

Removal of speed-ups was a good update for people just entering legend ranks. The disparity in overall GS between a legend 1 and legend 100 was and still is immense, made worse by the MM system treating them as the same rank more or less. Removal of speed-ups helped with this problem, allowing lower Legends to build up their garage faster, enabling them to compete with higher Legends, despite the level difference. Considering there are many things to buy and upgrade in Tanki, some of which can't even be bought for crystals, I wouldn't have called it "broken"

Unrelated to you, if Tanki was planning on to increase the prices of modifications to balance out the removal of speed-ups, they should have done it then. It would have been treated with more sensibility than letting us get used to the new prices, then suddenly dropping this price hike on us. Try looking for consistency in Tanki

The patch note is totally trash, @Opex-RahYou forgot to balance some augments that are way too OP like Assault augment for hammer, despite I have 50% protection against hammer, I get absolutely beamed by it.

Preach. So many trash updates. This is probably it for me too. Maybe I'll come back during 1 of the 3 or 4 events worth participating in for f2p players.

I am just as confused as to why they keep doing stuff like this.

Then again, I guess they are placing us on the Titanic right now, spam upgrades with some mulla, or gotta cope a bit more.

Broken for the smart and older gen players in comparison, but I do completely hear you about how the game progresses too quick for new players with the ranking up being so tediously quick and frustrating.

The one combo players basically had it a lot easier.

I highly doubt prices will be lowered, considering a 50% sale is a general baseline for upgrading garages for most part, tankers day, might be the next if lucky.

Speed ups usually has higher discounts in the event than normal upgrades.

They went from being 75% in the past, down to eventually 70% on the last black friday and down 50% on xmas. That may have been a general sign that they were going to do away with it. Which they did...

The price of MUs is already updated on wiki (pre-update prices are in a spoiler at the bottom, so you can compare, etc.).
https://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_of_Modules

The total price was increased by 50%, from around 830k to 1.26m, but (Akame mentioned it too) this will still be cheaper than old system with speed-ups. I guess we at least had few months of cheap upgrades and even during a 50% sale.

Now the interesting part, you can still save some crystals if you do certain upgrades today, before the update. (haha, bit over 4 hours left)

Spoiler

The old system was split in modifications, upgrades started very cheap and their price kept increasing. However, this happened for each modification. For example the last upgrade of Mk6 module costed 67k, but the first upgrade of Mk7 one was only 1k. Of course you had to buy the Mk7 modification too, but the upgrade price wasn't consistently increasing.
If you check the new system of upgrades, the price keeps consistently increasing. Very easy to remember, the price of upgrade is 1000x more than the protection % at that MU level. So the 36% upgrade will costs 36k crystals, but if you happen to own an Mk7 module with 0 upgrades, it only costs 1000 crystals now, so you can save 17k crystals compared to a price after the upgrade during a 50% sale.

If you can't be bothered to read or try to understand, just trust me, there are some upgrades which are cheaper at the moment than they will be from tomorrow, even during a 50% sale.
1) Players under General rank who have some modules and can only micro upgrade them. (comparing the price now, to the new price during a 50% sale)

Spoiler

Mk1 and Mk2 - It's worth to fully upgrade them (these upgrades will each be at least 2x more expensive, so even in 50% sale it will be more)

Mk3 - 4/5 upgrades are cheaper, the last one isn't.

Mk4 - 2/5

Mk5 - 2/5
Mk6 - 1/5

Mk7 - 5/15
If you already have these levels of upgrades, then it'll be cheaper to wait for a 50% sale.

If you have very little crystals and can't afford to spend a lot, I still recommend you to upgrade each module once, it is ridiculously worth it, you are saving often over 10k by spending 1k crystals now.

2) Players at general rank or higher. (same, comparing to a 50% sale)

Spoiler

This one is easier, you can either buy higher modifications, or micro upgrade Mk7.

However, the math is a bit worse, as it depends on how much % protection your module currently have. I'll just shortly sum it up.
If you don't have certian module, buy it. It's 100% worth, saves you ~25k per module.

You can buy up to Mk4 module, it's worth if you currently own up to Mk3 with 1 upgrade. If you have Mk3 with 2 or more upgrades, it's now cheaper to wait for a 50% sale later.

Mk5 and higher is NOT worth buying at the moment, it will be cheaper during a 50% sale.

If you already own a Mk7 module, the same as previous spoiler applies, it is worth to upgrade it to 5/15 (and SUPER worth to upgrade at least first step).

If you plan on to buy/upgrade stuff in a 30% sale, it might be worth to spend even more right now, but that's up to you.
I'm quite sure about these results, but as usual there can always be a mistake, so use the info at your own risk, thanks.

You can now see your mission progress in the special tab of the battle end screen

I find this now to be a pain in the back side. see when you have completed all of the special missions , you now will have a blank page loaded.

please give us a button in the settings to have this be closed / removed from viewing and only have the battle pages loaded.

the only time I want to see the missions is when I click on the garage section in a battle to see how many more tanks to destroy or amount of supplies to finish off the mission.

or maybe remove this from battle page and place it in the interest section ( basally the area when we have to click on garage section in top right hand of the battle page) would be way better for players.

For one good update no drawbacks in my eyes gg tanki

To all the whining guys they removed the time from mu with time it was 2+m for a full prot so its very acceptable in terms of crystals

Stoo whining sometimes they have good updates

For those complaining about Hydra being too OP, what do you think about removing the vertical auto-aim during the salvo? Mobile currently doesn't have this (neither does it have horizontal auto-aim).

information about the future price increase was a month earlier (if not longer) and I managed to max out almost everything, between the announcement and the increase there was a 50% promotion and probably two 30% promotions, so you could be prepared

There will come a time when 50% sales will be the same as buying at full price. 2023 garage item 2000 tk, 2024 same item 4000tk, with sale 2000tk.

Nope your wrong. Every update has been to serve their purpose, not the players.
